The equipment is an enclosed, Class I switch mode power supply with universal AC input or Class I with DC input. With multiple DC voltage outputs for building-in. This report covers multiple models and all comments / tests apply to all models unless otherwise indicated. Testing was conducted on various models as indicated. 1.1.2; The unit is intended to operate at an altitude of up to 4000m. This equipment is intended to be operated at an altitude of up to 4000 m, so the clearance is multiplied by the altitude correction factor (1.29), specified in table A.2 of IEC 60664-1 2 nd Edition:2007-04. Refer to Tables 2.10.3 and 2.10.4. 1.5, 3.2.5; Power supply cord set. A power supply cord set is not provided with the power supply. A power supply cord set, complying with the national regulations of the country in which the product is to be sold, shall be provided with the end-use equipment. 1.7.2; Safety instructions. Instructions and equipment markings related to safety are to be provided in a language, which is acceptable in the country in which the equipment is to be sold. English language verified. 1.7.2.4; IT power distribution systems The equipment complies with the requirements for connection to the Norwegian IT power systems. The following information should be given (but is not required) in the installation instruction: This product is also designed for IT power system with Phase to Phase voltage 230V. 2.7.4; Number and location of protective devices. In Norway, IT power distribution system is used. Equipment with a single protective device is accepted in Norway. Other countries may have additional requirements. Equipment normal configuration is provided with a single fuse (F1) in the line phase of the input, however the power may be supplied with an optional fuse (F2) in the neutral phase of the input. 2.7.6; Warning to service personnel. PFE3000-S361 is exactly the same as PFE3000-12-069RA except for Multiple square holes on the side of the enclosure. Therefore only temperature data, table 4.5, was included to document this addition. Additionally the values of the Y2 capacitors and some of the bulk capacitors were changed, Table 5.1 was updated to document this change. Additionally, table 1.5.1 was added to this report. The subject models are component type power supplies, intended for building in, provided with an overall metal enclosure, housing components operating at hazardous and SELV voltages. Multiple hexagonal holes are provided on the front and square holes on the rear of the enclosure. Supplies can operate from AC input or DC Input, with DC outputs The following PWB assemblies are provided: Main PWB is installed on multiple stand-offs secured to the chassis bottom by machine screws; Control PWB is mounted vertically along the side of the main PWB, and connected to the Main PWB through multi-pin connectors. Insulating foil is provided between PWB assemblies and enclosure panels. The units are equipped with an input connector for power connection, fan and LED. The models covered in this report do not connect directly to Mains. They are provided with connectors that interface with the host system. Class B or permanent connection to Mains must be determined in the end use equipment. Model Differences: SPAFFIV-05G is exactly the same as PFE3000-12-069RA except for AC input voltage rating, V1 output voltage rating, wider chassis (refer to appended table 1.5.1) and different location of bonding conductor. The Clearance values of the Power Supply Unit (PSU) have been evaluated for an altitude of 4000 m, under IEC 60664-1:1992 Table A.2 (altitude correction factor is 1.29). 3. The ground path from the input connector to the PSU case meets protective bonding and has been evaluated at 80 A. 4. The PSU has been evaluated for use in Class I equipment. 5. The secondary outputs of the PSU are SELV. 6. V2 output is non-hazardous energy level. V1 output is at hazardous energy level. 7. The PSU has been evaluated for a TN (Including TN-S and TN-C) and TT and IT (Norway only) systems power source. 8. The PSU has been evaluated for use with a Phase Neutral power source. 9. All Isolating transformers isolation barrier insulation temperatures have been measured within the winding on the insulator. The internal temperature did not exceed the insulation Class limits for NORMAL operation and ABNORMAL operation. 10. The temperature of the Isolating Transformers, T4, T3/T9/T14/T15, T6/T7/T8/T11 isolation barrier shall be assessed in the end application. T4, T3/T9/T14/T15 employ an OBJY3 electrical insulation system designated Class F. Transformers, T6/T7/T8/T11, employs a Class B insulation system. 11. The connector current interruption test (Hot Plugging test) was conducted on the secondary connector of the PSU for 100 cycles. 12. The PSU is not intended for use in vehicles, on board ships or aircraft. 13. The front face of the PSU may be a part of the front of the end product. The front face of the PSU did pass the Impact Test. 14. Equipment is rated higher than 16A. Type of connection to Mains must be determine in the end use equipment. 15.
