1. PREAMBLE The Rosenbauer Air Crash Rescue and Fire Fighting Vehicle hereafter referred as to ARFF has been designed for effective fire fighting in high fire risk areas, like Airports and its vicinity. The ARFF design includes extinguishing agent water, foam compound and dry powder and can operate from its own tank supply, fire hydrant or open water sources. All components of this vehicle are made of approved products, steadily improved and developed which guarantee reliable, long-lasting performance and safe operation. It can also operate in desert terrain at high ambient temperature as well as salt laden, high humidity atmosphere. The all-wheel drive capability and the differential locks in the rear axles, provide excellent cross-country performance. The engineering & construction of our products are conducted by procedures following the IQNet Certificate of Quality Management System ISO 9001 (Registration Number: AT-143/0) and also OQS Certificate of Quality Management System complying with the requirements of standard ISO 9001:1994 (Registration No.: 143/0). In addition, Rosenbauer International AG has also been certified according to the OQS Certificate of Environmental Management System complying with the requirements of standard ISO 14001:1996 (Registration No.: 028/0). 2. WATER TANK Capacity: Design: Material: Tank manifolds: 4.800 litres volume The water tank is flexible mounted onto the subframe by means of rubber cone bearings with screw spring support, and is therefore suitable for even roughest cross-country operation. Glass fibre re-inforced plastic material (GRP) - Inspection manhole 450 mm inside diameter. - Pressure and vacuum release. - Overflow system with spilling prevention. - Tank drain with 1" ball type valve. - Electric tank level indicator "Fludometer". - Baffle plates & anti-swirl plate or a suitable sump. One hydrant filling inlet is provided on the R/H and L/H side of the vehicle complete with nonreturn valve and removable strainer and manually actuated butterfly valve ND 65 mm and fix and blind coupling 2 ½. All connections and pipes are dimensioned so as to meet all flow requirements and fitted with easily accessible drain valves. 6. FOAM COMPOUND TANK Capacity: Location: Design: Material: Tank manifolds: 600 litres volume Integrated in the water tank. Suitable for transport and storage of all known brands of synthetic and protein based foam compounds including AFFF and FFFP. Same as water tank - Inspection manhole 450 mm inside diameter. - Pressure and vacuum release. - Electric tank level indicator "Fludometer". - If required, a baffle plate will be mounted in the tank's interior to prevent a rolling motion of the contents. One foam tank filling inlet, with Storz-38 mm coupling and blank coupling; filling will be done by means of a foam compound decanting pump. It can be used also as lateral foam suction inlet from barrels or drums as well as flushing for the foam proportioning system, by means of a 38 mm hard suction hose. All pipes used for water & foam tank are made of hot galvanized steel or plastic or rubber hoses, whatever is the best for the relevant purpose, selected by us. Specification 7 / 14 Division

7. CENTRIFUGAL FIRE (WATER) PUMP Make/Model: Output: Location: Material: Sealing: Drive: Manifolds: Pipework: Rosenbauer / N40 one-stage centrifugal fire pump 4.000 l/min at 10 bar - at tank suction operation. Rear mounted behind the water/foam tank (in the rear of vehicle) Housing, impellers and diffuser are made of corrosion resistant light alloy. Shaft is made of high grade stainless steel. Mechanical sealing is used By the vehicle's engine via engine dependent PTO Suction line to the tank, with ND 150mm butterfly valve, manually closed for service activities, otherwise it is always open. One (1) rear facing suction inlet, for connection of 5 suction hoses, with 5 NS fix coupling, mesh and blind cap made of light alloy material. Suction inlet for foam compound, with Storz-38 brass fix coupling and blind cap. The suction inlet also serves as inlet for flushing the foam system with fresh water. Two (2) pressure outlet on each side, ND 65mm c/w butterfly valve, manually operated with screw down valve and NH 2 ½ fix and blind coupling (cap) made of light alloy Two (2) outlets, each one connected to a first aid hose reel mounted on left & right side with 38mm ball valve, manually actuated and pre-connected 30m rigid hose (inside dia. 25mm) usable for operating pressure up to 16 bar. -. OPTION, only at extra costs One (1) connecting pipe for RM25E monitor with electro-pneumatically operated butterfly valve. One (1) connecting pipe for under truck nozzles with electro-pneumatically operated ball.. -. OPTION, only at extra costs Pressure hoses:6 nos.: collapsible pressure hoses (63mm) 2 1/2" NH coupling made of aluminium are stored adjasent to the side pressure outlets. Water pipework is made of steel, hot dip galvanised, foam compound pipework is made of plastic material (Polypropylene) Pipe/valve sizes are designed to produce a minimum of friction loss when operating the system. 