A. There is established a loading zone on each side of Charles Street in the town of Mariposa, county of Mariposa, state of California, commencing at a point ninety (90) feet south of Sixth Street and extending thirty (30) feet southerly therefrom. B. During the hours between ten (10:00) a.m. and two (2:00) p.m. daily, except Sunday, parking in the zone described in Subsection A of this section shall be limited for the purpose of loading and unloading vehicles. (Ord. 457 Sec.5, 1977). 10.08.020 Stopping, parking, or standing prohibited where. No person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, in any of the following places: T10-3 ( CC 6/ 14)

10. 08. 020 cont. A. Within fifteen (15) feet of the entrance to any theater; B. On Charles Street in the town of Mariposa, within fifteen (15) feet either side of a point one hundred thirty-five (135) feet southerly from the curbs at the corner of Sixth and Charles Streets, except for the purpose of loading or unloading freight. This limitation shall apply only between the hours of eight (8:00) a.m. and six (6:00) p.m. and does not apply on Sundays or holidays. C. On either side of Fifth Street west of Highway 140. This limitation shall apply twenty-four (24) hours a days, seven (7) days a week; except there is established a loading zone on the north side of Fifth Street commencing at a point twenty-five (25) feet west of Highway 140 and extending westerly therefrom. Parking shall be permitted in this zone for the purpose of loading and unloading vehicles only. D. Thirty-two (32) feet south from the curbline of Sixth Street on both sides of Charles Street; and twenty-four (24) feet north from the curbline of Fifth Street on both sides of Charles Street; and thirty-two (32) feet south of the curbline of Fifth Street on the west side of Charles Street. E. i) On Greeley Hill Road two hundred (200) feet on both sides of Greeley Hill Road in a westerly direction from the east end of the bridge crossing the North Fork of the Merced River. (Ord. 661 Sec.1, 1986). ii) On Greeley Hill Road two hundred (200) feet on both sides of Greeley Hill Road in a westerly direction from the west end of the bridge crossing the North Fork of the Merced River. Commencing at the easterly line of Cemetery Street with the westerly line from Greeley Hill Road; thence northeasterly along the westerly line from Greeley Hill Road one hundred forty (140) feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing along said westerly line, ninety-one (91) feet. On Jones Street commencing at the projected northwesterly line of Seventh Street and the northwesterly line of Jones Street; thence northwesterly along the northeasterly line of Jones Street, two hundred seventy (270) feet. Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of Jones Street and the northerly line of Thirteenth Street; thence easterly along the northerly line of Thirteenth Street for a distance of two hundred (200) feet. The westerly side of Old Highway from the intersection of the westerly line of Old Highway with the southerly line of Ninth Street; thence, southerly along the westerly line Old Highway to the most eastern corner of Block 36. (Ord. 733 Sec.1, 1988). J. On Fairgrounds Road, beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of State Highway 49 with the southerly line of Fairgrounds Road; thence easterly, along the southerly line of Fairgrounds Road, a distance of three hundred and sixty (360) feet. (Ord. 779 Sec.1, 1990). K. On Fairgrounds Road, beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of State Highway 49 with the northerly line of Fairgrounds Road; thence easterly, along the northerly line of Fairgrounds Road, a distance of one thousand and seventy-five (1075) feet to the end of the county maintained portion of the road. On Bullion Street, commencing at a point on the southwesterly line of Bullion Street one hundred and nineteen feet (119) southeasterly from the southeasterly line of Tenth Street; thence southeasterly along said southwesterly line of Bullion Street forty (40) feet. (Ord. 896 Sec.I, 1996). M. On Merced Street, beginning at the intersection of the northwesterly line of Water Street with the northerly line of Merced Street; thence westerly along the northerly line of Merced Street, a distance of one hundred (100) feet. (Ord. 927 Sec.I, 1997). N. The no parking zone will commence at the beginning of Whitmore Drive. The sign is to be placed at point 43 feet southerly of the southwest corner of State Highway 49 South and Whitmore Drive. (Ord. 1013 Sec.I, 2004). O. The no parking zone will commence at the beginning of Hidalgo Street at the corner of Banderilla Drive. The signs are to be placed at points 400 feet from the corner of Banderilla Drive on the south side of Hidalgo Street. (Ord. 1044 Sec.I, 2008). P. On the northwest side of Eight Street between Bullion Street and Highway 140. (Ord. 1099 Sec.I, 2013). Q. On both sides of Trabucco Street from its intersection with Mariposa Street and extending 200 feet northwesterly. (Ord. 1105 Sec.I, 2014). 10.08.030 Motor vehicle parking regulations applicability. The following motor vehicle parking regulations and restrictions shall apply to the following streets and roads in the town of Mariposa: A. On Fifth Street between Charles street and Bullion Street, parallel parking shall be permitted on the north side, T10-4a ( CC 6/ 14)

