Ultraflo proudly offers our Transport Line of resilient seated butterfly valves the 390/400 Series. 390 Series valves are split body style with a one-piece disc/stem. 400 Series valves are one-piece body style with a separate disc and stem. 2 12 valve sizes are offered in both series. Rugged, durable and lightweight, these valves are available in Cast Aluminum, as standard, or Cast Iron bodies. The 390/400 Series features Ultraflo s precision CNC Machining to ensure consistent, superior performance. 400 Series Ultraflo s 400 Series valves have set the standard in bulk trailer applications for both performance and economy. Engineered for long service at a low price, this valve incorporates all the advantages of resilient seated butterfly valves plus the features required in bulk trailer transportation applications. The 400 Series offers rugged, lightweight construction, smooth quarter-turn operation, and ease of installation and maintenance. Transport Line Butterfly Valves Features Primary and Secondary Seals prevent line media from contacting stem and body components. The primary seal is formed by an interference fit between the disc hub and the seat flat. The secondary seal is an interference fit between the stem and seat stem hole. Ultraflo s Disc edge is CNC contoured and hand polished to produce zero leakage shut off, minimum torque and longer seat life. Discs and Disc/Stems are available in a variety of materials and custom coatings. 400 Series Stems are constructed of high strength 17-4 PH Stainless Steel to eliminate twisting and includes industry standard connections for actuator mounting. Upper and Lower Stem Bushings are constructed of heavy duty non-corrosive thermoplastic polymer to eliminate galling and reduce torque. The Upper Bushing also absorbs operator side thrusts and ensures precision alignment. (The Lower Bushing is offered only on 4 and larger valves.) A Stem Packing ensures a positive seal for pressure or vacuum service and prevents external contaminants from entering the stem bore. Body Recesses ease installation alignment and accommodate lightweight flanges. The Top Plate has industry standardized drilling for total manual operator and actuator interchangeability. 400 Series Disc Screws are 316SS as standard and are sealed with Buna-N O-rings to prevent corrosive media from contacting the stem. 390 Series Ultraflo s 390 Series are the ultimate valves for bulk trailer industrial applications requiring minimum flow interruption or a sanitary design. The 390 onepiece disc/stem features a ultra-thin profile that increases flow capacity with smooth flow characteristics. The disc/stem design inherently meets sanitary requirements and offers lightweight / maximum strength construction. Like the 400 Series, the 390 features smooth quarter-turn operation, ease of use, and ease of installation and maintenance. Features The 390 Series two-piece Split Body is connected with Body Bolts. This split body style allows for a one-piece Ultrathin Disc/Stem that does not require disc screws, thus reducing points of erosion and product entrapment. For improved sanitary performance, discs with satin and high polish finishes are available. 390 series disc/stems are offered in rugged investment cast 17-4 PH and 316 Stainless Steel or 255 Duplex Stainless when both increased strength and sanitary requirements apply. Aside from the one piece disc/stem and split body, the 390 and 400 series share the same design features as detailed on page 2. Resilient Seats Ultraflo s elastomer Seat is the heart of all 390/400 Series valves. The elasticity of the material provides zero leakage shutoff throughout the full pressure range. The seat incorporates a Dovetail Retention System ensuring positive alignment and ease of assembly. Standard seats include an integral Flange Seal molded into the seat face providing a positive seal with all popular flanges. In addition to the valve s primary & secondary seals, an O-Ring is molded into the seat stem hole for a third level of protection. The standard seat material for most dry bulk applications is Ultraflo s carboxylated Nitrile. Its years of field service success has proven this seat s superior abrasion resistance. Buna-N, EPDM and FKM seats are available for a variety of additional applications. UltraSeal For the maximum sanitary performance available in an elastomer seat choose the Ultraseal. This seat combines a flat flange face with a square transition from flange seal to valve bore. The result is zero product entrapment. Offered in Food Grade White Nitrile. Body Bolt 3 390 Series Valves have been designed to fit between TTMA, ASME & lightweight flanges. The body features alignment holes that ensure proper valve positioning and allow quick, problem free installation. 5
The Ultraflo Transport Line Valve Operators Handles Offered in aluminum, nodular iron or stainless steel, handles feature a spring assisted locking lever that eliminates position change due to vibration or load pressure. 5, 10 and Infinite posi-tion notch plates are available. Open and closed stops are built in. Nodular iron and stainless steel handles can be padlocked to prevent tampering. Hopper Tees Dual Flanged Tees In addition to the 390/400 Series line of resilient seated butterfly valves, Ultraflo offers a range of other products in our Transport Line all designed specifically to meet the needs and requirements of the bulk trailer market. Ultra Coupler Pneumatic Actuators Rack and pinion actuators are offered in Double Acting & Spring Fail Safe versions. Constructed of hard anodized aluminum, these compact actuators mount directly to Ultraflo valves and are ISO and NAMUR compliant. Torque Range: 300-29,000 lb-ins. Electronic solenoids are available.
