NIJ BODY ARMOR TANDARD The National Institute of Justice s Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor - NIJ tandard-0101.06 - specifies the minimum performance requirements that equipment intended to protect against gunfire should meet to satisfy the general needs of criminal justice agencies, as well as the methods used to test such performance. Issued in 2008, NIJ tandard-0101.06 supersedes NIJ tandard-0101.04. Body armor manufacturers and purchasers use the NIJ standard to help determine whether specific models meet the desired performance levels. Adherence to the standard is voluntary. The nylon sleeve has integrated handle systems for ambidextrous use, allowing the operator to hold the shield in a comfortable and ergonomically correct fashion, thus reducing fatigue and increasing tactical mobility. A blunt force trauma reduction material is placed in between the ballistic panel and the handle to reduce injuries from a direct hit. IMMEDIATE REPONE CARRIER (IRC) VICTORY TACTICA GEAR 37 The Immediate Response Carrier (IRC) was developed as a minimalistic no thrills, no frills plate carrier that is lightweight, functional and robust. When worn with ballistic inserts, the IRC can be quickly donned for rapid action response to high threat scenarios such as Active hooter, Entries, Home Defense or other critical incidents. The IRC is constructed from 1000D Cordura and has adjustable 2 wide shoulder straps and an adjustable waist strap with 2 webbing with quick release buckles. The front carriage of the IRC has a 4 x8 hook pile to attach ID placards and three rows of PA webbing. The rear carriage is slick with a reciprocating 4 x8 hook pile to attach a rear ID placard. Armor inserts load from the bottom and the carriage has an internal stirrup to adjust the height and secure the insert.

Designed with the operator in mind, the MPAC provides increased tactical mobility while still providing maximum coverage. The advanced hooter s Cut design allows the operator to shoulder a long gun more easily without interference from the ballistic panels. Truly scalable, the MPAC has removable 3D mesh shoulder pads and a removable cummerbund that can be replaced with a 2 adjustable webbing strap with quick release buckles.
