FEATURES AND BENEFITS Wafer & Lugged bodied butterfly valves for bi-directional use Dead end service are offered as standard in full ANSI Class and ratings (for lugged design only) The design of double offset sealing assures smooth, low torque operation and reduced seat wear. Extended neck length allows for adequate insulation and easily accessible for actuator mounting. Valve has a disc stop to prevent disc over travel, minimising possible seat damage whilst extending the service life of the valve actuator. The disc has been hydro-mechanically designed to maximise flow and minimise resistance, providing a high Cv value. The disc is spherically machined and the hand polished disc edge provides bubble tight shut off with minimal torque. One piece through stem design achieves high strength and positive disc control. Optional mounting plate is available to international standard. Non lubricated, coated bearings securely support the stem and minimise bearing friction and operating torque. V-packing is designed to give excellent resistance to pressure and seal effectively at both low and high pressures with little or no gland adjustment. Grafoil packing is also available for high temperature applications and are standard on the fire safe & metal seat units. All valves are tested for leakage at rated pressure, and zero defects are accomplished through a wide range of testing processes. Our spring loaded, easy grip lever is ergonomically designed for ease of operation. APPLICATIONS Challenger Valves and Actuators are the Right Choice for Valves and Actuation when quality matters.