7.1 Priming Unit: Rosenbauer; reciprocating, automatic double piston priming pump with electromagnetic clutch is driven by means of a tooth belt and automatically controlled. It is easy to reach and replace. Directly joined on top of the pump lantern or gear box whatever is required. Suction lift: 3,0 m within 7 sec. (in compliance with DIN-standards). Maximum suction lift: up to 9 m (attainable vaccuum 90%). Control Panel located in the pump compartment at the rear center consisting of : - Auxiliary throttle control for drive engine - Manometer calibrated from 0 25 bar - Manovacuummeter 1 bar up to 10 bar - Water tank and Foam tank level gauge "Fludometer" - Pilot light for "pump engaged" - Pilot light for foam operation - Pilot warning light for low engine oil pressure - Pilot warning light for engine's coolant - Pump hour meter - Illumination of control panel - Switch for air operated butterfly valve for water tank suction line - Switch for air operated ball valve for foam tank suction * - Selector switch for pre-setting of foam admixing rate - Switch for air operated ball valve for water tank filling from pump Lettering: In English language where pictograms (sign) do not serve the purpose. 8. FOAM PROPORTIONING SYSTEM "FIX-MIX", MODEL NP Design: This automatic "Around-the-Pump" type foam proportioner makes it possible to induct foam compound to the water at the correct proportioning ratio, independent of pump pressure and/or discharge. This system works in both the high and normal pressure range of the pump. After the pump has been engaged, only the foam system has to be switched on, and the correct percentage of foam compound will be admixed automatically. Material: Metering and proportioning valve in the proportioning unit are made of gun-metal. Advantages: * Since the admixing of foam compound does not have to be done manually, there is no waste of foam compound. Specification 9 / 14 Division

* The foam proportioning system "FIX MIX" is suited for all protein and Fluorprotein based foam compounds, as well as for synthetic foam compounds, including AFFF. * The automatic foam proportioning is done with low pressure loss and operates within the pump output range of 100 l/min and maximum pump output, as well as at a pump pressure between 5 bar and maximum pump pressure. The rate of admixing can be adjusted at 3% or 6%. 9. FOAM/WATER MONITOR RM 25 E Make: Type: Location: Control: Emergency control: Rosenbauer RM 25 E, with O-stream nozzle, without barrel. On the cab's roof. Electronic remote control from inside the cabin, by a single hand "slave type" pistol shape joy-stick, which will always indicate the direction of the monitor. In case of electric failure, the monitor can be operated manually from the roof of the vehicle, by a worm gear control. Operation ranges: Foam straight stream throw: 55 m Water straight stream throw: 60 m Foam dispersed pattern 11 m wide Water dispersed pattern 11 m wide O-stream nozzle: Output: Output reduction: For producing a dispersed pattern or a full stream, with continuous adjustment. Control from inside the cabin. 2.400 l/min at 10 bar If desired, the output can be reduced to 50%, simply by actuating a control on the monitor control panel in the cabin. In this case, the monitor throw will be reduced by at least 10 metres. Expansion: Foam expansion will be between 1:3 and 1:6, depending on type of foam compound used. Rotation: Elevation: Depression: 270 degrees 0-70 degrees From zero to maximum minus 15 degrees. Due to the special shape of the cab and the contours of the Specification 10 / 14 Division

working deck, the depression angle may be smaller when measured over the rotating beacons, ladder fixtures, etc. The monitor movements are automatically controlled in such a way, that vehicle mounted obstacles like rotating beacons, ladder fixtures etc. will not be hit by the monitor. Searchlight: Casing: In order to facilitate night operations, a monitor mounted searchlight is provided. For extra protection, the monitor body is fitted with a glass fibre reinforced polyester casing. 10. QUICK ATTACK HOSE REELS OPTION, only at extra costs Two (2) hose reels, one (1) on each side with electric rewind facility and manually actuated ball valve is mounted complete with 30 m pre-connected rigid rubber hose (inside diameter 25 mm) and Rosenbauer jet / spray nozzle NEPIRO with foam tube. Discharge rate: 175 lpm at 10bar Throw distance: approx. 15 m Location: Left and right below water tank for better access 11. DRY CHEMICAL POWDER EXTINGUISHING UNIT Model: P 135 Location: In the front storage locker Design: One dry powder vessel (operating pressure 14 bar) holding 135 kg of "ABC" type dry chemical powder model "Euro Troxin suitable and approved for the following fire classes: Class A: Fires involving common combustibles such as wood, grass, paper, plastics and rubber. Class B: Fires involving flammable liquids such as kerosene, diesel fuel, oil and petrol. Class C: Fires involving flammable gasses like LPG, Natural gas, and acetylene. (Class E): This is not a class of fire per se but is used to refer to electrical fires. Working pressure: Painting: Standards: Control panel: Inert Gas: Hoses: The dry chemical powder container is laid out for an operational pressure of 12 to 13 bar and all safety valves are set to blow off at 14 bar. The dry powder container, as well as the relevant pipework, is painted in the same colour as the main colour of the vehicle. The dry chemical powder container is made in accordance with the prevailing German standards for design and manufacturing of