Axial Flow Fans

Section 4 Fläkt Woods offers a wide range of axial flow fans for general air movement and special applications such as emergency high temperature smoke extract and pressurisation. ATEX fans for explosive atmospheres and multistage options for increased pressure development. All fans are tested to the latest internationally recognised standard IS05801 Part 1 (1997), installation category D (AMCA approved) for aerodynamic performance and BS848 Part 2 (1985) for acoustic performance. Coupled with the above fan diameters, the adjustable pitch Aerofoil impeller gives the exact performance required, with a non overloading fan characteristic. Axial Fans - Section 4

Section 4 - Aerofoil - JM Aerofoil

Aerofoil - JM Aerofoil Section 4 Eleven sizes are offered from 315mm to 1000mm diameter. Volume flows of up to 19m 3 /s Static pressures up to 800 Pa High energy efficiency Sizes 31JM - (315mm) to 100JM - (1000mm). Larger sizes up to 2800mm diameter are also available. Please enquire. Fan Performance All fans are tested to the latest internationally recognised standard IS05801 Part 1 (1997), installation category D (AMCA approved) for aerodynamic performance and BS848 Part 2 (1985) for acoustic performance. Coupled with a wide range of fan diameters, the adjustable pitch Aerofoil impeller gives the exact performance required, with a non overloading fan characteristic. Impellers A unique high efficiency aerofoil section blade with a purposely smoothed hub and clamp plate for adjustable pitch angle availability. The Fläkt Woods impellers are all high pressure die cast to offer thin aerofoil sections for low generation of noise. Every cast aluminium component is X-ray examined using Real Time Radiography inspection prior to assembly. The maximum pitch angles shown allow for speed control by frequency inverter (3ph only). Motors Low installed noise levels Motor protection IP55 All casings are hot dipped galvanised Overheat protection is fitted as standard Inverter controllable All motors are totally enclosed air stream rated class F insulation. Constructed from aluminium or cast iron as standard with special T slot or pad mounted fixings. Single speed motors are suitable for speed control by voltage regulation where indicated. Three phase motors are suitable for use with frequency inverters. Two speed motors where available are pole change type. Suitable for horizontal through to vertical shaft operation. Supplied IP55, with removable drain plugs. Sealed for life bearings lubricated with wide temperature range grease. The BT, CT, F22 and PM112 motors are all fitted with overheat protection thermostat as standard. D motors are fitted with Thermistor OHP. These motors are suitable for inverter speed control down to 20% of full speed. Section 4 - Aerofoil - JM Aerofoil Electrical Supply 220-240 V / 50 Hz / 1 φ 380-420 V / 50 Hz / 3 φ Temperature Range -40 C to 50 C as standard. (All motors are not suitable for starting at temperatures lower than -20 C.) Fans that include BT or CT motors can be continuously operated at temperatures up to 70 C. When these fans are operating in excess of 50 C they should be run at full speed only. Other fans can be operated up to 70 C with appropriate deration of motors. Most standard 3φ fans can be offered for a one off emergency operation at 200 C for 2 hours. Casings JM Aerofoil fans are available in either a long cased form, complete with an externally mounted pre-wired electrical terminal box, or short cased for duct or plate installation. Casings are spun from sheet steel with integral pre-drilled and radiused inlet flanges. The galvanised finish gives a high resistance to corrosion and is ideal for external as well as internal use. Accessories Silencers, Mounting feet, Vibration isolators, Matching flanges, Flexible connectors, Air operated non return dampers, Guards, Bell mouth inlets. Section 4 - Aerofoil - JM High Temperature

