3. TURNING ON THE POWER 1. Plug the power plug into the power socket. 2. Turn the lock switch to the open position. 3. Turn on the power switch on the back of the unit. When the operating lock switch is pointing toward lock, the power switch cannot be moved to the on position. After each use. Be sure to turn the power switch to off. To prevent children from using this unit, lock the power switch by moving the operating lock switch to the lock position. As a further caution, unplug the power cord from the power socket after each use. Timer When the on/off button is pushed, a timer begins to prevent overuse. After approximately 15 minutes, time expires and the massage wheel goes into storage position. - 6 -

5. OPERATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC VALVES AND AIR BAGS 5.1 Operation of Electromagnetic valves and Air bags Air massage is operated driving the Pump unit x 1pc and 3-way 3-roll electromagnetic valve x 3pcs. 1. When the operation stops, the Pump and all the Electromagnetic valves are OFF. 2. While the Reclining lift motor and the Ottoman lift motor operate, the control of air stops. (Air is in the ventilation.)however, when the leg stretch operates, the Lift motor operates controlling the air. 3. When in the operation by the Controller Off/on switch, and the Electric reclining lift and the Electric ottoman lift are operated, the Pump stops. (The air pressure is maintained.) - 8 -

6. DISASSEMBLY 6.1 Removing the Armrest right * EP-MA20 does not have the Armrest air function. 1.Remove two Caps and unscrew two Screws inside. * EP-MA50 has one Cap and one Screw. 2.Unplug Air plugs one each from both sides. 3.Lift the Armrest and remove it. - 9 -

6.2 Removing the Outside parts * EP-MA20 does not have the Armrest air function. 1.Proceed all the procedures of 6.1. Removing the Armrest. 2.Remove 10 Push-turn rivets, and remove the Lift protection sheet. Caution in assembly Be aware that six Push-turn rivets (*) are different from others. 3.Remove two Push-turn rivets on the Under cover right. Similarly on the right side, too. 4.Remove five Push-turn rivets, and remove the Under cover right/left. Remove the Power source switch box before removing the Under cover right. - 10 -

5.Unscrew the Screws, which fix the Outside cover (1ps outside, 3pcs inside, 2pcs on the back). When unscrew the Screw outside, slide the Under cover. 6.Remove the Outside cover to the outside. Caution in assembly Be sure to check if two Air hoses are in the ribs firmly and they are not bent when installing the Outside cover. - 11 -

Install the Power cord as the figure. 7.Unscrew five Screws and remove the Armrest fixing frame from the Inside cover. 8.Remove the Seat hose and the Right connecting hose from the joint. 9.Unscrew three Screws, and remove the Inside cover from the Under pipe. - 12 -

Caution in assembly When installing the Inside cover, install the Air hose as the figure not to make it bent or hooked. Caution in assembly When installing the Under cover, be sure to check if Air hoses are not hooked nor bent, and move the Ottoman to check if no hoses are pulled. And install the Controller cord as the figure. 10.Unscrew six Screws, and remove the Leg cover right/left. 11.Unscrew six Screws, and remove the Seat rear cover. - 13 -

12.Pull off the Pins and the Snap pins, which fix the Castors, and remove the both Castors. Caution in assembly Be careful of the directions of the Snap pins when installing the Castors. - 14 -

6.3 Removing the Under box EP-MA50 1.Proceed all the procedures of 6.2. Removing the Outside parts. 2.Put the Ottoman on the 30cm-height box. 3.Unscrew one Screw on the top/right of the Under box, and unscrew two Screws and remove the Cord installing fitting. Slide the Under box top/right and unhook it. 4.Remove the Rod holder from the Under box top/right. - 15 -

5.Remove all the Hoses connected to the Under box top/left. 6.Unscrew three Screws on the Under box top/left. (You can remove the Under box top/left.) Be careful of the allocation of the Hoses when installing them. - 16 -

7.Unscrew three Screws on the Under box bottom 8.Cut each Cable ties, which fix the Connecting cord for Electromagnetic valve. 9.Disconnect Connectors (CN550, CN551, CN552).(Only CN550 for EP-MA20) 10.Unscrew six Screws, which fix the Under box bottom and the Electromagnetic valves. (Two Screws for EP-MA20) Caution When cutting Cable ties, be careful not to damage Connecting cords or Hoses. ( Due to the vibration, it may lead to the disconnection in the worst case.) Caution -Be sure to allocate wires so that the Connecting cord for electromagnetic valve does not touch the outside edge of each Electromagnetic valves. -Allocate the wires of Pump unit as follows: (Wires may be disconnected if they touch the Under box top/left in the worst case.) - 17 -

