Recoendations for mining Cables y Alambres Especiales S.A. based in our more than 100 years of experience in this strong market can recoend our solutions for each different application. SHAFT MINING Drum Hoists and Friction or Koope Hoists Six Stranded ropes These ropes are general purpose ropes and can be used when the shafts are not too deep due to the tendency to twist. Recoended Lang lay ropes. Rotation Resistant Ropes. We always recoend compacted strands due to the better crushing resistance. Locked Coil Ropes Can be used in any depth of shalt. The section is very compact and can be used in multi-layer drums. Sinking Ropes For this use we recoend Locked coil ropes or rotation resistant ropes. Round surface, high non rotation capabilities and good performance. Balance Ropes Flexible ropes with accurate weigh. Our recoendations are multi-strand wire ropes. Depend of the use normal construction is 18x7 or 34x7. Guide Ropes Special wire ropes with a core formed by round wire and the outer lay formed by a mixed of round and X shaped wires. SURFACE MINING Boom Lines Eight strands wire ropes, optional compacted and plastic infiltrated. Boom Pendant Spiral Strand or Locked Coil Ropes. Hoist and Drag Six or eight strands compacted wire ropes. Plastic infiltrated core as an option. Crowd line Six or eight strands wire ropes can be used depending of the application.
