LA PLONGEUR ANNIVERSARY STORY - CONCEPT THE HISTORY OF THE SPORTING ICON 1987: the offshore powerboat from the Paul Picot Team was winning the most important competition worldwide. To further consolidate the link between the brand and those fascinating and extreme challenges, Paul Picot created a sport watch within its Collection: La Plongeur. Inspired by the creativity and the vision of Mario Boiocchi, founder and President of Paul Picot, together with Hugo Berger, the watch designer of the House, one of the most innovative and sensational timepiece in term of design and identity has been developed in 1987. Like the majority of iconic designs, La Plongeur A-Type was unique, deeply simplistic, without details or unnecessary ornaments.
LA PLONGEUR ANNIVERSARY STORY THE EVOLUTION 1987-2017 Since the beginning, La Plongeur was an iconic watch and at the same time a very reliable diver instrument. But moreover, the model was different to all other diver and sport watches on the market. The best compliment for this new creation was made by many respected journalists that define the Paul Picot creation as a definitely different divers watch. ATELIER REGULATOR LAPIS LAZULI THE STONE OF THE SKY Paul Picot creates and manufactures Swiss watches with valued horological complications and an understated, elegant yet spirited design. The watches of Paul Picot have the power to inspire dreams: like the latest Atelier that presents a dial made of a gorgeous semi-precious natural stone: the lapis lazuli, the stone of the sky - symbol of friendship.
ATELIER REGULATOR LAPIS LAZULI THE STONE DIAL The complication of this timepiece is not only in the movement (exclusive calibre PP 1100 with regulator functions and COSC certificate) but also in the manufacture of the stone dial. A real craftsmanship challenge that requires a multidisciplinary know-how: from dial manufacture to jewellery art. The stone sheet that composes the dial is extremely thin: only 0.5 mm. The result is amazing and will seduce the watch experts from the entire globe: the emotion that everyone feels in front of this masterpiece is even stronger when the dial is irradiated by the sunlight. The golden reflection of the pyrite and the silver fascination of the calcite convey feelings from A thousand and one nights.
ATELIER CHERRY BLOSSOM GUILLOCHÉ INSPIRING ROMANTIC STORY Paul Picot has a recognised name in the watchmaking Métiers d Art for several years now. During Baselworld 2016, the Company has launched the Atelier Cherry Blossom, a piece that appeal to women who appreciate elegant lines, colours, arts and crafts. This inspiring romantic story continues... With outstanding dexterity and attention to detail, artists hand-paint the Cherry Blossom design on a guilloché and mother-of-pearl dial, which is showcased in the brand's iconic signature Atelier case, in 31 mm and 33 mm diameter sizes.
ATELIER CHERRY BLOSSOM INSPIRING ROMANTIC STORY The dial design is hand-made in miniature using enamel painting. Each dial takes one month to be produced. With delicate strokes of a ultrathin sable brush (one single hair), the artist applies the enamel painting to a guilloché or mother-of-pearl dial plate, which is then air-dried during 15 days (those dials can t be oven baked like the Grand Feu technique).

FIRSHIRE RONDE SMALL SECONDS THE CLASSIC OF THE CLASSIC The exquisite classic asset of this timepiece is underlined by a traditional automatic movement with the small seconds at 6H, a reduced case diameter (40 mm) as well as a state-of-the-art dial. Inspired by the past, the design is yet contemporary, rich and pure. The Firshire ronde small seconds exists in two different executions: stainless steel and two-tone (steel and 18 ct. rose gold). Five dials colours are available: white with roman figures (only for the steel version), silver and blue (both with a soleil finishing and applied bâtons indices), ivory (with applied arabic numbers) and anthracite (with a sublime shaded off dégradé effect and applied bâtons indices). A sublime dress watch targeting a refined and demanding public looking for classic timepieces.

The location of the race is around the wonderful Garda Lake in Italy, a very well-known place by the cars lovers as well as for its famous races such as the Mille Miglia. Minoia and Morandi have won the Mille Miglia s first edition in 1927 and Paul Picot makes a tribute to these legendary car drivers with a special Gentleman chronograph edition.
GENTLEMAN C L A S S I C 42 M I N OIA - MORANDI M I N OIA & MORANDI T H E F I R S T W I N N E R S OF M I L L E M I GLIA This year, the brand headquartered in Le Noirmont is launching the 3- hands version of the Minoia Morandi Chronograph. A classic watch case with a diameter of 42 mm like the Chronograph version but thinner and more elegant. The case in stainless steel is characterised by a personalised logo at 9 o clock, which perfectly matches the black mat dial with Arabic numbers, inspired by the car instruments. A red seconds hand and red driver name give a sporty touch. A warm strap in Vintage calf leather finally completes these two watches. To celebrate the year of the 1 st Mille Miglia race, the first 27 bundles are sold as a pair within a single gift box.