On Sixth Street between Charles Street and the Mariposa Creek Bridge, right angle parking shall be permitted on the south side, and no parking shall be permitted on the north side. C. On Sixth Street between Charles Street and Bullion Street, diagonal parking shall be permitted on the north side except that motor vehicles may be parked primarily on privately owned property on the north side, provided no part of any parked vehicle shall extend onto or across or into the portion of Sixth Street normally used for motor vehicular travel. D. On Seventh Street between Charles and Bullion Streets, diagonal motor vehicle parking shall be permitted on the north side immediately adjacent to the Sierra Stationers property only. E. On Sixth Street from the intersection of Mariposa Street and Sixth Street extending from said intersection one hundred twenty-five (125) feet southwest, no parking shall be allowed on the northwest side of Sixth Street. F. There shall be no parking on the southwest side of Seventh Street from the curbline of Charles Street for a distance of one hundred fifty-five (155) feet towards Bullion Street. G. On the southwest side of Charles Street a distance of thirty-two (32) feet from the curbline of Sixth Street for a distance of twenty-two (22) feet there shall be a bus loading zone for the use of the Mariposa county senior citizens bus. H. On Mariposa Street from the intersection with Sixth Street extending southeasterly to the intersection of the easement road known as Trabucco Street, no parking shall be allowed on the northeast side of Mariposa Street. There shall be no parking on the southeasterly side of Eighth Street; beginning at the intersection of Jones Street and Eighth Street, and extending northeasterly approximately three hundred (300) feet to the westerly edge of the Mariposa county high school parking area. (Ord. 630 Sec.1, 1984). J. Angle parking shall be allowed in the following locations in the county: 1. Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of Bullion Street with the northerly line of Tenth Street; thence along said northerly line of Tenth Street easterly, one hundred (100) feet. 2. Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Ninth Street with the westerly line of Bullion Street, northerly to the southerly line of Tenth Street. 3. Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Twelfth Street with the westerly line of Jessie Street; thence along said westerly line of Jessie Street, northerly, one hundred forth-five (145) feet. Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Ninth Street with the easterly line of Bullion Street; thence along said easterly line of Bullion Street, southerly, seventy-five (75) feet. 5. Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Sixth Street with the westerly line of Bullion Street; thence along said westerly line of Bullion Street, southerly, eighty-five (85) feet. 6. Commencing at the intersection of the easterly line of Jones Street with the northerly line of Sixth Street; thence along said northerly line of Sixth Street, easterly, forty-two (42) feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing along said northerly line, three hundred ninety-five (395) feet. 7. Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of State Highway 140 with the northerly line of Fourth Street; thence along said northerly line of Fourth Street, easterly, forty-five (45) feet. 8. Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of Charles Street with the northerly line of Eleventh Street; thence along said northerly line of Eleventh Street, easterly, one hundred four (104) feet. (Ord. 655 Sec.1, 1986). 9. The entire northeasterly side of Charles Street between Eleventh Street and Twelfth Street in the township of Mariposa. (Ord. 683 Sec.1, 1987). 10. Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of Bullion Street with the southerly line of Eleventh Street; thence along said southerly line of Eleventh Street, easterly 70 feet. (Ord. 844 Sec.1, 1992). 11. On Bullion Street, commencing at a point on the southwesterly line of Bullion Street thirty-eight (38) feet southeasterly from the southeasterly line of Tenth Street; thence southeasterly along said southwesterly line of Bullion Street eighty-one (81) feet: angle parking permitted. (Ord. 897 Sec.I, 1996). 10.08.031 Camping and overnight parking. It shall be unlawful to camp or park unauthorized private vehicles overnight in or upon any county owned or managed property except in designated campgrounds. (Ord. 1101 Sec.I, 2013; Ord. 664 Sec.1, 1986; Ord. 598 Sec.7, 1983). 10.08.040 Additional parking and loading regulations. On Sixth Street between Charles Street and the Mariposa Creek Bridge parking on the north side thereof is prohibited; parallel parking only is permitted on the south side thereof between Mariposa Creek Bridge and a line parallel with the T10-6 ( CC 6/ 14)

