PRODUCT No 6877 1 001-10 Assembly Instructions 1 Place the fibre tray on a flat clean surface 2 Remove metal lid by removing the fasteners on each side and the thumbscrew on the front 3 Determine the 2 positions where the cable will enter the fibre tray Insert and fasten the cable glands into the desired positions as shown 4 Wherever cable entries are not used, place cable entry plugs into the remaining positions as shown 5 Position the strain relief posts to the fibre tray using the M6 x 10mm screws and M6 shake proof washer as shown Fastener to remove lid M6 x 10mm inserted from the underside of tray Fastener to remove lid Part No: 1676740 Issue: C Sheet 3 of 8

PRODUCT No 6877 1 001-10 50 95 225 Assembly Instructions (cont d) 9 The mounting brackets can be orientated in 2 forward and 1 rearward facing positions The fibre tray brackets are pre-assembled in the 95mm forward position as shown on the far left To mount the bracket in the forward 50mm position (as shown second from left) remove the 3 fasteners and position the bracket forward in the last 3 mounting bracket holes The patch panel must be supported at the rear when using the forward 50mm mounting position The rear mounting position of 225mm (as shown far right) is possible by rotating the bracket 180 and aligning it to the desired mounting holes ensuring that all 3 fasteners are used Part No: 1676740 Issue: C Sheet 6 of 8
PRODUCT No 6877 1 001-10 Assembly Instructions (cont d) 10 Ensure that the front thumbscrew and 2 side screws are retightened to close the fibre tray 11 Mount the fibre tray to a 19 inch rack using the cage nuts and M6 x 12mm screws provided 12 Once installation has finished tear the supplied non-adhesive label along the perforated edge Insert both labels into the front clear sleeves 13 Earth the fibre tray using the M6 x 10mm pan head screw supplied The earth point is located on the rear of the tray Side screw for lid Insert paper labels into sleeves Thumbscrew Earth to rear of fibre tray Part No: 1676740 Issue: C Sheet 7 of 8
PRODUCT No 6877 1 001-10 Spiral Wrap Installation 14 Thread the stripped optical fibre inside the spiral wrap for protection The spiral wrap should be routed as shown in the image below to allow for the sliding tray to operate 15 Expose the CSM and strain relief out from the side of spiral wrap and secure to the terminal posts 16 Secure the end of the spiral wrap to the cable guide as shown using Velcro Do not secure the spiral tube wrap to the inside of the cable guide Pull the CSM through the side of the spiral wrap and secure it through the hole in the terminal post Velcro Tie the spiral tube wrap to the outside of the cable guide Spiral wrap Pull the Kevlar strain relief through the side of the spiral wrap and secure it to the terminal post by wrapping it around the M6 fastening screw before tightening Optic fibre Part No: 1676740 Issue: C Sheet 8 of 8