Aerofoil - JM High Temperature Section 4.2 Designed for emergency ventilation of hot fire smoke applications 300 C or 400 C for two hours operation, CE marked to EN12101-3 2002 Sizes from 315mm to 1000mm Sizes 31JM - (315mm) to 100JM - (1000mm). Other sizes are available on request. Fan Performance All fans are tested to the latest internationally recognised standard IS05801 Part 1, installation category D for aerodynamic performance and BS848 Part 2 (1985) for acoustic performance. Coupled with a wide range of diameters, the adjustable pitch Aerofoil impeller gives the exact performance required, with a non overloading fan characteristic. Impellers A unique high efficiency aerofoil section blade with a purposely smoothed hub and clamp plate for adjustable pitch angle availability. The Fläkt Woods impellers are all high pressure die cast to offer thin aerofoil sections for low generation of noise. Every cast aluminium component is X-ray examined using Real Time Radiography inspection prior to assembly. The maximum pitch angles shown allow for speed control by frequency inverter. Motors Fläkt Woods H.T. Series fans utilise a totally enclosed squirrel cage motor. The grades of motor insulation have been selected to meet the specific requirements for each of the H.T. Categories. These motors are suitable for inverter speed control down to 20% of full speed. Electrical Supply 400 V / 50 Hz / 3 φ Temperature Range All casings are hot dipped galvanised Volume flows up to 21m 3 /s Static pressures up to 600 Pa Motor protection IP55 Inverter controllable for ambient temperatures Fans are tested in compliance with high temperature test standard directive 89/106/EEC to EN 12101-3, and are fully CE marked accordingly. Fläkt Woods H.T. Series fan motors are sized to run the fans continuously at normal ambient temperatures (-40 C to 50 C), as well as operating at their emergency high temperature category. (All motors are not suitable for starting at temperatures lower than -20 C.). Section 4 - Aerofoil - JM High Temperature Most Standard 3 φ fans can be offered for a one off emergency operation at 200 C for 2 hours. Note: During emergency use inverter should be overridden for full speed. Casings JM HT Aerofoil fans are available in either a long cased form, complete with an externally mounted pre-wired electrical terminal box. Casings are spun from sheet steel with integral pre-drilled and radiused inlet flanges. The galvanised finish gives a high resistance to corrosion and is ideal for external as well as internal use. Aerofoil - JM Multi-Stage Section 4.7 315mm - 800mm diameter Volume flow up to 9 m 3 /s Static pressures up to 1500 Pa High energy efficiency All casings are hot dipped galvanised Sizes 31JM - 315mm, 35JM - 355mm, 40JM - 400mm, 45JM - 450mm, 50JM - 500mm, 56JM - 560mm, 63JM - 630mm, 80JM - 800mm. Fan Performance All fans are tested to the latest internationally recognised standard IS05801 1997, installation category D for aerodynamic performance and BS848 Part 2 (1985) for acoustic performance. Coupled with the above fan diameters, the adjustable pitch Aerofoil impeller gives the exact performance required, with a non overloading fan characteristic. Impellers A unique high efficiency aerofoil section blade with a purposely smoothed hub and clamp plate for adjustable pitch angle availability. The Fläkt Woods impellers are all high pressure die cast to offer thin aerofoil sections for low generation of noise. Every cast aluminium component is X-ray examined using Real Time Radiography prior to assembly. The maximum pitch angles shown allow for speed control by frequency inverter. Motors All motors are totally enclosed air stream rated class F insulation. Constructed from aluminium as standard with special T slot or pad mounted fixings. Single speed motors are suitable for speed control by frequency inverters. Suitable for horizontal through to vertical shaft operation. Supplied IP55, with removable drain plugs. Sealed for life bearings lubricated with wide temperature range grease. Motors are fitted with thermostat overheat protection as standard. These motors are suitable for inverter speed control down to 20% of full speed. Low installed noise levels Motor protection IP55 Overheat protection fitted as standard Inverter controllable Section 4 - Aerofoil - JM Multi-Stage Electrical Supply 380-420 V / 50 Hz / 3 φ Temperature Range -40 C to 50 C as standard. (All motors are not suitable for starting at temperatures lower than -20 C.) Fans that include BT or CT motors can be continuously operated at temperatures up to 70 C. When these fans are operating in excess of 50 C they should be run at full speed only. Other fans can be operated up to 70 C with appropriate deration of motors. Most standard 3φ fans can be offered for a one off emergency operation at 200 C for 2 hours. Casings JM Aerofoil fans are available long cased, complete with an externally mounted pre-wired electrical terminal box. Casings are spun from sheet steel with integral pre-drilled and radiused inlet flanges. The galvanised finish gives a high resistance to corrosion and is ideal for external as well as internal use. Accessories Silencers, Mounting feet, Vibration isolators, Matching flanges, Flexible connectors, Air operated non return dampers, Guards, Bell mouth inlets. 108
