Place the ratchet mast into the base with the ratchets facing as shown below. Lift the release handle and insert the ratchet mast into the base. On the opposite side of the release handle is a tab. How to Operate Make sure the vehicle and Jack Stands are on a level stable surface. Lift the vehicle following the Car Jack instructions. Be sure to set the parking brake and block the unlifted tires. Consult the vehicle s owner s manual to determine the location of the support points and position the stands beneath the ideal points. DO NOT CRAWL UNDER THE VEHICLE TO POSITION THE STANDS. Raise the ratchet mast manually by pulling up on the mast to the highest position, making sure the ratchet tooth is fully engaged by the locking mechanism. Make sure both Jack Stands are at an equal height. Slowly lower the vehicle onto the stands making sure the load is centered on the saddles. Make sure the load and the Jack Stands are stable. When the stands are no longer needed, raise the vehicle using a Car Jack high enough to clear the Jack Stands. Remove the Jack Stands being careful not to crawl under the vehicle. Slowly lower the vehicle to the ground with the Car Jack. You may lower the ratchet masts by raising the release handle.