pressure vessels "AD- Merkblätter" B 0, 1, 3 and W 1. All materials used are as per DIN standards. The manufacturing process is under supervision of the German TÜV (Federal Technical Supervision Agency) and a copy of the test certificates will be delivered with the powder unit. Mounted on the left hand side of the dry powder container, and provided with all necessary controls and gauges. Panel illuminated and lettered in English. The panel comprises: Lever for pressurising the powder container Lever for powder discharge left hand hose Lever for powder discharge right hand hose Control for flushing the left hand hose Control for flushing the right hand hose Control for depressurising the powder container Pressure gauge for powder container Pressure gauge for nitrogen cylinder, with a ball type valve fitted directly after the gauge to prevent the filling of the container during testing. One 25 litres capacity nitrogen cylinder, filled at a pressure of 150 bar, serves as expelling gas for the drychemical powder. The filling pressure is related to a temperature of 15 degrees Centigrade. Testing pressure of the cylinders is 300 bar. The nitrogen used is 99% pure, with a maximum steam content of 30 ppm. The cylinder is painted black (RAL 9005) as per EN1089-3:1997, and clearly marked "NITROGEN" in English. Pressurising time of the powder container will be approx. 12-15 seconds. Two collapsible powder hoses, each 30 m long, 38 mm internal diameter, provided with light alloy Storz-C type couplings with safety pins. The hoses are stored in a box, which allow for fast deployment. The end of each hose is fitted with a trigger operated powder nozzle, output 5 kg/sec. Throw range at still air is approx. 8 metres. 13. BODYWORK IN GENERAL Manufacturer: Rosenbauer General Design: Pump compartment, locker compartment and water / foam tank are mounted on the sub-frame. This subframe itself is fix mounted onto the chassis frame. Provision is made for all major vehicle components to be removed in an easy way. For this purpose, lifting eyes are provided, wherever feasible. This ensures that removal and replacement do not entail unacceptable down time. Hand rails are fixed on the roof and adjacent to all exit doors and steps to provide safe and easy access to / into the vehicle. Mud guards: Made of a combination of glass fibre reinforced polyester and light alloy. Provided with rubber mud flaps. 13.1 PUMP COMPARTMENT Rear mounted behind the water / foam tank; made of light alloy material. It is closed by means of lockable light alloy roller shutters on both sides. All profiles are embedded in a special type of plastic material to reduce the noise. An automatic switch ensures immediate illumination of the respective locker opening. Roof of this compartment is painted with anti skid paint. The middle part of rear wall is covered with an easy removable door plate in order to provide easy access from the rear end into the compartment for service and maintenance work. Two steps are mounted underneath the compartment to provide easy access into the pump compartment for service and maintenance. A rear access ladder above level ground, made of light alloy is mounted on the rear wall (R/H side) of the pump compartment and provides access to the working deck. 13.2 LOCKER COMPARTMENT Mid mounted behind the cabin; made of light alloy material. It is closed by means of lockable light alloy roller shutter on both sides. All profiles are embedded in a special type of plastic material to reduce the noise. ELECTRICAL AND COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT Traffic Illumination: Rotating beacons: Speaker: P.A. system: VHF Radio: Siren: In complianc with national highway codes, comprising head lights, brake / stop lights, trafficators, back-up light, 2 fog lights, reverse light and reverse warning signal and licence and plate illumination. Automatic illumination is provided when opening any door, or roller shutter. 2 red rotating beacons are mounted and installed on the cabin roof A 100 Watt loudspeaker serves for transmission of the siren signals and is also part of the Public Address system. Integrated Public Address system, complete with a cabin mounted hand microphone and external loudspeaker. OPTION, only at extra costs Model PA 300 "WAIL - YELP". This siren is an advanced, efficient, full-featured electronic siren. The PA 300 is protected against all failure modes by a fuse that is replaceable without tools. 15. SUPERSTRUCTURE FINISHING Painting / Cabin: Fire Red - RAL 3000 Frame: RAL 9005 black Rims: RAL 9005 black Bumpers: RLA 9010 white Corrosion Protection: Corrosion protection will be provided according to Rosenbauer ISO 9001 standard, wherever this is required. Tire pressure lettering: above the wheels, in bar. Logo: in simple white letters as per client's specifications. 16. DOCUMENTATION, SPARE PARTS, WARRANTY 2 sets of technical documentation like operation, maintenance and repair manuals for chassis, fire fighting systems will be provided in English language. A warranty period of 12 months for the complete vehicle is confirmed. We also guarantee the supply of spare parts for a period of more than 10 years after warranty expiry date. 17. SPECIAL TOOLS Special tools are not required and the standard tool set is supplied free of charge. Specification 14 / 14 Division
