Dash Disassembly Toyota Sequoia 2003-2007 Toyota Tundra 2003-2006 Tundra only: 1a. Remove the (3) climate control knobs by pulling straight outward. (Figure A) 2b. Remove (3) Phillips screws from behind knobs. (Figure A) 1. Position vents facing upward and remove (1) Phillips screw from each A/C vent. (Figure B) 2. Unclip and remove entire trim panel. (Figure C) Note: Sequoia: Including climate controls. 3. Remove (4) 10mm bolts to remove radio. (Figure D) 4. Unplug and remove radio. and then remove factory brackets from radio. 5. Retain brackets for use during kit assembly. Continue to kit assembly Tundra (Figure A) (Figure C) (Figure B) (Figure D) 2
Kit Assembly DIN radio provision with pocket 1. Remove the metal DIN sleeve from the aftermarket radio. 2. Slide the sleeve into the radio housing from the front. (Figure A) Note: A DIN spacer has been provided if extra depth is required. This will go into the radio housing before the sleeve. 3. Secure the sleeve to radio housing by bending the locking tabs outward. (Figure A) 4. Slide the radio into the sleeve until it snaps into place. (Figure B) 5. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Test the radio for proper operation. 6. Secure the completed assembly into the dash, and then reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly. (Figure A) (Figure B) 3
Kit Assembly ISO DIN radio provision with pocket 1. Remove the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio. 2. Secure the ISO DIN brackets to the radio with the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure A) 3. Slide the bracket/radio assembly into the radio housing until it snaps in. (Figure B) 4. Snap the ISO DIN trim plate onto the front of the completed assembly. (Figure B) 5. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Test the radio for proper operation. 6. Secure the completed assembly into the dash, and then reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly. (Figure A) (Figure B) 4
Kit Assembly ISO DDIN radio provision 1. Cut off the rear section of the ISO DDIN brackets as shown. (Figure A) 2. Secure the factory mounting brackets, and the ISO DDIN brackets to the radio with the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure B) Note: Remove the locating pins from the factory brackets with a grinder. 3. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra and/or AXXESS. Test the radio for proper operation. 4. Secure the completed assembly into the dash, and then reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly. (Figure A) (Figure B) 5
