MW accepts no liability for any damage or injury caused by non-compliance with the working steps and instructions. Moreover, any warranty claim made to MW G shall be invalid in the event of improper installation and handling which are not in accordance with the installation instructions. Installation information The accessory rear apron should be installed by two people. Installation of the rear apron is shown on the right-hand side of the vehicle.the working steps on the left-hand side of the vehicle must be performed accordingly in the same order. efore enamelling, place the accessory rear apron on the vehicle and adapt slightly, if necessary. For vehicles with 6-cylinder engines, the accessory rear apron must be adapted to the contours of the double exhaust pipe system before enamelling. The procedure is described in these installation instructions. Vehicles with trailer coupling: efore enamelling, a section must be cut out of the accessory rear apron for the trailer coupling. The areas to be cut out are marked on the rear apron. For vehicles with a removable trailer coupling, there is a specially developed cover, available under order number 82 64 9 46 905. However, this cover must be ordered separately. Safety information You must ensure that the type plate or stamp in the rear apron is not destroyed or made illegible by mechanical processing or enamelling. The type plate is stamped on the right-hand side and is legible from below. The installation of the rear apron reduces the possible load of the vehicle by approximately 3.5 kg. namelling information The rear apron is supplied primed and must be pretreated accordingly. Please observe the MW enamelling instructions when enamelling. Working process: The rear apron is made of PUR-R-RIM. MW acrylic enamel + 30% softface additive. Maximum temperature for stove-enamelling 40ºC. Cover all bearing surfaces during enamelling so that adhesion is not impaired. Cementing information Please follow the instructions enclosed with the cement set for handling the cleaner, primer and cement as well as the information on the cleaner, primer and cement. To achieve a high bond strength, the vehicle must have a room temperature of approximately 20ºC. Clean the bonding surfaces on the vehicle rear apron. The bonding surfaces must be absolutely dry, clean and free of wax and grease. Clean the bonding surfaces of the vehicle with the cleaner enclosed in the scope of supply immediately before cementing the rear apron in place. Rub all bearing surfaces (bonding surfaces) and the bonding groove of the rear apron well with abrasive paper, removing any existing enamel entirely, and clean with cleaner. fter applying the cement, the rear apron must be fitted within 5 minutes and any cement residue must be removed immediately using a spatula and cleaner. t a processing temperature of approximately 20ºC, the vehicle is ready to drive after approximately 5 hours. The bond will not withstand a car wash for 48 hours.
