Enerpac s breakng the mould by applyng a two pedal desgn: one for tool advance (pressure) and one for tool retract (release). Ths two pedal desgn meets the objectves of an ergonomcally better product. The pedals are depressed wth the ball of the foot, whereby the heel stays on the ground. The bodyweght therefore rests on two legs durng the operaton. Ths causes less fatgue and provdes ncreased stablty and better control over the degree of pressng and thus the control of the pump. To control the pressure, the pump can be optonally equpped wth an ntegrated pressure gauge. The XVARI Technology replaces the popular and wdely-used lnear ar motor technology wth mproved ergonomcs, precse meterng of the hydraulc ol flow and also offers a hgher ol delvery for ncreased productvty and effcency. n Ar Drven Hydraulc Pump Technology Under the cover Tme s money The heart of the XA-Seres s a revolutonary machne of technology, whch patents have been appled for. Proven technologes and functons were used n the constructon. It was clear from market research that many users wanted a hgher hydraulc delvery. Wth the new pump, the hydraulc delvery s up to 50% hgher than wth conventonal ar-over-hydraulc pumps. Enerpac has acheved the ar drven pump segment leadng ol flow, by usng a rotatng ar motor and a rotatng two-stage pump element nstead of a lnear ar motor drvng a sngle hydraulc pston. By pressng the pedal further down the speed of the rotatng ar motor can be accurately controlled. Wth the hgher ol flow, the tme requred to run out the cylnder or tool and buld to maxmum pressure has been consderably reduced. Compared to many conventonal ar-over-hydraulc pumps the XA-Seres s up to 2 tmes as fast. Enerpac developed a specal hydraulc release valve for the retract functon. Ths valve s accurately controlled by the release pedal. The more the pedal s depressed, the faster the hydraulc pressure reduces and the cylnder or tool retracts. Ths product characterstc results n a much better control over the retract functon, thnk for example of a load that must be lowered slowly and n a controlled manner.
