1. Hood Switch Confirmation (a) Vehicles with Automatic Transmission should be placed in Park and have the Parking Brake set before disconnecting the Battery 10mm Socket Negative Battery Cable (b) Remove the Negative Battery Cable. (Fig. 1-1) (1) Protect the Fender before starting. (2) Note the Battery Cable position, as it will be reinstalled in the same position. Fig. 1-1 DO NOT TOUCH THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL. VEHICLE S WITHOUT HOOD SWITCH ONLY 2. Jumper Connector Installation (a) Remove Vehicle s Grille. (Fig 2-1) (1) Add Protection Tape around the surrounding area. (2) Remove 4 Bolts (3) Remove 2 Clips (4) Pull the bottom of the Vehicle s Grille in order as shown. Unhook top side of grille from Bolt Anchors. 10 mm socket Fig. 2-1 Page 5 of 19 pages

(b) Disconnect the Vehicle s Pre-Connector from the Dummy Connector. (Fig. 2-2) (1) Discard the Dummy Connector. Fig. 2-2 (c) Install the Jumper Connector to the Vehicle s Hood Switch Pre-Connector and attach to Vehicle. (Fig. 2-3) (d) Reinstall the Vehicle s Grille Fig. 2-3 (1) Reinstall top edges of the Vehicle s Grille. (2) Snap Vehicle Grille s bottom Clips in place. Nylon Panel Removal Tool 3. Vehicle Disassembly Step Cover (a) Remove the Driver s Step Cover. (Fig. 3-1) (1) Begin by protecting the Vehicle Interior with Blankets. Fig. 3-1 (b) Remove the Driver s Cowl Cover. (Fig. 3-4) (1) Add Protection Tape to the Center Console as shown. Fig. 3-4 (e) Remove hood release cable from release lever. (Fig. 3-5) Fig. 2-3 3-5 10 mm socket (1) Move cable out from hood release lever assembly. (2) Move cable to the slot side of the hood release lever assembly. (3) When the cable is clear of the hood release lever retaining area, move the cable towards the lever and disconnect the inner cable end from the lever. Page 7 of 19 pages

(Steps a-b) (a) Push on the Shift Release with taped screwdriver and Shift to Neutral. (Fig. 4-1) Fig. 4-1 Nylon Panel Removal Tool (b) Remove the Center Cluster below the Climate Control Console. (Fig. 4-1) FOR VEHICLES WITH COLUMN MOUNT AUTOMATIC SHIFT LEVERS ONLY. (Step c) (c) Remove the Center Cluster below the Climate Control Console. (Fig. 4-2) Fig. 4-2 (d) Remove the Knockout Cover from the Center Cluster. (Fig. 4-3) (1) Disconnect the vehicle s 4P Pre-Connector (2) Discard the Knockout Cover. (f) Connect the Vehicle 4P Pre-Connector to the GBS Microphone (Fig. 4-5) (g) Re-Install the Center Cluster. Fig. 4-5 Flat Blade Screwdriver GBS ECU 5. GBS ECU Preparation & Installation (a) Verify that the GBS ECU s sensitivity is set to 5. (Fig. 5-1) Fig. 5-1 Fig. 5-2 10mm Socket, Extension Remove Nuts (x2) Vehicle Brace Vehicle J/B CAUTION: SHARP METAL EDGES FOR STEPS B-H (b) Remove 2 Nuts from the Vehicle Brace near the Drivers Side J/B. (Fig. 5-2) (c) Pull the Brace away from the Vehicle Reinforcement. (Fig. 5-2) (1) Do not remove the Brace from the studs. (d) Install Bracket and GBS ECU. 10mm Socket, Extension Reinstall Reinstall Fig. 5-4 M6 Flange Nut GBS ECU (e) Use the M6 Flange Nut from the supplied kit to secure the ECU Bracket in place. (Fig. 5-4) (f) Re-secure the Vehicle Brace by reinstalling 2 Nuts. (Fig. 5-4) (1) Verify that the Bracket is secure. (g) Locate the Vehicle s White 8P Connector near the Driver s Side J/B Area. (Fig. 5-5) (1) Remove the Tape securing the Connector. 8P Connector Fig. 5-5 8P Connector (h) Connect the Vehicle Harness's White 8P Connector to the GBS ECU. 6. Registration Preparation (a) Complete the reassembly of the vehicle. (1) Reconnect any disconnected connectors. (2) Verify the panels fit together properly with no uneven gaps between them. (3) Verify Foot Well Lamp is secured into Lower Finish Panel. (b) Install the Short Pin (Fig. 6-1) Install Short Pin Fig. 6-1 Negative Battery Cable (c) Temporarily reconnect the Negative Battery Terminal. (Fig. 6-2) DO NOT TOUCH THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL. Vehicle Diagnostic Port 7. Registration w/techstream Notebook. Techstream Notebook CAUTION: Techstream Lite will not work for this section, use the Techstream Notebook ONLY. (a) Connect the Techstream Notebook to the Vehicles Diagnostic Port. (Fig. 7-1) Fig. 7-1 (b) Start the TIS Techstream Application by clicking on the shortcut located on the Desktop. (c) Use the Vehicle Key to turn the Vehicles Ignition Switch to ON. (d) Click Connect to Vehicle. (Fig. 7-2) Fig. 7-2 (e) Confirm that the information displayed on the Vehicle Connection Wizard is correct for the vehicle. If not verify that the Techstream is properly connected. 8. Warning Label Installation. For US Vehicles use the English Labels and Dispose of the Spanish Labels. For Mexico Vehicles use the Spanish Labels and Dispose of the English Labels. Clear Tape Etching (a) Use Household Glass Cleaner to clean the inside of the Front Door Window. (Fig. 8-1) Molding Etching (b) Use a piece of Clear Tape to lift the Label from the protective backing. CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface. Fig. 8-1 Molding (c) Attach the V5 Window Label. (Fig. 8-1) NOTE: Make sure to Align according to Etching or Other Label. (Fig. 8-1) FOR B-CAB VEHICLES ONLY. (Steps d) (d) Make sure to Align Label parallel to the ground. REPEAT: steps a c with the other Window. Fig. 9-1 Torque Wrench, 10mm Socket Negative Battery Cable 9. Complete the Installation (a) Position the Negative Battery Cable at the original factory position. (Fig. 9-1) (1) Tighten the Nut to 52 in lbf (5.9 N m) DO NOT TOUCH THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL. (b) Clean up and remove any trash. (c) Place the Owner's Guide sealed in the bag, in the Glove Box. (d) Discard the GBS Owners Guide. Page 15 of 19 pages

