Over 65 years of UK centrifuge manufacturing For over 65 years, MSE have been manufacturing laboratory centrifuges of the highest level of quality. MSE: A family owned company In every product we innovate, we first take into account the needs of the user. In doing this, we pay particular attention to the functionality and ergonomics, as well as the safety and quality; two aspects which are paramount in every MSE centrifuge. Alex Henderson Managing Director of MSE (UK) Ltd Our centrifuge is over 30 years old and still going strong. MSE centrifuges are built to last. Good, solid British manufacturing. For the serious user and the beginner. Lionel Serafini, Reactorchemist Babcock Marine I use MSE centrifuges frequently and have always found them reliable and easy to use. Elaine Turton, Technical Operations Manager Royal Holloway University of London
Save money, save the environment Whilst performance and quality are important when choosing a centrifuge, running costs are also a significant factor. The MSE Blue Force 12L R uses, on average, approximately 35% less power than its nearest competitor. This is good news for the environment and good news for your energy bills too. Save money in the long term Each Blue Force 12L R uses 35% less power than its nearest competitor. Imagine how much you could save in running costs if you chose to equip your entire laboratory with our centrifuges.
The main benefits for you Power consumption is 35% less than most leading blood bank centrifuge competitors. Spin single, double, triple, quadruple, quintuple and sextuple bags. Cost savings Affordable spare parts and accessories. Versatility Custom-made adaptors available on request. Each Blue Force 12L R produces significantly less heat than its nearest competitor, meaning you can spend less on air conditioning. Personalise each Blue Force 12L R with different screen layouts. Up to 8 different translations of the user menu can be stored. A low energy consumption centrifuge which is kind to the environment. Ergonomic design combined with intuitive and easy to use controls. Optimum height for loading. Made from over 85% recyclable materials such as steel and aluminium. Smooth, easy to clean surfaces and stainless steel bowl. Light coloured rotor makes it easy to spot any blood spillages. Eco-friendly When your Blue Force 12L R is at the end of its life, MSE will collect it from any location in the UK and recycle it, recovering any harmful substances in the process. All MSE centrifuges conform to the European RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive, meaning they are free of harmful substances such as lead, mercury and cadmium. Practicality One person can move the centrifuge without the need of a pallet truck and without adjusting the anchor feet by simply using the optional inbuilt hydraulic jacking system. Four large nylon castors make moving the centrifuge easy, even on slightly uneven ground. Name each program with alphanumeric characters. Safety Out of balance cut out, automatic rotor recognition and over speed protection. Multi-point lid lock, reinforced guard ring. Motor and chamber over temperature cut outs. Case and lid made of high grade steel and aluminium. Disruption tested to ensure safety for users. Conforms to safety standard BS EN 61010. Peace of mind Fully compliant with the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. Adaptors perfectly designed to fully support your blood bags during centrifugation and minimise spoiled samples. Reliability Quality British engineering from a brand you can trust, with over 65 years of experience in the manufacture of centrifuges. Robust and built to last. Everything you would expect from an MSE centrifuge. 100 hours reliability runs and comprehensive tests carried out on every Blue Force 12L R centrifuge before dispatch from our factory. Every Blue Force 12L R is covered by our comprehensive warranty which covers all parts of the centrifuge. Service and maintenance Maintenance free, brushless induction drive. Automatic alert when service is due. Inbuilt diagnostics makes fault finding easy. Remote diagnostics via an Internet connection coming soon. All electronic parts located on a single, easily detachable chassis plate inside the front panel. Software based electronics eliminates the possibility of spare parts becoming obsolete. Buckets are more than 600g lighter than our nearest competitor. This makes periodic cleaning less of a strain when removing buckets. Proudly made in the UK
Ergonomic design With the control panel located at the front of the instrument, the user can effortlessly operate the centrifuge and minimise musculoskeletal strain. Touch screen technology Our full colour, easy-to-use touch screen interface can be used with or without surgical gloves. Tomorrow s technology, today Using the latest Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology means obsolete electronic spare parts become a thing of the past. Any future changes can be made by simply updating the software program of your centrifuge. Easy to manoeuvre and relocate When fitted with the optional jacking system, relocation can be carried out by just one person. The Blue Force 12L R can also be equipped with detachable handles which helps with moving. Large stable feet and nylon castors Standard castors do not grip a glossy lab floor very well and they usually get caught on little ridges and joins in the flooring. That s why the Blue Force 12L R uses four large multi-directional, nylon castors, making it easier to move when relocating. You talked,
Quality separation. Every time Spin single, double, triple, quadruple, quintuple and sextuple bags and get optimum results, every time. Optional indicator tower In spacious work areas, it can be difficult knowing when your centrifuge run has come to an end, or if the instrument has a problem during the cycle. The optional indicator tower can clearly be seen from a distance which assists you in monitoring the equipment. Cost savings The Blue Force 12L R uses 35% less power than most blood banking centrifuges. This means each Blue Force 12L R will save you nearly 1000 on your electricity bills, every year*. Fast, quiet and precise Capable of speeds up to 4 700 rpm (7 630 xg). When at full speed, the Blue Force 12L R is considerably quieter than its nearest competitor and still maintains temperature control to within ±2 C. Internal lifting mechanism An integrated, internal jacking system allows the user to effortlessly raise the centrifuge and relocate it without the need of a pallet truck. Furthermore, there is no need to adjust and re-level the height of the feet as they remain static during the process. we listened *Figure based on UK unit cost supplied by British Gas on the Standard (Variable) tariff with customers paying quarterly by cash or cheque. The unit cost of the Standard (Variable) tariff is 16.46p per KWh as of the 14/05/15. The figure is based on the average power consumption of the Blue Force 12L R and its nearest competitor, both being used 8 hours a day for 5 days a week for 253 working days of the year.

The Blue Force 12L R centrifuge has been developed in partnership with Omron Industrial Automation, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of technologically advanced industrial automation products and resistive touch screen technology
The latest technology at your fingertips The Blue Force 12L R uses the latest Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) technology in conjunction with a user friendly touch screen. A service engineer can access a vast range of diagnostics within the touch screen interface and perform specific tests on individual parts of the centrifuge; all of which can be carried out without even having to open up the unit. Detailed individual programs can be set up by the laboratory manager and locked to avoid other users tampering with the parameters. Programs can be password protected and named with alphanumeric characters. A comprehensive log of any alarms are automatically stored within the system. The date, time and nature of the alarm are also listed. This helps any service engineer better understand how the centrifuge has been used and indicates any persistent errors that may be occurring. Understanding the fault history also helps the service engineer swiftly resolve any technical issues.
