Sample Itinerary: We start our journey with a two day crossing over the Drake Passage looking out for whales, Albatross and of course the first Iceberg. Or we fly in a few hours to Antarctica from Punta Arenas Chili. Once in Antarctica we enjoy daily excursions on land and participate in the activity program of diving, snorkeling or kayaking. Often we make Zodiac cruises through the ice and visit a scientific station.
Our ice strengthened and comfortable expedition vessel Polar Pioneer (54 pax) makes us feel at home and with a small group of people we make landings where others can t come. With its 72 meters it is smaller than most ships visiting Antarctica. On board we offer full board service and an educational presentation program. The open bridge allows to have a great view while cruising through a world of ice.
The ship carries a maximum of 54 passengers and 20 crew. The MV Polar Pioneer has a large bridge (where you are always welcome) and good open deck-viewing areas. It carries 7 Zodiacs, perfect for landings and wildlife viewing opportunities in otherwise inaccessible areas. Excellent cuisine, prepared by international chefs, is served in the dining room, which also acts as the lecture room. Other public areas include a lounge and bar, small library, infirmary and sauna.
