Disc s & Scrapers Gangs Hi-Clearance Scraper The 5-inch Hi-Clearance rigid scraper on 8200/8300 models handles the higher amounts of residue with today s high-yielding Bt Corn hybrids. The scraper s shallower angle and higher integral mount offer better residue flow and blade-cleaning performance. With 32% more open area between blades and 37% longer than previous designs, the Hi-Clearance scraper ensures easy residue flow and soil removal. Gang angles vary by model and weight classification to optimize soil mixing and leveling for consistent performance. Rear gangs feature tapered blades to eliminate ridging. Bolt-on extension spool and furrow filler blade are standard equipment on Krause discs, so inadvertently hitting an obstacle doesn t damage the entire gang. Dual Scrapers SuperSeal Bearing Built with a Krause signature overlapping front gang design for a level field finish, a Krause disc has no center shank to adjust or bunch residue. Depending on Rock-Flex SuperSeal regreasable bearings have a triple-lip seal and are safely protected in a ductile iron clamp and encased in a rubber shock-absorbing material. SuperSeal bearings are backed by Krause s 3-year limited parts warranty. Krause Spools Positioned for maximum residue defection, adjustable dual scrapers at the Rock-Flex arm locations clean both the inside and outside of blades at the bearing location. This exclusive feature is standard on all 8200 and 8300 Series tandem disc harrows (optional on all other Series). Residue Razor the model, 20- to 26-inch Residue Razor disc blades size, mix and bury for ideal in-field performance to match the residue or soil conditions. Rock-Flex models feature C-arm type bearing hangers to flex over stones and protect components from damage in rocky fields. Heavy-duty C-arms 2.5" x 1.25" ensure dependable durability. An exacting manufacturing process includes heat treating for durability and shot peening to relieve stress. This high level of quality goes into every product manufactured by Krause! Krause heavy cast spools are not just spacers for the disc blades, they multiply the strength of the disc gang, making it an industry-best design. Krause spools are line-bored for an exact fit on the tie rod and precision-faced to perfectly match the blade surface. A larger bell on the convex end and a smaller bell on the concave end provide an overlap fit against the blades. This supports the blade more positively without creating a stress line like with competitive designs. Other disc manufacturers use fabricated spools made by welding a round steel stamping on each end of a piece of tubing. The resulting spacer does not provide a precisionmachined gripping surface. And since the fabricated spools are the same diameter on both ends, a stress line is created by the disc blade flexing. All Krause discs feature Residue Razor disc blades that are engineered with a unique Boron steel alloy to optimize flexibility to withstand stress and fractures, hardness to be strong in rocks and provide long wear life and sharpness up to five times sharper than conventional blades to cut through mother nature's toughest residues. 4 Krause Disc Harrows Disc s & Scrapers 5

Hydraulics, Hitches & Wheels Self-Leveling Hitch Castering Gauge Wheels Corrosion-Resistant Rods Tractor Interface Center A massive A-frame hitch on the 8200/8300 Series uses a standard turnbuckle adjusted self-leveling system. Once adjusted for the tractor s drawbar height, the unit maintains a level working position even when depth changes are made. The narrow hitch design enables added tire clearance for tighter headland turns. Cushioned Hitch To help pivot with the disc harrow on contours instead of creating a furrow, the castering gauge wheels are standard on the Quad-Fold models and optional on others. The wrenchless" adjustment makes setting easier than ever. Walking Tandems Designed specifically for track and articulated tractors, the exclusive Guardian Hitch option minimizes stress on the tractor drawbar and implement frame. Lateral drawbar forces are transferred through the hitch pivot, where shock is dampened by urethane cushion blocks. Competitive premature rusting For less downtime and longer life, Krause uses hydraulic cylinders with Royal Plate Plus Cylinder Rods. Royal Plate Plus has a nickel undercoating with a hard chrome topcoat to provide far superior corrosion and rust prevention. Competitive models use lower-quality cylinders with just a single layer of hard chrome coating so it s prone to premature rusting. Hydraulic Leveling Royal Plate Plus Cylinder Rods The helpful Tractor Interface Center prevents hydraulic hose damage in tight turns and adds operator convenience and safety by swinging out of the way when hitching to the tractor. It also offers handy storage for the owners manual, hoses and light plug. With color-coded hose end grips and hose routing chart, you won t lose time because your connections will be correct the first time around! The handy locks for transport and wings are located here as well. Single-Point Depth Control Rear Hitch The optional rear hitch has an extendible tongue to make it easier for one person to connect