: The Category Stainless Steel products are used by Hospitals in areas and applications where sterile environment or a high degree of hygiene is required. The Operating Room is one such area, as well as the Critical / Intensive Care Units. Peripheral products to support the Operation include Trolleys to carry surgical instruments and supplies to and from the OR, Trolleys to contain instruments during the surgery /operation, Containers to hold medical waste generated during Operation, and Trolleys to carry medicine to Patients in ICUs post operation. The risk of contamination of these surgical instruments / spread of infection is unacceptable, since it could prove fatal for the patient. Hence these products necessarily need to be maintained as bacteria-free and hygienic as possible. The level of hygiene required in this application is possible by cleaning with powerful chemical agents and disinfectants, which on prolonged use would corrode most materials. Therefore, these products are widely manufactured in Stainless Steel. Grade 304 is preferred, while Grade 202 may also be used in select components.
