The Salvage Support Skimmer System P16200 is a stand-alone response package for recovering oil from small salvage-related spills inside ship spaces, or in and around sheltered waters. The Salvage Support Skimmer System consists of: a Salvage Skimmer System Van, which is a storage/shipping container for the components of the system; two Machinery Containment Pools that provide a means of catching and containing any oil, fuel, or contaminants leaking or spilled by components; a Skim-Pak System containing a 1 1/2-Inch and a 2-Inch Skim-Pak for skimming oil; Oil Containment Boom Kit containing 18 sections of 26-inch oil containment boom and four sections of 26-inch shore boom for booming off areas in and around harbors; an Oil Mop Kit containing an Oil Mop Skimmer and a 2-Inch Diaphragm Pump for oil removal; two 15-foot Inflatable Boats for maintaining and moving equipment; two 500-Gallon Rubber Oil Storage Bladders; two 15-hp outboard motors for the two 15- foot inflatable boats; a Mini-Max Harbor Skimmer for oil removal; four Polyester Roundslings for lifting the Salvage Skimmer System Van; and the ancillary equipment necessary to maintain and operate the components of the Salvage Skimmer System. The 16' Polyester Roundsling SL0012 is an alternate for the 14'6"Polyester Roundsling SL0011, and the Oil Mop Skimmers SK0733 and SK0734 are alternates for Oil Mop Skimmer SK0730. The alternate configurations are functionally the same as the primary component; however, the performance characteristics may vary slightly from one another and from the primary component. The 84-inch x 41-inch x 7-inch (without stanchions) USS-26/USS-26SB Boom Storage Pallet BM0875 is a storage/shipping container for either the USS-26 or the USS-26SB boom. The pallet is designed to hold 18 sections of USS-26 and four sections of USS-26SB. It is constructed of 2- and 2 1/2-inch square tubing with a 3/4-inch x #9 expanded metal deck to support the boom. The pallet incorporates forklift slots for ease in handling and transporting. The 26-inch x 55-foot Model USS-26 Oil Containment Boom BM0760/BM0761 is 26 inches high, air inflatable, and made of vinyl/nitrile rubber-impregnated nylon fabric that resists abrasions, gouging, oil and salt water. The boom is constructed in 55-foot sections. Each section has five, 10-foot-long inflation chambers with an inflation/deflation valve. The chambers are connected with the same material and vulcanized with no stitched seams. The boom is designed for use in oil spill situations to contain oil released from a casualty vessel, or to deflect or contain oil in harbors and bays.