Accessory Function Checks Perform 1 Press and release the remote control s lock button to start the system s arming process. Look For The turn signal lights flash once. All doors lock. The security LED lights up. 2 Wait 30 seconds. Security LED starts flashing; the system is now armed. 3 Press and release the remote control s unlock button to disarm the system. The turn signal lights flash twice. The driver s door unlocks. The Security LED stops flashing. Open the driver s door, insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to ON. Roll down all the windows, remove the key and exit the vehicle. 4 Arm and disarm the system with the remote again, then wait 30 seconds. 5 Press and release the remote control s unlock button again to stop the arming process. 6 Insert the key into the driver s door key cylinder and turn it toward the front of the vehicle to start the arming process. The doors automatically relock. The system automatically starts the arming process. Refer to step 3 All doors lock. The Security LED lights up. 7 Wait 30 seconds. Security LED starts flashing; the system is now armed. 8 Reach inside and manually unlock the driver s door to trigger an alarm. 9 Manually unlock the driver s door again and hold it unlocked, open the door, then sit in the driver s seat. 10 Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to START to stop the alarm. The driver s door automatically relocks. The horn sounds repeatedly. The headlights flash repeatedly. The turn signal lights flash repeatedly. The Security LED lights up. The driver s door lock attempts to lock repeatedly. The horn continues to sound repeatedly. The headlights and turn signal lights continue flashing. The Security LED remains on. The horn stops sounding. All the lights stop flashing and/or turn off. The Security LED turns off. The starter cranks and the engine starts. Turn the key back to LOCK, remove it, and then exit the vehicle. 11 With the door open, press the lock switch on the door to lock the doors, then close the door to start the system s arming process. All doors lock. The Security LED lights up. 12 Wait 30 seconds. Security LED starts flashing; the system is now armed. Issue: B 08/12/13 Page 16 of 19 pages

TOYOTA TUNDRA 2014 TVIP V5 CHECKLIST these points MUST be checked to ensure a quality installation. 13 Reach inside and manually unlock the front passenger s door to trigger an alarm. 14 Press and release the remote control s unlock button to stop the alarm. 15 Press and release the remote control s lock button to start the system s arming process, then wait 30 seconds until the system is armed. 16 Unlock and open one of the rear passenger doors to trigger an alarm. (if available) 17 Press and release the remote control s unlock button to stop the alarm. 18 Repeat the above steps with the other rear passenger door. (if available) The front passenger s door automatically relocks. The horn sounds repeatedly. The headlights flash repeatedly. The turn signal lights flash repeatedly. The Security LED lights up. The horn stops sounding. All the lights stop flashing. The Security LED stops flashing. Refer to steps 1 and 2. Refer to step 13. Refer to Step 14 Refer to steps 1, 2, and 13. Roll up all windows, remove the key and exit the vehicle. 19 Press and release the remote control s lock button to start the arming process. Refer to step 1. 20 Wait 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, the Security LED starts flashing; the system is now armed. Perform the following check in a temperature-controlled environment. (50-90 F) 21 With the tip of a key, or Striker Tool pulled all the way out (PPO only), tap the center of the driver s door window to trigger the alarm. 22 Insert the key into the driver s door key cylinder and turn it toward the back of the vehicle to stop the alarm. The horn sounds repeatedly. The headlights flash repeatedly. The turn signal lights flash repeatedly. The Security LED lights up. Refer to Step 10 NOTE: If the alarm still does not trigger during the section test, increase the GBS sensitivity to the next setting and test again. NOTE: If you do not disarm the system, the alarm will last 20 seconds. It is not necessary to check the alarm duration. Vehicle Appearance Check Perform After accessory installation and removal of protective cover(s), perform a visual inspection of the vehicle. Look For Ensure no damage (including scuffs and scratches) was caused during the installation process. (For PPO installations, refer to TMS Accessory Quality Shipping Standard.) Cruise Control Light (if equipped) Prior to TPMS activation and Pre-delivery Service (PDS) of the Vehicle the TPMS light will blink when IG is turned on. After TPMS activation and PDS of the Vehicle the TPMS light will illuminate for a few seconds and go off when IG is turned on. Using a Mirror or Assistant check the following.
