VCC 500 ar Functional Description Check valves are two port valves that allow flow from to only, with no reverse flow permitted. The Oilgear Towler range of Check Valves are of the slip-in cartridge type, available with cracking pressures up to 3.5 ar. Using standard cartridge centres based on ISO 7368, they are capable of working at pressures up to 500 ar. The conventional check valve design is used in most applications and can only rotate around the centreline, and so seating remains positive. The inherent advantage of precision machining of seats ensures that in service the controlled width of the seat is retained and therefore lifting pressure remains constant throughout the life of the valve. The large area available in the spring cavity and the long guide with small clearances ensures good seating. Standard Design Poppet In Sleeve The standard check valve assembly consists of a top cap and an Oilgear Towler standard poppet with internal balance. Variations of the conventional poppet allow for different options of top cap assembly and flow control. VCC 500 ar Options Check Valve (External Drillings) If required, the poppet can be left undrilled for remote operations. The check valve uses external drillings in the top cap to connect correctly. This type of poppet can also be combined with an adjustable lift. Undrilled Poppet, Code Symbol Valve Type No djustment, Code N djustable Lift The standard poppet is available with an adjustable lift to control the flow by restricting the valve opening. The threaded adjusting screw can be positioned to the desired height, which will then limit the opening of the poppet. It cannot be adjusted under pressure.