10. 08. 050- -10. 08. 051 situated sixty-nine (69) feet west of the westerly line of Charles Street (State Route 140 sign); a loading zone, to be used by commercial vehicles only while loading or unloading merchandise and while parked parallel with the southerly line of Sixth Street as close thereto as reasonably possible, is established on the south side of Sixth Street between the westerly line of Charles Street (State Route 140 sign) and a line sixty-nine (69) feet west of and parallel with said westerly line of Charles Street. Parallel parking permitted only in designated spaces beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Twelfth Street with the easterly line of Jessie Street; thence along said easterly line of Jessie Street, northerly, ninety-four (94) feet. (Ord. 857 Sec.I, 1993; Ord. 457 Sec.8, 1977). 10.08.050 Parking on Eighth Street and Bullion Street. A. On Eighth Street between Jones and Bullion Streets diagonal parking shall be permitted on the north side of privately owned property for not over five (5) motor vehicles at any one (1) time, between a point thirty (30) feet east of the southwest block corner of Block 35 of the town of Mariposa and a point one hundred six and five-tenths (106.5) feet east of said southwest block corner, except for six (6) feet at the sidewalk entrance to the front of the post office building, provided that no part of any vehicle so parked shall extend onto or across or into the portion of Eighth Street normally used for vehicular traffic. No parking shall be permitted at any time between a point one hundred six and five-tenths (106.5) feet east of said southwest block corner and the intersection of Eighth and Jones Streets on the north side of Eighth Street, and no parking shall be permitted at any time on the south side of Eighth Street between Jones and Bullion Street. B. On Bullion Street between the southwest block corner of Block 35 of the town of Mariposa and a point one hundred twenty-six (126) feet north of said block corner, no parking shall be permitted on either side of the easterly half of Bullion Street presently used for vehicular travel. (Ord. 457 Sec.9, 1977). 10.08.051 Handicapped parking areas. The following public parking areas are designated as handicapped parking, for the exclusive use of persons bearing an authorized handicapped sign, license plate, or sticker on their vehicle: A. On the southwest side of Jones Street between Ninth Street and Tenth Street, the parking space on each side of the T10-7 ( CC 6/ 14)

10. 08. 052- -10. 08. 060 walkway entering the courthouse from Jones Street and immediately adjacent thereto--two (2) spaces. B. Designated handicapped parking spaces within parking district no. 1 as described in section 10.16.030. C. On Sixth Street at the intersection of Highway 140, the first stall on the southeast side in each direction from the intersection, being two (2) stalls, one (1) northeast of the intersection and one (1) southwest of the intersection. (Ord. 598 Sec.4, 1983). D. On the west side of Highway 140 approximately one hundred twenty-five (125) feet north of the intersection of Highway 140 and Coakley Circle--one (1) space. (Ord. 657 Sec.1, 1986). 10.08.052 Courthouse parking. The following regulations shall govern parking adjacent to the Mariposa county courthouse: A. On the southeast side of Tenth Street between Bullion Street and Jones Street, public parking shall be permitted in diagonal stalls only. B. On the southwest side of Jones Street between Ninth Street and Tenth Street, parking is prohibited within fifteen (15) feet of the fire hydrant located near the Jones Street entrance to the courthouse. C. On the southwest side of Jones Street between Ninth Street and Tenth Street, parking is prohibited in the two (2) stalls reserved for police parking only, one (1) located as the second stall northwest of the walkway entering the courthouse from Jones Street, and the other as the first stall southeast of the fire hydrant zone. (Ord. 598 Sec.5, 1983). 10.08.053 Parking in the Yosemite West Maintenance District. It is unlawful to park any vehicle on the streets and roadways of the Yosemite West Maintenance District in such a manner as to interfere with, obstruct or delay snow-plow operations. (Ord. 598 Sec.6, 1983). 10.08.060 Parking on Fifth, Sixth, or Seventh Streets. It is unlawful for any firm, person, or corporation to park or stop a vehicle or cause the same to be parked or stopped, for a period in excess of two (2) hours between the hours of nine (9:00) a.m. and five (5:00) p.m., Sundays and holidays excepted, on Fifth, Sixth, or Seventh Streets between the east curbline of State Route 140 and the west curbline of Bullion Street in the town of Mariposa. 