Project Code: 03SB01JGdemo This study was conducted to compare weed control with Roundup WeatherMAX and Roundup UltraMAX applied alone, and Roundup WeatherMAX applied in combination with other herbicides. Because of wet soil conditions, application was delayed and some of the weeds were 6 to 8 inches tall. Red rice was controlled 16 days after treatment at least 97% with Roundup WeatherMAX or Roundup UltraMAX regardless of rate and with Roundup WeatherMAX applied with Classic or Scepter. However, when Roundup WeatherMAX at 23.3 oz/a was applied with Storm, Basagran, or Blazer control of red rice was 80 to 85%. Excellent control of barnyardgrass and redweed was obtained with either Roundup formulation applied alone or with another herbicide. Dayflower was controlled 78 to 80% with Roundup WeatherMAX at 23.3 oz/a, Roundup UltraMAX at 25.6 oz/a, and Roundup WeatherMAX at 23.3 oz/a plus Blazer, but control was 88 to 99% for the other treatments. Rice flatsedge was controlled 90% or more for only Roundup UltraMAX at 38.4 oz/a and Roundup WeatherMAX at 23.3 oz/a plus Classic, Storm, or Basagran. Some foliar burn on soybean was observed where Storm, Basagran, or Blazer was applied with Roundup WeatherMAX. 2
