Powering the accessory Your accessory was designed to operate at 15-18 volts (C). You may choose to supply power with a separate accessory power supply or through the track using a Lionel Lockon (available separately, 6-62900) or a FasTrack ccessory Power Wire (available separately, 6-12053). Refer to Figure 1. To make the proper connections, the ends of the wires must be stripped back 1/8 to 1/4. Caution! Only an adult should perform this task. We recommend using a pair of wire strippers. lways use care when stripping wires. 1. ttach one wire to the C INPT terminal on the underside of the accessory and connect it to the Common/Ground/ terminal on your power supply or to the #2 Lockon terminal. If you are using the FasTrack ccessory Power Wire, twist the accessory wire to the ccessory Power Wire, which must be attached to the track. We recommend using a wire nut (not included) to insulate the connections. Note! To make the spring clip terminal connection, press down on the top portion of the spring clip so that the metal loop is exposed. Slide the bare end of the wire into the loop, then release pressure on the spring clip. 2. ttach a wire to the remaining C INPT terminal on the underside of the accessory and connect it to the Power/ terminal on your power supply or to the #1 Lockon terminal. If you are using the FasTrack ccessory Power Wire, twist the accessory wire to the remaining ccessory Power Wire. 3. ttach a wire to the CTION terminal on the underside of the accessory and connect it to a separate switch. Connect the remaining switch terminal to the Power/ terminal on your transformer, the #1 Lockon terminal, or a FasTrack ccessory Power Wire. Note! To make the switch connection, loosen the screw, wrap the wire around the screw clockwise, and tighten the screw to secure the connection. 4. ttach a wire to the LIGHT terminal on the underside of the accessory and connect it to the second separate switch. Connect the remaining switch terminal to the Power/ terminal on your transformer, the #1 Lockon terminal, or a FasTrack ccessory Power Wire.

dding smoke fluid Your accessory is equipped with an operating smoke unit that creates safe, clean, white smoke. You must periodically add about five drops of smoke fluid while the accessory is operating. Operating the smoke unit without a small amount of smoke fluid will cause damage to the smoke unit. Your accessory includes a small bottle of smoke fluid. To add smoke fluid, press down and unscrew the smoke fluid bottle s cap, then use a pin to pierce the tip of the nozzle. Lift away the roof and add about five drops of smoke fluid into the hole. Refer to Figure 2. Replace the roof. Figure 2. Smoke fluid Operating the accessory in the TrainMaster Command Control environment For operation in the TrainMaster Command Control environment, you may choose to wire this accessory with an SC-2 Switch and ccessory Controller (available separately, 6-22980) or the ccessory Switch Controller (available separately, 6-14182). Refer to these manuals for additional information. SC-2 wiring and operation Refer to Figure 3 to connect your accessory to the SC-2 and a separate accessory power supply. Replacing the lamps Three lamps illuminated the interior of this accessory. During the course of normal operations, you may find that the lamps require replacement. Replacement lamps are available at your authorized Lionel Service Center or from Lionel Service in Chesterfield, Michigan. Refer to Figure 5 as you replace the lamps. To replace the lamp on the second floor, simply lift away the roof, pull the expired lamp out of the socket, and install the replacement (Lionel part no. 6SP-4104-100). Replace the roof. To replace a lamp on the ground floor, remove the four screws from the underside of the base. Locate and remove the expired lamp, then install the replacement (Lionel part no. 6SP-4104-200). Limited Warranty/Lionel Service This Lionel product, including all mechanical and electrical components, moving parts, motors and structural components, except for light bulbs, is warranted to the original consumer-purchaser, for one year against original defects in materials or workmanship when purchased through an authorized Lionel merchant. This warranty does NOT cover normal wear and tear, light bulbs, defects appearing in the course of commercial use, or damage resulting from abuse or misuse of the product by the purchaser. Transfer of this product by the original consumer-purchaser to another person voids this warranty. Modification of this product voids this warranty. ny warranted product which is defective in original materials or workmanship and is delivered by the original consumer-purchaser to Lionel L.L.C. or an authorized Lionel L.L.C. Service Center, together with proof of original purchase will, at the option of Lionel L.L.C., be repaired or replaced, without charge for parts or labor. Instructions for Obtaining Service If service for this Lionel L.L.C. product is required, bring the item, along with your dated sales receipt and completed warranty information to the nearest uthorized Lionel Service Center. If you prefer to send your product back to Lionel L.L.C. for repair in Michigan, you must first call 586-949-4100 or FX 586-949-5429, or write to Customer Service, P.O. Box 748, New Baltimore, MI 48047-0748, stating what the item is, when it was purchased and what seems to be the problem. You will be sent a return authorization letter and label to ensure your merchandise will be properly handled upon receipt. Once you have received your return authorization and label, make sure that the item is packed to prevent damage during shipping and handling. We suggest that you use the product s original packaging. This shipment must be prepaid and we recommend that it be insured. Please make sure you have followed all of the above instructions carefully before returning any merchandise for service.
