RACK COOLING GUIDE ACCESS TO OUTSIDE AIRLOW r the fan system t wrk prperly, the rack fan must have access t utside air. It can be ventilatin hles n the rack r n the cabinet if it s hlding an pen frame rack. The hles allw the rack fan t exhaust warm air and intake cl air. INTAKE AND EXHAUST All rack fan systems shuld cntain an intake and exhaust variable. T assist with natural cnvectin, psitin fans near the tp f the rack cnfigured t exhaust ut the warm air and fans near the bttm t push in cl air. OPTIMIZING AIRLOW T ptimize airflw circulatin, we recmmend using blank panels t fill the empty spaces n the rack. This increases the efficiency f the fan systems by preventing warm air frm escaping midway and being recycled back int the rack. 6