6.4 Removing the Rear cover 1.Unscrew two Screws on the Rear cover top and two Screws on the Rear cover bottom, and pull off the Rear cover top to your direction. 2.Remove two Screw-rivets on the Rear cover bottom, and pull off the Rear cover bottom. Caution in installing When installing the Rear cover bottom, hook the Hook to the Rear cover fixing plate firmly. - 18 -

6.5 Disassembling the Massage wheel cover * EP-MA20 does not have the Hip hoses and the Hip air bags. 1.Proceed all the procedures of 6.4. Removing the Rear cover. (Massage mechanism block moves to the bottom.) 2.Remove the Massage wheel cover from the Rear board with the V-shaped tool. (Four hooks on the top, three each inside right/left, seven each outside right/left.) 3.Pull off the Center cloth hook by pliers. 4.Move the Massage mechanism block to the top. - 19 -

5.Remove the Center hook cloth pulling spring in the bottom. 6.Unhook J-shaped hooks (three in the bottom, one each at right/left). 7.Remove the Massage wheel cover from the Rear board. 8.Cut three Cable ties fixed on the S-shaped spring. - 20 -

9.Remove the Massage wheel cover from the Rear board. 10.Unscrew eight Screws, which fix the Rear board. 11.Cut the Cable ties two each at right/left sides, which fix the Hip hoses and Rear board. 12.Remove the Snap pins two each at right/left sides, which fix the Hip air bags. Caution in installing Be careful of the directions of the Hinge pins when installing them. - 21 -

13.Pull off the Hoses right/left, which are connected to the Hip air bags, and you can remove the Rear board. Caution in installing When installing the Air hoses to the Rear board, allocate the Air hoses to the prescribed grooves. *If the Rear cover is installed with the Air hoses not fitted to the grooves, it leads to the Hose bending, which may prevent the proper swelling of the Air bags. - 22 -

6.6. Removing the Seat * EP-MA20 does not have the Seat air bags. 1.Proceed all the procedures of 6.1. Removing the Armrests and 6.2. Removing the Outside parts. 2.Unhook the J-shaped hooks at right/left sides. 3.Pull off the Seat air hose. 4.Pull the Leg slide lever and keep the Ottoman slide extended. Cut the Cable tie and unzip the Zippers, which connect the Seat and the Ottoman. Remove the Screw-rivets, which install the Seat cloth and the Lift protection sheet. - 23 -

5. Unzip the Zippers on the reverse side of the Seat, and take out the Air bags. Caution in installing 1 Seat cloth 2 Lift protection sheet 3 Seat cloth Install these parts in row from 1 to 3 to the Under pipe with Screw-rivets. Install these parts in row from 4 to 5 to the Slide base with Screw-rivets. - 24 -

6.7. Removing the Ottoman 1.Proceed all the procedures of 6.2. Removing the Outside parts. 2.Proceed the procedure of 4 of 6.6. Removing the Seat, and unzip the Zippers, which connect the Seat and the Ottoman. 3.First, pull off the Wire fixing block sideways, and remove the convexity. 4.Cut the Cable tie, which is fixed on the Rod holder on the reverse side of the Seat, and pull three Hoses from the Joint. 5.Pull the Hoses from the Rod holder, from which Hoses are connected to the Under pipe. - 25 -

6.Remove the Hinge pin Bs, Flat washers, and U-nuts on the right/left sides, and you can remove the Ottoman block. - 26 -

6.8. Disassembling the Ottoman 1.Proceed all the procedures of 6.7. Removing the Ottoman. 2.Remove two Springs. If it is hard to do so, push down the middle of the Spring and pull up the ends of the Spring. 3.Unscrew Screws three each at right/left sides, and lift the Slider connecting plate. 4.Unscrew four Screws, and remove the Ottoman rack. - 27 -

5.Cut the Cable ties, and unzip Zippers at two locations. 6.Pull out the Hoses from the hole of the cloth, and remove one Spring and a hose, you can remove the Air ottoman cloth. 7.Unscrew five Screws, and remove the Foot under cover. 8.Pull off the Snap pin and Hinge pins one each at right/left sides, and the Ottoman separates into the Leg and the Foot. - 28 -

9.Remove the Air bags as the figure. - 29 -

Caution in installing Allocate Hoses as the figure and tighten them with Cable ties T30R. Caution in installing Be noted that there are the directions of top-to-bottom of the Sole shiatsu sheets. - 30 -

6.9. Removing the Massage mechanism block 1.Proceed all the procedures of 6.4. Removing the Rear cover. 2.Move down the Massage mechanism block to the lowest position by the Controller. 3.Unscrew four Screws, and remove the Massage mechanism block cover. 4.Unscrew the Screw, and disconnect three Connectors. 5.Cut the Cable tie, and pull off the Connecting cord for the power source from the Massage mechanism block cover clip. 6.Unscrew Screws four each from right/left, and remove the Rail piece right/left. Caution Hold the Massage mechanism block, because it may fall forward a little. - 31 -

