Description of component These tanks are designed for use with sprayers for the distribution of chemical products. They are made out of polyethylene, obtained via rotational moulding. There is a compartment in the front part of the tank to house the pump and tubing. On the side, to the rear, are the seats for the machine s wheels. All models are equipped with auxiliary tanks for cleaning the distribution circuit and for hand washing. The circuit cleaning tank is positioned in the front part, above the pump compartment. Liquid level inside the main tank is displayed in the front right part and on the left side via gauges etched directly in the polyethylene. Access to the main tank is via two openings positioned on the left side. The lower part of the main tank is shaped such a way as to facilitate emptying, even in an inclined position. Test method The functional parameters examined were the maximum capacity of the various tanks, the accuracy of level indicators of the main tank and the roughness of inside and outside surfaces. Values were calculated using water, free of suspended solids, and electronic scales. Results Capacity Main tank The maximum capacities measured close to the opening are given in the table below. Model max. capacity (l) difference vis-à-vis nominal value Linea 800 895 +11.8% Linea 1000 1,056 +5.6% All models had maximum capacities exceeding 5% of the nominal value, in keeping with the legal limit established for sprayers. 4/8
Circuit cleaning tank model max. capacity (l) % vis-à-vis nominal value Linea 800 86 10.8% Linea 1000 93 9.3% For the Linea 1000 model the capacity of the circuit cleaning tank is 10% lower than the nominal capacity of the main tank, thus the extent of the dilutable volume after the tank is installed in the sprayer will have to be checked. Hand washing tank The capacity of the hand washing tank, the same for all models, is 15.7 l. This value was above the legal minimum of 15 l. Gauge Tanks having a nominal capacity of up to 1,000 l are fitted with gauges having a scale in intervals of 50 l, while those having a higher capacity are in intervals of 100 l. For some models lower scale markings are not shown on the tank because of the rounded shape of the lower part of the tank. For each of these the manufacturer provides the indications (vertically from the first marking etched in the polyethylene) needed to position them correctly on the frame of the finished machine. Up until 20% of nominal capacity, the maximum difference between the value indicated by the scale markings and the actual amount of liquid in the tank must be ±7.5% in accordance with reference legislation. For all the tanks to which the present test report refers, measured values were below the limit, as can be seen in the table below. model front indicator side indicator Linea 800-0.3% -5.7% Linea 1000-0.2% 5.3% Over 20% of nominal capacity, the maximum allowed difference is ±5.0%. Measured values are given in the table below. model front indicator side indicator Linea 800-3.5% -4.2% Linea 1000 3.6% 4.3% The graphs below show, for both tanks tested and for both content indicators (front and side), the differences (% error) between the value indicated by scale markings and the actual amount of liquid in the tank. 5/8

Roughness Surface roughness of tanks was below the limit of 100 µm established by reference legislation. Measured values are given in the table below. model external roughness (Rz - µm) internal roughness (Rz - µm) Linea 800 17.5 10.5 Linea 1000 15.9 12.1 Notes on results The tanks examined, designed for use with trailed sprayers, successfully met regulatory requirements. For some parameters, the installer must observe the recommendations given by the tank manufacturer in order to guarantee the above results for the end product, i.e. the sprayer. 7/8
