Cnditin/Cncern: Custmers may cmment n varius issues with their vehicle related t high r lw speed data bus traffic. These cncerns may be widely varied, but sme f the knwn issues are listed belw. Knwn Symptms (nt specific t any ne device) The radi may nt shut ff after shutting dwn vehicle. Bus r LAN traffic may stay active leading t a discharged vehicle battery. Prblems reprgramming mdules either because f interference r the device will nt allw the bus t pwer dwn. ONSTAR may lse the ability t prvide diagnstic data. Erratic electric pwer steering bst ptentially assciated with cdes U2109, U2107, U2100, B1325, and C0000. Battery run dwn Service Tire Pressure Mnitring (TPM) system light illuminated. Cannt relearn TPM Specific t Hybrids: Reduced prpulsin pwer message. Service high vltage charging system message. Cause: If nthing else can be identified as the rt cause f the issue after nrmal diagnstics as fund in SI, check fr a device plugged int the Assembly Line Diagnstic Link (ALDL) r Data Link Cnnectr (DLC) fr tracking and/r maintenance interval scheduling. Mnitring devices, alng with ther electrnic accessries such as aftermarket cruise cntrl, r plice speed checking devices (RADAR r LIDAR) may cause ne r mre f the cncerns listed abve. Many f the prblems described culd be caused by an pen cnnectin n the HSCAN bus. Example: if the device nly makes cnnectin with ne CAN +, then it will cause bus errrs and erratic ECU behavir. These devices may be remved by the custmer fr use in anther vehicle while theirs is brught in fr service. Fleet Tracking Mdule Plugged Int the DLC Crrectin If SI diagnstics d nt identify the surce f the issue and if the device is available, attempt t duplicate the cnditin, and then remve the device t determine if the cnditin is eliminated. If the custmer s cncern is reslved by remving the DLC interface device, infrm the custmer f the results, and that they shuld wrk with the supplier f the device fr further reslutin. If the cnditin is nt eliminated with the device remved, cntinue diagnsing the vehicle with the apprpriate Service Infrmatin. Parts Infrmatin There shuld nt be any parts required. If n the rare ccasin parts appear t have been damaged by the device r the installatin f the device, this wuld nt be a defect cvered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
