8 9 Screen Motion Analyser Sieve Bends The screen motion analyser helps maintain vibrating equipment and reduce downtime and costs. How it works The ccreen motion analyser records the vibrations in three directions simultaneously and sends the information via bluetooth to a smartphone to create a tridimensional plot of a screen or feeder motion. The screen motion analyser can be used to check and confirm: That the vibrating screen is stroking correctly to optimise the machine life, performance and efficiency That the vibrating screen is not running near any natural frequencies, which can result in significant irreversible damage Analysis can be done at regular intervals, after a change to the screen, or as a precautionary measure. If a problem is identified, the data can be downloaded to an external source for more detailed analysis. Data can also be sent to your nearest FLSmidth Ludowici equipment analyst for an expert opinion. The screen motion analyser can be purchased for on-site convenience, or alternatively, FLSmidth Ludowici can offer screen motion analysis as a service by one of our qualified service technicians. The FLSmidth Ludowici sieve bend range has been specifically designed to separate fine solids from slurry for a range of applications such as quarries, minerals, agriculture, food processing, wood chip and waste water. The sieve bend can be supplied as static (SBS), roll back (SBR) or yoke mounted (SBY) models. The roll back and yoke mounted function allows the sieve bend to be rotated, which ensures the operating efficiency and screen panel life is maximised. How it works Solids-bearing liquid (slurry) is poured into the feed box and overflows onto the screen. The sharp, leading edge of each wedge wire slices away a thin layer of water and small particle solids. Larger particles continue down the screen surface until most of the liquid is removed. The size of particles is determined by the size of the coal particles and their settling velocity in the liquid. Separation size, in most operations, is usually about half the size of the screen opening. Benefits and Easy to use and interpret Can be used safely without impacting production Does not require specialist training or advanced knowledge in vibration analysis Low cost, with only one analyser required on each site Unit temporarily attached to screen using magnets Horizontal, vertical and lateral vibrations simultaneously recorded Vibration data is sent to a touch screen Smartphone via blue tooth Simple to interpret plot showing 3D screen motion Touch screen operation with rotatable view and 2D set views Calculates and displays screen operating frequency, vibrating stroke and lateral displacement (pk-pk) Can save files as a record or for further analysis Civil aggregate CIL process Dewatering Trash Scalping Sizing Classification Waste water Food processing Wide range of sizes with widths up to 3.6m Suitable for a range of screening media such as stainless steel wedge wire or polyurethane Quality wear materials such as alumina and quarry tile or vulcanised rubber
10 11 Jetslingers Stockpile Dischargers and Coal Valves Stockpiling - Can be ground based (fixed or mobile on trolley), mounted on a traveling tripper, or at the discharge end of a stacking boom. Ship loading - Loading bulk carrier ships with small hatch access and below deck obstructions. The Jetslinger is suspended from the shore based ship loading boom by a telescopic chute which allows the unit to be lowered into the ship s hold. FLSmidth Ludowici designs and manufactures Jetslingers to suit almost every bulk storage and loading requirement. Jetslingers consist of a very short centre high speed (up to 20m/sec) belt conveyor. The carrying surface of the belt is held in a concave curve by hold down rollers at each side of the belt. A specially designed vertical chute directs the material onto the optimum area of the curved belt between the rollers before being forced against the belt by centrifugal force as it travels the concave path. It rapidly reaches the same speed as the belt and is thrown from the Jetslinger as the belt passes over the front pulley. and Benefits The trajectory of the material is controlled by raising or lowering the front pulley, while the direction of material is controlled by slewing the complete Jetslinger body. Design Parameters: Variations in bulk density, moisture, shape, particle sizing and other material characteristics affect capacity. Handling softer materials (e.g. woodchips) Jetslingers can throw material as far as 30 metres horizontally (i.e. 20m to apex of throw) and pile it to a height of 10 metres above the discharge pulley. The distance thrown will vary depending on the materials, belt speed, method of feeding the unit and the vertical height available for free falling the feed material onto the high-speed belt. Rotating components of the belt conveyor are dynamically balanced for smooth, trouble free operation Removable lower belt cartridge incorporating the drive and non-drive belt pulleys, and the Jetslinger belt Quick-release belt cartridge design providing a much easier and quicker belt changeover compared with conventional Jetslingers approx. 30 minutes compared to four hours FLSmidth Ludowici designs and manufactures stockpile dischargers (SPD) with more than 180 manufactured to date. : Support frame (Cast-in frame) Cast-in support frame is a heavy steel ring beam for casting into the concrete roof to support both the SPD and the coal valve i.e. keeps tunnel floor clear Cast-in frame simplifies the civil form work and incorporates four water drainage outlets Stockpile discharger High-energy twin drive mechanisms: 2 x 11 kw for SPD11 2 x 22 kw for SPD15 Exciter configuration produces a vertical lift and horizontal twist action and transmits the full force into the stockpile. Drive is via direct coupled cardan shafts, not v-belt driven Standard off the shelf mining specification drive motors SPD functions controlled by site PLC timer and by microwave starve switch Benefits and Cast-in frame can deliver cost-savings System constructed for ease of maintenance Electro mechanical linear actuators allow stand alone operation of each equipment combination Cut-off gate capable of being closed through a static head of coal Conveyor load skirts/hopper prevents sloughing of coal slurry into tunnell Coal valve Double acting gate system including a control gate and a cut-off gate Gates are curved to promote material flow in the direction of the reclaim conveyor, thus minimizing conveyor belt wear Electro mechanical linear actuators fitted to both the control gate and the cut-off gate Coal valve functions controlled by site PLC Conveyor load skirts/hopper Designed in conjunction with the coal valve and reclaim conveyor to prevent flooding of tunnel Rear section flared to allow entrance of up-stream material Adjustable profile outlet plate to ensure smooth conveyor loading Applications: Designed to facilitate a controlled outloading rate of typically 5,000 tonnes per hour