Be careful of the directions of right/left when installing the Rail piece right/left. Caution when handling the Massage mechanism block Be sure to handle the Massage mechanism block carefully so that the PCB of the Pressure sensor is not pushed to the desk or given extra pressure when putting the Massage mechanism block, which could lead to the cracks of the PCB. This may eventually cause the malfunction such as The Body pressure levels on the Controller does not increase. It does not scan. Or The operation is not stable. etc. - 32 -

6.10. Massage block up/down sensor gear adjustment method When the Massage mechanism block is removed from the Chair, the position of the Up/down sensor gear changes resulting in the change of the up/down stop position. When installing the Massage mechanism block on the Rear frame, be sure to adjust the position with the Up/down sensor gear. Up/down sensor gear position adjustment procedure 1.Before installing, the Massage mechanism block on the Rear frame must be moved down to the lowest position by setting the Controller position adjustment button to DOWN. (Refer to the Massage block manual mode operation method.) 2.Install Rail pieces (right/left) and screw them with each four Screws. 3.Make sure that the Massage mechanism block has been mounted horizontally by moving the Massage mechanism block. * Unless the Massage mechanism block has been mounted horizontally, an abnormal sound or problems may occur. 4.Move it up to the highest position (until the Massage mechanism block stops) by setting the Controller position adjustment button to UP. 5.Peeping into the square hole of the Rear frame, check the position of the Massage mechanism block to adjust. Caution:If the Up/down gear overruns, the Up/down worm wheel cracks. *One thread of the Up/down sensor gear gives a stroke change of 4mm. *When adjusting the Up/down position, hold the Gear and adjust it. (Do not touch the Sensor board.) Adjust the distance between the square hole and Guide roller assembly to 10mm using the Controller position adjustment button. 6.Using the Controller position adjustment button, check the up/down stroke. - 33 -

6.11. Tips in installing the Connecting cord for power source Move the Massage mechanism block to the highest position. * After installing each Connecting wires, be sure to move the Massage mechanism block up and down pushing the buttons on the Controller so as to check whether each Connecting cords do not touch Belts or the Rear cover fixing plate ore at not hooked on the Up/down pinions on both sides. And check also if each Connecting cords are not extremely tense when the Massage mechanism block is at the highest position. Caution When installing the Rear cover, move the Massage mechanism block to the highest position first so as to prevent the hooking of each Connecting cords. And wind the cord around the wire. If you wind the wire around the cord, the wire becomes bent. - 34 -

6.12. Allocation of Lead wires of Massage mechanism block Allocate wires of Main PCB, each Motors, each Sensors with Cable ties as follows: - 35 -

6.13. Tips in disassembly and assembly of Massage mechanism block 6.13.1. Removing the Up/down sensor 1.Disconnect the Connector (CN106) on the Main PCB. 2.Cut Cable tie T30R x 2pcs and T18S x 1pc, which bundle the Lead wires. 3.Unscrew two Install screws on the Up/down gear box B and the Up/down sensor install stand, and remove the Up/down sensor. Caution in installing When installing the Up/down sensor, be sure to install the leg of the Up/down sensor install stand in the groove of the Up/down gear box B. - 36 -

6.13.2. Removing the Intensity sensor 1.Disconnect the Connector (CN103) on the Main PCB. 2.Cut Cable tie T30R x 2pcs and T18S x 1pc, which bundle the Lead wires. 3.Unscrew one Install screw, which fixes the Massage mechanism block frame and the Intensity install stand. Caution in installing - Put the convexity of the Massage mechanism block frame and the concavity of the Intensity sensor together. (Otherwise, it may overrun in the direction of Strong. - When fixing the Lead wires with each Cable ties, operate the Massage mechanism block in the directions of Intensity-strong and weak so as to check if the Lead wires are not pulled or hooked. (Especially, be careful of the * point, which moves in operation.) - 37 -

6.13.3. Removing the Width sensor 1.Disconnect all the Connectors on the Main PCB. 2.Cut the Cable ties T30R and T18S, which bundle each Lead wires. 3.Unscrew four Screws on the Main PCB install stand. 4.Cut the Cable tie T30R fixed on the Width sensor install stand. 5.Unscrew two Width sensor install screws. 6.Remove the Snap pin, which fixes the Width sensor plate. Caution in installing - When fixing the Lead wires with each Cable ties, operate the Massage mechanism block in the directions of Intensity-strong and weak so as to check if the Lead wires are not pulled or hooked. - Pass the Connecting cord for width sensor through the Protection tube, and bundle it and the Connecting cord for tapping motor with the Cable tie T30R. Bundle them over the white tape. (If this bundle is not proper, the Cords may be jammed in the Intensity gear and the Pinion. - 38 -

