Product: W W Stafsjö s knife gate valve W is a bi-directional valve with full bore. It is made to handle different liquids, especially in water, waste water and biogas plants. The W valve is designed of one piece or a two piece valve body in cast iron, with flange gaskets integrated in the body. Small cavities in the bore provide for good flow characteristics and minimize the risk for clogging. The valve is equipped with a gate in stainless steel and a sealing profile in EPDM or Nitril. Stafsjö s unique gland box packing, TwinPack, gives a tight sealing and assures high operation reliability. The valve is modular designed and it can easily be provided with different actuators and accessories. Stafsjö s knife gate valve W is designed, manufactured, inspected and tested according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EC) category II module A1. The valve is therefore CE-marked. The W valve is also available in an ATEX design (ATEX 94/ 9/EC II cat 3 G/D for zone 2 and 22).
