UNIGER TYPE ZS1 UniGear is the new name for the well-established ZS1 family of switchboards. part from still covering the previous fields of application, this new version of the product offers an unequalled range of new units and functions. Since its introduction in 1986, more than,000 units have been put into service worldwide and today, thanks to its continual development, we are pleased to present the latest result of BB s competence in the field of medium voltage metal-clad switchboard technology. UNIGER DOUBLE LEVEL From BB s experience in the use of double-level switchboards, UniGear is now enriched with this solution too. UniGear is a single busbar system switchboard in the double-level configuration. Each panel consists of two superimposed units which are completely independent of each other. Each unit can be fitted with either circuit-breakers or contactors, as well as all the accessories available for the traditional switchboard units. ll the significant components are identical to those used for the single-level units. In its middle part, the panel is provided with a compartment to take the auxiliary instruments of both the units. compartment for housing other instruments is available in the top part of the panel. The double-level units can be coupled directly with the single-level units, and there is the possibility of extension on both ends of the switchboard. The switchboard requires access from the rear for installation and maintenance procedures, whereas all the service operations are carried out from the front. UNIGER TYPE ZVC UniGear type ZVC has evolved from the innovative ZVC design and has been fully harmonised into the UniGear platform. Each unit is equipped with a fused withdrawable vacuum contactor. For feeders with high current, it is possible to fit the contactor with two fuses in parallel for each of the phases. The extreme compactness of the switchgear (each unit is only 325 wide) is one of its main feature. The units can be coupled directly with the main switchboard and there is the possibility of extension on both ends of the switchboard. Thanks to the compact dimensions of the units and to the possibility of installing the switchboard against the room walls, the footprint is notably reduced, even when using more than one contactor for complex motor starters. The use of medium voltage protection fuses greatly limits the fault let-through energy, making it possible to reduce the cross-section of the connection cables to the motor. This characteristic helps to safeguard the insulation levels and increase the electrical life of the cables themselves and of the machine they are connected to.
