DRY 500: High-Efficiency Biomass Dryer DRY 500: High-efficiency biomass dryer: Dry 500 is an innovative direct-exchange drying system with very high return. The operating principle is extremely simple but equally effective: the hot air generated by the combustion of the biomass (wood pellets or wood chips) is mixed in the combustion chamber in order to obtain the correct temperature based on moisture and the type of material to be dried, which is introduced into the flow of hot air and passes through the evaporation cell, where the separation between water (in vapor phase) and material takes place. Finally, a centrifugal cyclone system allows the physical separation in the vapor phase and of the dried biomass that is expelled through a special rotary valve. The thermal applied is 400 Kw, with maximum quantities dried according to the and moisture of the material. It is possible to reach high productions. The raw material to be dried can have maximum moisture levels of about 40-45% with return directly proportional to the applied thermal and the type of biomass used. Type of drying material: Sawdust, shavings, micro-woodchips (maximum drying size within 8mm). The drying systems are specially designed to be used in a profitable way with the Smartwood pelletizing systems. 41
