Company ELPOWER is a young and dynamic company operating in the renewable sources industry. It deals with design, testing and post-sale assistance of inverters for grid connection of systems producing energy from renewable sources. ELPOWER has standardised and certified two classes of conversion systems: Double inverter (back to back) for applications (direct drive at variable speed) in which the electric generating system uses a permanent magnet synchronous generator mainly in the fields of mini wind, micro and mini hydroelectric sector, and cogeneration (micro gas and steam turbines) Single inverter for applications in the photovoltaic field ELPOWER is therefore the reference for turbine manufacturers and systems engineers working in the renewable sources field. It offers them products designed specifically for these applications built in a cabinet for outdoor installations and containing all the components in order to be the only interface between the generation system and the grid. 4
History 2007 ELPOWER was created out of the encounter between experience and skills which had been well established in the field of power electronics technology and plant engineering. It combines market knowledge, design skill and flair for innovation. 2008 ELPOWER had the system certified in compliance with ENEL DK 5940 standard. The system has a double (back to back) inverter which was immediately met with great enthusiasm on the mini wind turbine market; on the same technological base, the PV series was also certified. 2010 ELPOWER had its quality management system certified in compliance with UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008 standard. 2010 ELPOWER had a new and higher power range certified in the and PV lines in compliance with ENEL grid connection. In the meantime, it became a serious player also in the photovoltaic market. 2011 ELPOWER moved to its new base with 1,700 sq. m of floor space. 2012 ELPOWER certifies the whole series of converters in compliance with CEI 0-21 standard. 2013 ELPOWER certifies a new series of converters without transformer in compliance with CEI 0-21; TL. 2014 ELPOWER certifies the new range 40-100 TL in compliance with VDE AR N 4105 standard. 2015 ELPOWER certifies the new range 150-250 TL in compliance with CEI 0-16 standard 2015 ELPOWER gets the compliance with the G59-3 standard of the range 10-30 TL and 40-100 TL Mission ELPOWER s mission is to provide its clients with a comprehensive service characterized by flexibility and quality which are based on highly reliable products. Data displayed in real time: Display of values of the machine working status, among which: voltages and currents on grid and generator side, power, energy, temperatures, anemometer data, machine status and faults, event record, etc. Data logs on the pc: Saving data in csv file type containing all the values of interest on the inverter. The default sampling interval is 1 second and is customizable from 0.5 to 2 seconds. The log analysis allows to obtain detailed information during the whole time in which the machine remains in operation status. Setup reading and modification: It is possible to read and in case modify the set up of the machine and the torque curve to be followed by the generator. It is also possible to import and export configurations and torque curves. Updating inverter software: Updating and in case personalization of the software. Mail sending: Sending of mail messages about the machine status, indications of blocks, no grid, production levels, etc. Sms sending: in case of block of the machine and after consulting the production status. Remote access: it is possible a remote look up of the pc embedded by the supervisor. It is possible to access by remote mode (any internet spot, tablet or smartphone) to all data in real time, download data logs, modify the setup and the curve. 24
