1 Data Sheet Bioengineering RALF Bioengineering RALF Autoclavable Laboratory Bioreactors / Fermentors with glass vessels. The glass vessels have both a round bottom and stainless steel lid. The system is heat-sterilized in the autoclave. Vessels with 2 L, 3.7 L, 5 L and 6.7 L total volume are available for either microbial and/or cell culture systems. Both cell culture and microbial systems are available in a cost-efficient basic or an expansively equipped advanced model. Basic models are temperature controlled with a heating blanket and cooling finger, while advanced models offer two-sided temperature control system via a double-jacket (cell culture) or hollow vortex breakers connected to the water circuit (microbial). The powerful agitation system allows for a huge rpm range featuring a brushless DC motor with a rpm sensor for accurate agitation speed control. All control loops are hardware-controlled. Access, visualization and data management occur with our powerful BioSCADA software (included) that can be installed on a regular PC with Windows XP or 7. Up to 6 units can be controlled using one PC and one screen. Advanced models allow for easy integration and calibration of additional control loops (such as scales, off-gas analysis etc.).
