e 2 120 YEARS OF LIGHTING EXPERIENCE Ichisuke Fujioka had a dream the electrification of Japan. In 1884, Ichisuke met Thomas Edison at the World Fair in the United States. The meeting inspired him, and in 1890, Ichisuke established Hakunetsu-sha, Japan s first plant for electric incandescent lamps. Hakunetsu-sha eventually merged with Shibaura Engineering Works, Co. to form what is now modern day Toshiba Corporation. This innovative LED unit marks a new era in LED lighting, where the LED package, driver, and electronics are all contained within one modular unit. The Self Contained Round unit utilizes a lockable GX53 base, which allows for easy installation and replacement of the unit within fixtures that are utilizing this base. The Self Contained Round is available in 40 and 100 beam angles and has a rated lifetime of 40,000 hours.
