4. BACKWALL INSTALLATION Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Backwall Installation Template Backwall Brackets eclipse cosmetic wall installation guide Backwall Panels Backwall Feeder Caps 1 Use the paper template provided to install the backwall brackets. The instructions are printed on the template. Populate the entire wall with brackets prior to the backwall panel installation. A bracket spacing guide is included on this page. BACKWALL BRACKET SPACING GUIDE Use the spacing guide on the right to add brackets in the same row. 2 Peg Backwall If necessary for fit, trim the connecting tabs on the first column (left side) of Backwall Panels. Cutting pliers are included in the OMF to trim the tabs. Tabs on the final panel section (right side) may also be trimmed to provide clearance for installation if needed. Place brackets this distance apart and in the same row of holes 5.875" 6

NOTE If the planogram used requires (2) different size backwalls, place the taller of the two sizes on the upper row and the shorter on the lower row. 3 Starting from the left side of the wall, install the lower panel by lowering the white plastic cross brackets on the back of the panel onto the open channels of the (2) lower brackets. 4 Next, install the upper panel in the same manner onto the upper (2) brackets and by inserting the (2) clips on the top of the lower panel into the slots on the bottom of the upper panel. 5 Install the second set of backwall panels in the same manner. Once assembled, slide this section into the first by snapping in the tabs on the left side of the panels into the adjacent openings. Do not join panels horizontally until the vertical pair is engaged! Proceed with remaining panels. 6 At the top of each backwall panel section snap on a feeder cap with the wire facing forward and towards you. 7

5. HEADER INSTALLATION WARNING The installation of the header requires heavy lifting. Two people may be required to install this unit to the gondola. NOTE The variously sized headers can be installed in any order along the wall. After completing the Header installation remove the masking from the diffuser panel. NOTE If your header is an unlit type, then only installation steps #1 & #2 are required. Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Headers (W/ White Rectangular Caps & Alignment Pins) 1 Starting at the left hand side of the wall, align the header brackets with the uppermost holes in the backwall slots. The header should be flush with top of backwall. Continue to install remaining headers aligned with the first. 2 In the endcaps of each header are (2) holes that align with the adjacent header. Insert the alignment pins and screw on caps in each set of holes to connect and align headers. Align metal surfaces when tightening. 8

3 Thread the wire located at the top of each backwall Feeder Cap through the openings in the top of the header and plug into each power supply box. For ease of installation, temporarily remove the diffuser panel if needed. Install the white rectangular caps in the openings in the top of the Header where the Feeder Plug wires enter. 4 At the right of each header is a cable with a male plug. Thread each cable through the square hole in the endcap of the header and plug into the female plug on the left side of the next header. 5 Thread the male plug in the Header on 6.A the right side of the wall through the hole in the top of the unit and plug it into an outlet or ceiling drop. If any or all of the headers are not lit, then proceed as follows to determine the cause: check that male plug at the header at the far right of the wall is plugged into an outlet. Check that the outlet is working. 9

6.B Check that the bulb is correctly installed in the tombstones, and that the bulb works by substituting another working bulb. 6.C Check that the male plug at the right of each header is threaded through the opening at the right of the header and that it is fully plugged into the female plug in the adjacent header. 10

6. SHOWCASE INSTALLATION NOTE The planogram may contain more than (1) Showcase display. The content for each Showcase will be different. Showcase Trays can be installed later in the process when the tray cartons have been opened for the general installation. Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Showcase Housing Showcase Graphic Folder Front Panel Graphic (With Cutout) Showcase Carrier Tray With Metal Peg Bracket Showcase Insert Tray / Hook Bar 1 Locate the Showcase Housing on the backwall in the location indicated on the rail report. Engage the housing brackets into the slotted holes on the backwall panel. Tilt frame back prior to installing. 2 Insert the Back Graphic Panel into the housing by engaging the upper channel first and then let drop into the lower channel located in the back of the housing interior. 11

3 Based on the perforations in the Back Panel Graphic, insert the Showcase Carrier Tray Metal Peg Bracket into the the back wall of the housing, aligning the pegs on the bracket with the holes in the graphic panel. 4 With the Showcase frame tilting back insert the Front Graphic Panel and then push the frame back into place to secure the graphic panel. 5 Assemble the Insert Tray(s) onto the Showcase Carrier Tray(s) by engaging the front tabs of the Insert Tray first and then snapping in the back of the tray. 6 Slide the Carrier Tray/ Insert Tray assembly onto the Metal Peg Bracket until the tray assembly fully covers the Metal Peg Bracket base. 12