10. 08. 061- -10. 08. 070 10.08.061 Parking on Incline Road. A. On Incline Road parking in the turnout areas thereof is prohibited. The Mariposa county road commissioner is authorized to post in conspicuous places along said road signs which will adequately notify the public of the no parking regulations imposed thereon under this section. B. The Mariposa county road commissioner is authorized and directed to post in conspicuous places along Incline Road in Yosemite West Maintenance District signs which will adequately notify the public of NARROW ROAD - SLOW, SCHOOL BUS STOP, and WATCH FOR RANGE ANIMALS. (Ord. 482 Sec.1, 1978; Ord. 457 Secs.17 & 18, 1977). 10.08.062 Parking regulations in Coulterville. The following motor vehicle parking regulations and restrictions shall apply to the following streets, roads and property in the town of Coulterville: A. In the west side of Merced Street, from the intersection of Highway 49 and J20, southeasterly to the north corner of the county bridge crossing Maxwell Creek in the town of Coulterville, no parking shall be permitted at any time. B. On county property fronting on the north side of Maxwell Creek between the Water Street Bridge and the Caltrans Bridge on Highway 49, parking shall be permitted only between the hours of eight (8:00) a.m. and eight (8:00) p.m. and no overnight camping shall be permitted. (Ord. 454 Sec.2, 1980). C. No person shall park or leave standing any commercial vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than three quarter (3/4) ton, whether attended or unattended on Park Lane, formerly known as Centre Street. (Ord. 833 Sec.I, 1992). 10.08.063 Parking regulations at the Mariposa roadside rest area. (Rescinded). (Ord. 1057 Sec.I, 2009). 10.08.070 Bus loading zone. A. There is established a bus loading zone on the north side of Tenth Street in the town of Mariposa, county of Mariposa, state of California, commencing twenty (20) feet from the intersection of Highway 140 and Tenth Street running westerly for sixty (60) feet to Jessie Street. B. There is an established bus loading zone on the easterly side of Charles Street in the town of Mariposa, county of Mariposa, state of California, commencing at the intersection of the easterly line of Charles Street with the northerly line of Seventh Street, thence northerly along said easterly line of Charles Street fifty (50) feet. 10. 08. 075- -10. 08. 090 C. There is an established bus loading zone on the easterly side of Charles Street in the town of Mariposa, county of Mariposa, state of California, commencing at the intersection of the westerly line of Charles Street with the northerly line of Seventh Street, thence northerly along said westerly line of Charles Street one hundred and three (103) feet. D. The zones described in subsections A, B, and C shall be for the loading and unloading of passengers only. (Ord. 1096 Sec.I, 2013; Ord. 1095 Sec.I, 2013; Ord. 457 Sec.11, 1977). 10.08.075 Horse carriage parking zone. A. There is hereby established a horse carriage parking zone located in the town of Mariposa, county of Mariposa, state of California, on Highway 140/49, commencing at a point on the westerly line of Charles Street 32 feet southerly from the southerly curb line of Sixth Street westerly line of Charles Street 46.5 feet. B. During the hours between 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday through the months of April and May, and September and October of each year, parking in the zone described in Subsection A of this section shall be limited for the purpose of horse carriage parking, loading and unloading only. C. During the hours between 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. daily commencing on Memorial Day and extending through Labor Day of each year parking in the zone described in Subsection A of this section shall be limited for the purpose of horse carriage parking, loading and unloading only. D. The Mariposa public works department shall place appropriate signs indicating the restricted parking, loading and unloading, in order to appropriately notify the public of the parking restrictions. (Ord. 880 Sec.1, 1994). 10.08.080 Tractor and trailer combinations--restrictions. It is unlawful for truck and trailer combinations or tractor and trailer combinations exceeding forty (40) feet in length to travel on the Mariposa County highway known as Boneyard Road. (Ord. 457 Sec.12, 1977). 10.08.090 Marking of parking spaces on roads. The Mariposa county road commissioner is authorized and directed to immediately determine and mark on the road surface of the streets and roads mentioned in this chapter the number and positions of diagonal and right-angle parking spaces T10-9a ( CC 6/ 14)

