Choose your frame rail. The new Mack frame rails are made from a high-strength, low-alloy steel that s quenched and tempered to a minimum yield strength of 120,000 p.s.i. Plus, liners can be added to help you spec with greater flexibility. Cornerstone Chassis Mack Custom Crossmembers A cool new radiator. The Granite Axle Back has a large radiator to provide greater cooling power and help the truck run efficiently. The new radiator, charged air cooler, condenser and recirculation shields make up an advanced, balanced heat exchanger package that lowers operating temperatures. A fan of efficiency. An electronically controlled fan integrated into our Vehicle Management and Control (V-MAC ) electronics system automatically knows when to kick on and off. This ensures the fan runs only as much as needed to maintain proper operating temperature. The new fan design is whisperquiet, saves fuel and keeps dust kick-up to a minimum at dusty jobsites.