7. CARRIER TRAY INSTALLATION NOTE The Carrier Tray will light up upon installation into the Backwall Panels. There is no danger of electrical shock when handling the lit trays because this part of the system is low voltage (12V). If you have an unlit type of unit, then proceed to item #13. Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Carrier Trays LIGHTING SYSTEM TEST The wall system is now in place. Prior to populating the backwall with trays, proceed through the following steps to test that the lighting system is working properly: 1 An Empty carrier tray can be used to 2 test each backwall panel. Install the Carrier Tray into each upper and lower backpanel by guiding the (2) tray brackets into the numbered slots on the panels and pushing the brackets downward to engage until locked into place. 13

3 If a Carrier Tray does not light up, then proceed as follows to determine the cause. Check the underside of the tray and confirm that there is an LED lighting strip installed. If the tray lights up in all backwall panels, then proceed to step #13. 4 Check that the Tray brackets are fully engaged in the Backwall slots and that the Tray is properly seated and level. 5 Check that the Tray brackets are properly 6 attached to the clips on the LED strip by turning the tray over, removing the UPC slide, and visually confirming that the bracket ends are lodged between the posts of the LED strips. If all the Carrier Trays do not light up in a single Backwall column, then proceed as follows to determine the cause: check that the male mini-plug of the Power Supply Box in the header directly above the column is plugged into the female mini-plug of the adjacent Power Supply Box, and that the plugs are fully engaged. 14

7 Check that the Molex plug that extends from the Backwall Feeder Cap through the opening in the top of the header is plugged into the top of the Power Supply Box. 8 Check that the Feeder Cap is securely snapped down, and if needed temporarily swap out a known working Feeder Cap to determine if original Feeder Cap is faulty. 9 Check that the Power Supply Box above 10 the column is working by replacing the unit with a known working unit. Remove the box by unplugging the mini-plug from the adjacent boxes in line and by unplugging the Molex plug on the top of the box that attaches it to the Feeder Cap. Unscrew the (2) thumbscrews that attach the box to the metal housing. To install, reverse the process. If all the Carrier Trays do not light up beneath a single Header, then proceed as follows to determine the cause: Check that the male mini-plug of the Power Supply Box in the header directly above the column at the right of the unlit section is plugged into the female mini-plug that extends from the far right of the fluorescent fixture, and that the plugs are fully engaged. 15

NOTE Silver Carrier Trays trays with a silver stripe on the bullnose are used in the Studio Secrets section only. Gold Carrier Trays trays with gold stripe on the bullnose are used in all locations except the Studio Secrets section. 11 Check that all the Molex plugs that extend from the Backwall Feeder Caps and thread through the opening in the top of the headers are plugged into the tops of the Power Supply Boxes. 12 If all the Carrier Trays do not light up and are vertically adjacent on a single Backwall Panel, then proceed as follows to determine the cause: Check that the upper and lower Backwall sections holding the trays are fully engaged at the center seam with the pins of the lower panel fully engaged with the socket of the upper panel. If necessary, check to see if the molded pins on the lower panel have a copper clip attached and are seated in place on the pin surface. 13 Identify the Carrier Tray positions 14 on the rail report and locate those positions on the numbered slots in the Backwall Panels. To install the bullnose graphic in the carrier tray, pull the bullnose lens towards you to expose the side of the lens. Slide the graphic in from the side below the cover lens. Push the bullnose assembly back into the tray. 16

8. INSERT TRAY INSTALLATION Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Insert Trays Space Saver Graphic Panels Shade Charts Shade Chips (where applicable) Carrier Tray Graphics 1 Insert the Space Saver Graphic Panel 2 into the front of the Insert Tray at the appropriate horizontal location, press down and snap into place. Refer to the rail report for positioning of each Insert Tray. 3 Slide appropriate graphic into the 4 front bullnose of Carrier Tray before installing the Insert Tray (see Carrier Tray Installation). Install the Insert Tray into the Carrier Tray by first hooking the front tabs on the bottom of the Insert Tray into the front slots of the Carrier Tray and then snapping the back of the Insert Tray downward to fully engage it into the Carrier Tray. 17

5 Install appropriate shade chart into the slot 6 located behind the chip rail on the front of the Insert Tray. Attach appropriate shade chips to the front rail of the Insert Tray by engaging the top of the chip onto the top of the chip rail and then snap the bottom of the chip onto the bottom of the chip rail. 7 To remove the chip, press on the top surface of the chip while pulling outward on the rib on the bottom surface of the chip. 8 To remove the insert tray apply pressure outward to the back side of the Carrier Tray near the tab location and lift Insert Tray upward. To remove a Space Saver Graphic Panel first remove the Insert Tray from the Carrier Tray. 18