the disc to towed implements. Wing Wheels Walking tandems smooth out rough fields to work at a consistent depth across the full width. In transport, the walking tandems evenly distribute weight for smoother roading. Walking tandems with heavy-duty 8-bolt hubs and 12.5Lx15 FI rated tires are standard equipment on the center section of all 8200 and 8300 Series disc harrows. Quad-Fold models feature standard walking tandems equipped with 6-bolt hubs and 10.00x15 8-ply on the wings. The 31 and 34-foot 8200 Series models come with dual wheels, 6-bolt hubs and 10.00x15 8-ply tires as standard equipment on the wing section. Wing walking tandems are optional. Conveniently fine-tune performance from field to field with optional hydraulic leveling. Enjoy the ease of making front to rear field-leveling adjustments without leaving the tractor cab. Adjust working depth across the entire disc from a single location with just one convenient crank at the front of the disc. Fine-tune depth using the indicator decal five turns changes operating depth by one inch. Return to the same depth after each pass or change depth in the field in a matter of seconds. Wing wheels feature a forward action that rotate close to the front gangs for precise depth control and reduced gouging in terraced or rolling fields. This Krause design advantage limits the need for optional front gauge wheels that are necessary on others with wheel placement much farther from the front gang. Standard dual wheels on the 8200/8300 mean smoother depth control. Walking beams are also available. Optional on the center and wings of the 7300 Series disc harrows, walking tandems provide more-precise depth control and more stable discing, especially at higher field speeds. The durable design of mounting the massive L shaped wing rocker shafts to both the inner and outer front to rear frame beams puts competitive outer-mount-only designs to shame. Krause walking tandems easily handle the stresses created by out of ground field turns. Transport & Harrows 24/7 Leveling System (8200 and 8300 Series) Quad-Fold An exclusive double-fold system called the Quad-Fold on certain models offers significantly lower transport height of just 13'5". Quad-Fold not only makes transport safer, it also allows you to match high-horsepower 4WD and track tractors to wider, more productive disc harrows. The Krause Quad-Fold design features a rigid center section with a folding inner and outer wing. The outer wing hydraulically locks to the inner wing in field use to create a 3-section disc with even weight distribution. Quad-Fold models include the 36- and 38-foot 8200 and the 37-foot 8300 Series. No longer limited to smaller disc harrows with lower transport dimensions, owners of high-horsepower tractors can now up-size to a larger disc harrow thanks to the Quad-Fold design from Krause. If you are running enough horsepower to pull a wider disc harrow but don t due to concerns over transport dimensions, you are losing productivity that can really add up to a loss of profitability as well. Popular and proven as industry icons on the Landsman / Landstar combination finishers and 5635 Series field cultivators, the 24/7 Leveling System is available on the 8200 and 8300 Series tandem disc harrows. The integral harrow mount results in added strength by distributing the load through the mainframe instead of the gang beams. 3-Bar Spike Option For excellent clod sizing in low to moderate residue conditions, the 3-bar spike harrow is an efficient option for a level seedbed thanks to rugged 3/4" square spikes for long wear that are 10 inches long with 1-1/2" effective spacing. 3-Row Coil Tine Option Soil Conditioning Reel Option The first of its kind for disc harrows, the parallel link leveling system features superior residue flow and even distribution. Increase yield potential and improve residue management, even in high-residue conditions. With rugged 7/16" diameter tines for long wear that are 16 inches long for handling high volumes of residue, the Krause harrow ensures smoother residue distribution and better chemical incorporation. For maximum clod sizing, leveling and firming of the soil surface, two reel-only options are available. Round spiral rods are typically used in loam type soilds while flat spiral blades are used in high clay soils. Adjustable Performance LED Lighting Now standard equipment on all Krause products, a high visibility LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting package is an industry-first on disc harrows! Compared to incandescent bulbs, LED lights are superior on several levels. Not only does LED lighting provide better visibility that improves driver reaction time, it also uses solid-state construction with no filament to burn out and offers a 100,000-hour life expectancy. What s more, LED lights can sustain damage to some of their diodes and still provide light. 8 Krause Disc Harrows A fast, wrench-free adjustment for tine angle (15, 30, 45 degrees) lets you customize the setting for your desired agronomic performance in varying field conditions. The 15-degree position permits high-residue operation, even in fall primary conditions.
