VESSEL/ Project SCOPE OF SUPPLY MODEL 2017 Baydelta Navigation Ltd. Chartering LLC Tugboat Caden Foss The Tugboat is designed by Jensen Maritime, and to be built at JT Marine Shipyard. We view this project a big step forward, says Johann Sigurjonsson, President of Rapp Marine U.S. working closely with Baydelta has resulted in developing an ideal tow winch for the market. Equipment for Vessel Chartering LLC: Rapp Marine has now developed a unique, fully electric driven double drum tow winch on a new 110 x40 tractor tug for Vessel Chartering LLC, a wholly owned division of Baydelta Navigation Ltd. Driven by a single 100 HP motor, the winch can pull over 75 tons and utilizes pneumatic cylinders in place of hydraulics, keeping fluid off of the deck. The sturdy brakes offer a force of 250 tons on the barrel layer. The main drum can store 2,500 of 2.5 steel wire, and the storage drum can store 2,200 of 2.25 steel wire. Both drums are equipped with level winds, and can spool 90 of 3 chain on top of the steel wire. Another feature is an electric come home drive, which will serve as a back up to the main drive train. The winch s main control station will be situated in the wheel house, with secondary controls located on the winch. The main control station will employ Rapp Marine s Pentagon Tow Control System, that provides more efficient and safer operations for towing vessels. The Pentagon System features a touchscreen with tension and wire length readouts, auto-tension capability, and automated haul-in and pay-out settings. 2017 Harley Marine Services The OneDREAM and the All Aboard For A Cure. The Vessels are articulated barges that will be paired with articulated tugs. The vessels will work the West Coast trade routes providing petroleum transportation to Harley Marine s customers. The two oil tank barges are 430 ft. in length, 76-8 ft. wide beam, and 27 ft. deep, and have an 81,900 BBL capacity. The barges were designed by Elliott Bay Design Group in Seattle, WA, and built at Gunderson Marine in Portland, OR. The OneDREAM and the All Aboard For A Cure:. In the middle of 2016, Rapp Marine tasked with providing a complete deck machinery solution for two oil tank barges built for Harley Marine Services. The Rapp Marine equipment on each barge includes a 75 ft. crane, seven winches for anchoring and mooring, and a central hydraulic system to supply the hydraulic users. The onboard cranes and winches will assist with moving deck machinery including hoses and connection pieces during loading and offloading procedures. The crane is specified to pick up 1,700 lbs at 75 ft. for hose handling. There are (4) double drum mooring winches and (2) single drum mooring winches designed pull around 5 tons at 1st layer, and hold over 25 tons brake holding force at 1st layer. The anchor winch is designed to fit 1,200 ft. of 1-3/4 steel wire rope and 60 ft. of 2-1/8 chain, and rated to hold over 90 tons at first layer brake holding force, and pull over 11 tons at first layer. 2017 Shaver Transportation of Portland Tugboat The latest tugboat to the Shaver Transportation fleet is designed by Jensen Maritime of Seattle, WA and is under construction at Diversified Marine of Portland, OR. Two heavy-duty Rapp Marine load handling winches on their latest tugboat. Rapp Marine s advanced Pentagon Tug PLC Control System The tugboat will be equipped with two primary winches, the single drum bow hawser winch and the stern double drum tow winch. The bow hawser winch will be used for ship assist and escorting duty on the Columbia River and out at sea, which provides more efficient and safer operations for escort and towing missions. The Pentagon System features a touchscreen with tension and wire length readouts, auto-tensioning capability, and automated haul-in and pay-out settings, as well as capacity for logging data that can later be downloaded to analyse line tension during each mission as well as track the overall use of the line.