6.13.4. Removing the Width motor 1.Disconnect the Connectors (CN501, CN1, CN30) on the Main PCB. 2.Cut the Cable ties (T18S, T30R), which bundle the Lead wires. 3.Remove the Width belt. Unscrew two Width motor install screws. 6.13.5. Removing the Up/down gear block * You should disassemble the Up/down gear block first before replacing the Up/down shaft or the Up/down motor. *Execute all the procedures of 1. to 4. of 6.13..3. Removing the Width sensor. 1.Remove the Massage mechanism block from the Rear frame. 2.Unscrew ten Screws from the Massage mechanism block frame, the Up/down driving install plate, and the Intensity driving install plate. 3.Unscrew two Screws from the Up/down sensor install stand. 4.Unscrew three Screws from the Up/down gear box and the Up/down driving install plate. 5.Unscrew four Screws from the Up/down gear box A/B. 6.Unscrew two Screws from the Up/down gear box and the Up/down motor.(install the Grounding fitting on one side.) - 39 -

6.13.6. Removing the Up/down shaft (Up/down bolt) * Work after the Massage mechanism block is removed from the Massage chair. 1.Remove the Up/down bolts on the Pinion B/C with the 13mm-diameter box screwdriver and the crossed screwdriver. Caution in installing - The Up/down shaft bolt can be broken if it is too tightened. Use the Torque wrench and tighten them with the tightening torque 35-45kgfcm (350-450Ncm). 6.13.7. Removing the Grease cover 1.Adjust the Intensity at the strongest. 2.Unscrew one Screw, and remove two Snap rivets. When installing the Snap rivets, be sure to insert them firmly. Otherwise, they may come out during the usage and it leads to the resonance sounds. - 40 -

6.14.Removing each Lift units 6.14.1.Removing the Ottoman lift unit 1.Execute all the procedures of 6.9. Removing the Massage mechanism block. * The work would be safer and easier if the Massage mechanism block is completely moved to the bottom. 2.Execute all the procedures of 6.2. Removing the Outside parts. 3.Execute the procedures of 1-6 of 6.3. Removing the Under box, and disconnect the Connectors (CN107, CN201) of the Ottoman lift unit, which is connected to the Sub PCB. 4.Remove the Ottoman lift pin long and the Snap pin, and then remove the Ottoman lift unit. * It would be easier to remove the Ottoman lift unit if the Massage mechanism block is completely moved to the bottom. - 41 -

6.14.2. Removing the Reclining lift unit 1.Execute all the procedures of 6.9. Removing the Massage mechanism block. * The work would be safer and easier if the Massage mechanism block is completely moved to the bottom. 2.Execute all the procedures of 6.2. Removing the Outside parts. 3.Execute the procedures 1 to 6 of 6.3. Removing the Under box, and disconnect the Connector blue (CN108, CN200) of the Reclining lift unit connected to the Sub PCB. 4. Remove the Ottoman lift pin long and the Snap pin, and remove the Lift unit. * It would be easier to remove the Ottoman lift unit if the Massage mechanism block is completely moved to the bottom. 6.15. Removing the Rear frame 1.Execute 6.2. Removing the Outside parts and 6.5. Removing the Massage wheel cover. 2.Pull off three Pins, which fix the Rear frame. 9.2. Checking the Air bags 1.You can check the air leakage by this inspection. Remove the Under covers. Connect the Air inspection tool (WEP000S8908) and the Special hose (WEP000K8917) to each Hoses from the Under box. *Connect the Hose, to which you inspect. 2.Turn on the Power switch and push the ON/OFF button on the Controller. Open the Cover and check each operations of LEG/FOOT and HAND/ARM. If you want to check the air for hips, operate the STRETCH air bags. 3.Push the Air intensity button on the Controller and check the 5-level pressures. If values are within the standard, the Air bags, Pump unit, and Air hoses are normal. If not, the following malfunctions are assumed: 1.Bent hoses between Air bags and Pump unit 2.Malfunction of each Electromagnetic valves 3.Malfunction of Pump unit 4.Air bag rupture - 55 -

9.3. Checking the 3-way 3-roll electromagnetic valves 1.You can check the Electromagnetic valves by this inspection.proceed all the procedures of 6.2. Removing the Outside parts and 6.3. Removing the Under box. 2. Turn on the Power switch, push the On/OFF button on the Controller, open the Controller cover, and operate each HAND/ARM, LEG/FOOT. If you check the air for hips, operate the STRETCH air bags. Remove the Hose issuing air from the Hoses, and check if the operation voltages of the Electromagnetic valves issuing air are as follows: Check the Sub PCB connectors CN552, CN551, and CN550. There are the resistance between Terminals of each Electromagnetic valves. - 57 -