9. CASSETTE INSERT INSTALLATION Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: 12W Cassette Insert Tray 12W Cassette Graphic Panels/OMF 1 There are (3) Graphic Panel types that 2 can be associated with the 12 W Cassette Insert Tray. Based on the planogram, attach the appropriate Graphic Panel type per location. Attach the Graphic Panel by inserting the pin on the end of the panel into the hole in the sidewall of the 12W Cassette Insert tray. Gently flex the panel and insert the pin on the other side into the opposite sidewall. 3 Insert the 12W Cassette Insert Tray assembly into a Carrier Tray by inserting the front tabs of the insert into the holes in the front of the Carrier Tray and snapping the back of the insert down into the carrier. 4 Locate the 12W Cassette assembly in the planogram and insert onto the wall. 19

10. HOOK BAR INSTALLATION NOTE The Hook Bar Trays have multiple parts and require assembly into the Carrier Trays. Individual Hook Bar Tray cartons may contain different quantities of product hooks based on the product reference. Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Hook Bar Trays 1 The Hook Bar Tray riser panel attaches to the back of the Carrier Tray. Insert the front legs of the Hook Bar Tray into the slots at the rear top of the Carrier Tray and push the top of the riser panel back to engage the (2) snap tabs on the bottom of the riser panel to the underside of the Carrier Tray. 2 The Carrier Tray top surface is covered with a Floor Panel. Insert the front of the Floor Panel into the front slots on the Carrier Tray and then snap down the back of the Floor Panel into place. 3 Associate the numbers on the front of the riser panel with the planogram and insert the product hooks accordingly. Engage the hooks by threading the base of the hook through the riser panel slot and rotate to an upright position, guiding the point on the base of the hook into the proper v-shaped slot in riser face. 20

11. GRAPHIC PANEL INSTALLATION NOTE There are a variety of Graphic Panel sizes, but they all are installed in a similar manner. Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Graphic Panels 1 Each Graphic Panel carton contains metal brackets to be installed in the back of the panel. Insert the brackets into the sockets in the back of the panels. The brackets can only be locked in one orientation. The teeth of the brackets should point downward and opposite the top of the panel. 2 Identify each Graphic Panel in the rail report to establish the assigned installation location. 3 Slide appropriate graphic into the 4 Graphic Panel assembly. Some panels are top-mounting and others are side-mounting. Install the Graphic Panel into the Backwall Panel by guiding the (2) brackets into the numbered slots on the backwall and pushing the brackets downward to engage until locked into place. 21

12. SPECIALTY TRAYS INSTALLATION eclipse cosmetic wall installation guide Keratin Tray Assembly Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Keratin Tray Assembly 1 The Keratin Tray Assembly has a special carrier tray with a slotted floor and comes with the Keratin 1W Insert tray already installed. Snap the Keratin Space Saver Panel into the slotted floor per the planogram. 2 The Keratin Carrier Tray installs into the Backwall Panel the same way as the standard Carrier Tray. 22

Eye Makeup Remover Assembly Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Eye Makeup Remover Assembly Absolute Serum Assembly 1 The Eye Makeup Remover assembly 2 includes a Hook Bar Riser, a Slotted Floor Plate, and an Insert tray. Install the Hook Bar Riser into a Carrier Tray (see Hook Bar section) 3 Insert the Slotted Floor Plate / EMUR Insert Tray assembly into the Carrier Tray by first inserting the front tabs into slots in the front of the Carrier Tray. The exposed ends of headers receive a black vinyl cover. Align the cover, which has (4) holes, with the (4) holes in the endcap of the header. Insert the black clips into the holes to secure cover. 25

14. LIT DIVIDER INSTALLATION eclipse cosmetic wall installation guide Locate the following items in the cartons on the pallet: Lit Divider Panels Lit Divider Brackets/Left,Right & Middle Lit Divider Under Tray Connectors NOTE Do not remove protective blue film from divider until after installation. 1 Locate your first Lit Divider & Under Tray Connector. Working from the left side of the planogram, locate the coordinating Left Panel Brackets (3) and attach brackets to the Eclipse wall standards (top, middle & bottom). The brackets are dedicated for LEFT, MIDDLE, and RIGHT panel applications. Please note that you can install these brackets in any open standard locations. 2 Place the Lit Divider Panel into brackets and insure that the top of the divider is flush to the underside of your L Oreal Paris Header. The pigtail wire must be at the bottom of the panel. By tightening the thumbscrews on the brackets you will affix the divider to the bracket. 3 Following installation, remove the 4 protective blue film. With one hand place pressure on the divider towards the back wall and simply peel the film towards you to remove the film from the acrylic. Be careful not to pull the panel out of the brackets. Align the Under Tray Connector to the underside of the Eclipse Carrier Tray and snap into place, with the black plug/outlet facing you. 26

