Newsletter We Take Pride in Our Customers Success REPAIR & REFRIGERATION, INC W141 OPPORTUNITY LANE FAMILY OWNED & OPERATED SINCE 1996 www.elmrepair.com 715-352-2416 April, May, June 2016 We have made the move! There are still a few things to finish up in Spring but that is mainly the asphalt and landscaping and outdoor signage. We are all still organizing and reorganizing so please bear with us a little longer until we have everything in its proper place. As with moving there will be a few changes. All customers must use the front entrance of the new building. Per our insurance and OSHA rules we can no longer have customers in the shop/service areas of the building, if you are going to be here a bit we have a big beautiful customer lounge for you to wait and be comfortable in. If for any reason the technicians need you to look at the truck, they will escort you to your truck. Parts and Service will be handled at the front counter. If you are bringing in leaky hydraulic hoses please place them in a box to prevent spilling oils on the floors, please come to the rear parts door with hoses for repair. Light duty vehicles will park at the front of the building mid-heavy duty, truck and trailer, large equipment will park on the North side of the building and all enter through the front entrance, signs will be up shortly. We will be hosting an Open House in July 2016, so please watch for your invitation. Thank you for your cooperation, it means the world to us.

E.L.M. REPAIR & REFRIGERATION, INC Evan s Notes: Springtime Vehicle Tips Spring is one of the prime times for auto maintenance. That first wash-n-wax on a warm Saturday afternoon is liberating. Winter's gloom (to say nothing of grit and road salt) is literally washed away. Take out the snow shovel, the gloves, and heavy boots and store them 'til next season. Surely summer can't be far away. Some preparation now will help ensure that your summer driving plans go as smoothly as you envision them now. E.L.M. offers the following tips on getting your vehicle ready for summer. Read the owner's manual and follow the recommended service schedules. Have hard starts, rough idling, stalling, etc. corrected before hot weather sets in. Flush and refill cooling system (radiator) according to manual's recommendations. Level, condition, and concentration of the coolant should be checked periodically. Tightness and condition of belts, clamps, and hoses should be checked by a qualified service technician. Have a marginally operating air conditioner system serviced by a qualified service technician to reduce the likelihood of more costly repairs. Change the oil and oil filter Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended. Check the condition of tires, including the spare. Always check tire pressure when the tires are cold. Inspect all lights and bulbs; replace burned out bulbs. Replace worn wiper blades and keep plenty of washer solvent on hand to combat summer's dust and insects. Call the office to set up an appointment today! We are open Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. Evan

Drunken Strawberries 1 cup light red wine 1/2 cup sugar 1 ounce Cognac 1 pound strawberries, quartered Combine wine, sugar and cognac. Stir in strawberries and refrigerate until cold, about 20 minutes (even better, do before dinner and let sit until dessert). Serve over ice cream. Crumbs and other food debris left in Cabs of Trucks. One of the most common and potentially the most dangerous type of mess in a truck is food waste. Eating on the go such as having snacks or even sitting down to eat whole meals in your truck will lead to the inevitable crumbs and small food spillages. Food waste is particularly a problem as when left it will often start to decompose feeding bacteria which often will start to smell and could potentially lead health issues such as salmonella. You would not believe trucks that have come in with electrical issues, when pulled apart you find food, food wrappings, dirt from shoes that build up when not cleaned properly, this can cause a quick break down on the road if not kept clean and an expensive towing charge to have it brought in for repair. Solution: try and eat meals over something that can be easily cleaned as to not get food in your driving seat or where you sleep. When cleaning it is important to make sure to remove all the food particles, the best way to do this would be using a small handheld cordless vacuum to properly get into all the cracks and hidden places of the truck. Keeping a cab clean is a good way of keeping in cab electrical repairs at a minimum.