10. 08. 100- -10. 08. 110 permitted under this chapter, and to post in conspicuous places along said streets and roads signs which will adequately notify the public of the parking regulations imposed thereon under this chapter. (Ord. 457 Sec.14, 1977). 10.08.100 Removal of vehicle not lawfully parked. The Mariposa county road commissioner or any duly authorized peace officer may remove or cause to be removed any vehicle parked on the streets and road mentioned in this chapter in violation of the terms of this chapter and store the vehicle, or cause it to be stored at the expense of the owner or operator thereof, whenever the road commissioner or duly authorized peace officer finds that such vehicle so parked will constitute a serious traffic hazard. Towing and storage charges will be imposed by the firm or person who tows or stores such vehicle. (Ord. 457 Sec.15, 1977). 10.08.110 Snow removal--parking restricted. A. The purpose of this section is to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare by prohibiting parking of vehicles on public highways, roads and streets in certain areas of the county to permit effective and speedy removal of snow by the county road department and the department of transportation or other persons engaged, hired, contracted or otherwise authorized to remove snow from public highways. B. In the areas of the county above the elevation of twenty-five hundred (2500) feet, no person shall park any vehicle on a county-owned public road, highway, or right-of-way, which is posted with signs stating that no person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle within the areas marked by the signs, during the period for which the road commissioner has declared a snow removal condition exists. 1. In addition to citations powers, any peace officer specified in section 22651 of the California Vehicle Code may remove or cause to be removed a vehicle in violation of this section at the expense of the registered owner. 2. For purposes of this section, park or parking means the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaging in loading and unloading of merchandise or passengers. C. Whenever any officer, as defined in section 22651 of the California Vehicle Code, finds a vehicle standing upon a highway in violation of subsection B, of this section, the officer may move the vehicle or require the driver or other person in charge of the vehicle to move it, or may remove and store the vehicle at the expense of the registered owner. 10. 08. 120- -10. 08. 130 D. No person shall throw or deposit or cause to be thrown or deposited upon highway any snow or ice in an amount or manner likely to constitute a hazard to vehicular traffic. (Ord. 656 Sec.2, 1986). 10.08.120 One-way street. A. The entirety of Charles Street from Twelfth Street to Eleventh Street in the township of Mariposa shall be a one-way street with traffic allowed to travel in a southeasterly direction only. (Ord. 682 Sec.1 (part), 1987). B. The portion of Twelfth Street from State Highway 140 to Jessie Street in the township of Mariposa shall be a one-way street with traffic allowed to travel in a southerly direction only. (Ord. 858 Sec.I, 1993). C. The northern end of upper Bullion Street from Ninth Street to Eighth Street in the township of Mariposa shall be a one-way street with traffic allowed to travel in a southerly direction only, excepting the most southerly sixty feet adjacent to Eighth Street which shall be two-way. (Ord. 923, Sec.I, 1997; Ord. 916 Sec.I, 1997). 10.08.130 Long-term vehicle parking-mariposa/yosemite Airport. Long-term vehicle parking shall be allowed at the Mariposa/Yosemite airport in the area described as follows: A tract of land situated in projected section 7.T.5. S., R.18E., M.D.B.&M., Rancho Las Mariposas, county of Mariposa, state of California being described as follows: Commencing at California State Highway 49, running between Mariposa and Mount Bullion, station number 194 + 62.77; thence north 80º 15 25 west, 68.88 feet; thence south 53º 12 00 west, 413.29 feet; thence north 80º 15 25 west, 578.00 feet; thence north 9º 44 35 east, 148.00 feet; thence south 80º 15 25 east, 578.00 feet; thence south 9º 44 35 west, 148.00 feet to the point of beginning. The parking fees for long-term vehicle parking shall be established from time to time by resolution of the board of supervisors. Individuals parking vehicles, other than those renting tie downs and/or hangars at the Mariposa/Yosemite airport, shall sign a written agreement with county and all sums due shall be paid, in advance, when the agreement is executed for the balance of that calendar month. A minimum purchase of 36 gallons per month would waive the parking fee for that calendar month. Additional months parking shall be paid on or before the fifth of each month thereafter in advance. Fees shall be set by resolution of the board of supervisors from time to time. Vehicles shall be towed if fees are not timely paid T10-9c ( CC 6/ 14)

10. 08. 140 pursuant to the terms and conditions of this section. 1003 Sec.I, 2004). (Ord. 10.08.140 Violation--penalty. Every violation of the provisions of this chapter is an infraction punishable as provided in Vehicle Code Section 42001.