5 Plug the DC Connection wire extending from the bottom of your divider panel into the Under Tray Connector. Simply plug in and your divider will now be powered when your wall is lit. 6 Repeat this process for the left, right and middle lit divider positions. 27

15. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS Before any cleaning unplug the main power cord from the wall outlet Dust the wall unit at frequent intervals with a dusting tool or compressed air Clean all plastic parts with a damp soft cloth Avoid letting liquids come into contact with electrical, lighting, and metal parts 28

FOR ALL ECLIPSE WALL INSTALLATIONS: IMPORTANT STEPS TO TAKE Sort boxes in advance and when working as a team, assign two people to open boxes while others work on removing the System 2000 wall. Ensure when removing System 2000 wall that all is placed in a secure location and kept in column order; do not dismantle. Remove all pegged items and place in shopping cart; do not remove product from peg hooks. Do not remove actual fixtures from their sleeves as you will need the labels to refer to on the sleeves to properly position the carrier trays/fixtures on the wall according to the rail report Designate 1 person from the team to be the liaison with store personnel and to transit fixtures and garbage to/from the floor and back room. Locate the Open Me First carton (an oversized box with pink lettering & a blue stripe & 2 fluorescent labels) before anything else. This box will contain your Eclipse Installation guide and Back Wall Template amongst other items. (IF the template is not in the Open Me First carton, please locate a standard brown box that should have a label on the outer end indicating Back Wall Template Enclosed ) When installing the back wall, make sure to insert the lit divider bracket and then begin with the installation of the back wall while remembering that another lit divider bracket will be placed at the far right side of the back wall as well in addition to lit dividers within the set. Open each box first so you know exactly what you have and can organize everything in order of what you will use first. Tape rail report (planogram) pages on back wall or base deck by column so you can easily refer to them while placing the carrier and component trays. Use a highlighter to mark SILVER across the Studio Secrets columns to ensure you use silver carrier trays in that section. Ensure there is an electrical outlet available for lit componentry. If there is not a working outlet to use, please alert the store/department manager as well as your district manager. All stores should be lit and if there is an issue with available electricity, we would like to be made aware ASAP in order to address and resolve with the account HQ. After installing the back wall, top caps, feeder caps and top headers, check panel connections using one carrier tray in order to test connectivity for each of the top and bottom column panels. Carrier trays come in Gold and Silver. Silver is used in Studio Secrets columns. The shading is hard to tell apart. DO NOT REMOVE/UNPACK carrier trays until you are ready to put them directly to the wall. There are small labels on the bottom/side corner of the boxes the carrier trays ship in which indicate whether they are gold or silver. As you open each box, as an aid, mark the inner flap of the box with GOLD or SILVER to ensure proper wall placement. Insert lit dividers after carrier trays Do not remove Eclipse component fixtures from their sleeves as you will need the labels on the sleeves to identify and properly position the fixtures on the wall according to the rail report. Some labels will include the product name (ex. TM CONC = True Match Concealer) ~ place these component trays directly to the wall. For labels that indicate ONLY the part number, you may want to sort these trays into stacks based on the last 3 numbers 100, 200 600 series. This will make it more efficient to call off numbers from the rail report to place to the wall.

Example of rail report showing fixture description and part number: When installing the component tray into the carrier tray, always engage the front tabs ( feet ) into the front of the carrierr tray and then lower the back of fixture to snap firmly in place. Separate all bull nose graphics by category: face, eye, lip, Studio Secrets and distribute to team members to allow for placement efficiency. The blue film that protects the mirror on the True Match "Help Me Find Your Shade" looks like it is part of the panel since the artwork closest to the film is also blue. This blue film is protecting the mirror during shipping and should be removed during the Eclipse installation. ALL yellow tape is to be removed from any trays or signs. When reviewing rail reports a picture reflecting slant front fixtures are carrier trays and the pictures reflecting a flat front are that which are a headers and/or graphics. Examples: Carrier Tray Graphic/Headers
