Grabs DHG, a series of BAUER diaphragm wall grab which is rope suspended and operated hydraulically. The 80 / 120 t closing force and 6~10 seconds shovel opening / closing time are activated by a cylinder, which is installed vertically inside of base body. High closing forces in combination with possibility of multiple grabbing at the trench bottom result in high excavation rates even in very dense and very hard soil strata. Grab Control System GCS The GCS grab surveying system continuously monitors the verticality of diaphragm wall trenches during excavation. An inclinometer for measuring the inclination of the trench is built into the grab. Data transfer from the grab to the operator's cabin is by heavy-duty electrical cable, which is automatically reeled off and on by a hydraulically operated cable recoil system. By using heavy-duty electronic components for data collection, processing and visualization, operation of grab is safeguarded even under extreme conditions. Data are visualized on a 10 inches touch-screen monitor with a luminous intensity of 350 candelas. In order to increase the measuring accuracy, it is recommended to carry out a separate survey of trench after it's completion. All result can be printed out on a printer. (The GCS system is optional.) Deviation on the excavation monitor Correct trench deviation by steering flaps The new developing DHG/SF & DHG/CF, equipped with Flap Control System, which allowed operator reading the deviation for both X and Y directions from excavation monitor in cabin, and adjust the grab position instantly through 8 or 12 numbers flaps to correct the deviation. Optional grab turning device GV 3 GV 3 in 90 grab width 600 mm In pulley operation 800 mm GV 3 in 25 grab width 600 mm BAUER patented turning device GV 3, the latest development for diaphragm wall grab system, which is hydraulically operated with a very compact dimension. Especially in limit working space, GV 3 turning device allows BAUER GB rigs to reach diaphragm wall panels at almost any difficult position, such as corner panels or cut-off wall panels on the top of dam. In complicate soil condition, GV 3 can rotate grab body 180 any time to achieve better verticality control.
