Page 1 of 11 2011 Nissan Rogue : Body > Interior > Instrument Panel > Removal & Installation Removal & Installation 1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section. CAUTION Always work from the side of air bag module. Do not work in front of it. Do not use air tools or electric tools for servicing. CAUTION Before servicing components near or affected by the SRS (air bag) system, read and observe all SRS Service Precautions. Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), in the Chassis Electrical section. Failure to observe all precautions may result in accidental airbag deployment, personal injury, or death. 2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 3 minutes for the SRS memory to drain. 3. Put selector lever in [N] or [D] position. 4. Remove console finisher. 5. Remove console finisher fixing pawls and metal clips with remover tool. 6. Pull console finisher upward to disengage from center console. Console finisher (1) and tool (A) 7. Using remover tool, release the cluster lid D fixing pawls and clips, from lower to upper, from instrument panel. Release harness connectors.

Page 2 of 11 Using remover tool (A), release cluster lid D (1) 8. Remove screws of the center console front side. Screws (A) of center console front side 9. Carefully remove the instrument panel lower covers (left and right): Pull from the rear of instrument panel lower cover to release rear pawls, use remover tool to release upper clips. Pull backward to release instrument panel lower cover from instrument panel. Instrument panel lower covers (1), left-hand and right-hand 10. Remove the center console front fixing screws and clips.

Page 3 of 11 Remove the center console (1) front fixing screws (A) and clips (B) 11. Remove the center console rear fixing screws; move forward front seats if necessary. Remove the center console rear fixing screws (A) 12. Lift up the center console and disconnect harness connectors. 13. Remove the center console assembly. Always move center console with caution to avoid damaging seats, or other part. 14. Remove center speaker grill (with BOSE audio): Remove center speaker grill fixing pawls with remover tool. Pull up center speaker grill from cluster lid C. 15. Remove center speaker (with BOSE audio). 16. Remove cluster lid C fixing pawls and metal clips with remover tool. Remove cluster lid C (1) fixing pawls and metal lips with remover tool (A) 17. Pull back cluster lid C from lower to upper part and release the harness connector. 18. Remove the audio unit, harness connector and antenna feeder.

Page 4 of 11 19. Remove the left instrument side panel. Left instrument side panel (1) and remover tool (A) 20. Remove the front left body side welt. 21. Remove the front left pillar garnish. Body side trim components 22. Disengage the left tweeter grill fixing pawls with remover tool and remove the left tweeter grill.

Page 5 of 11 Disengage the left tweeter grill (1) fixing pawls with remover tool (A) 23. Remove the driver s side lower instrument panel: Remove driver s side lower instrument panel (1) mounting screw (A). Pull back driver s side lower instrument panel. Release date link connector (pawl) then remove it from driver s side lower instrument panel. Release hood opener cable. Disconnect harness clamp. Drivers side lower instrument panel (1) and mounting screw (A) 24. Remove the knee protector mounting bolts and the remove knee protector.

Page 6 of 11 Remove the knee protector mounting bolts (A) and the remove knee protector (1) 25. Remove the steering wheel and column covers. Refer to Steering Wheel Removal & Installation in the Steering section. 26. Remove the steering column covers. Release the steering column handle. Remove the steering lock escutcheon. Remove the steering column lower cover mounting screws. Pull up the steering column upper cover, and then remove steering column upper cover. Pull down the steering column lower cover, and then remove steering column lower cover. Release steering column finisher fixing pawls, and then remove steering column finisher.

Page 7 of 11 Steering lock escutcheon (1), lower cover (2), mounting screws (A), upper cover (3), and finisher (4) 27. Remove the combination switch. Refer to Multifunction Switch Removal & Installation in the Chassis Electrical section. 28. Remove the cluster lid A.

Page 8 of 11 Remove the cluster lid A (1) 29. Remove the instrument cluster (combination meter) screws. 30. Disconnect the harness connector and remove instrument cluster. 31. Remove the drivers left switch panel. Drivers side left switch panel 32. Remove the right instrument side panel.

Page 9 of 11 Remove the right instrument side panel (1) 33. Remove the front right body side welt. 34. Remove the right tweeter grill. 35. Remove the front right pillar garnish. 36. Remove the glove box assembly. Open the glove box lid. Remove the mounting screws. Pull the glove box assembly. Disconnect the glove box lamp harness connector. Glove box assembly (1) and mounting screws (A) 37. Disconnect the passenger air bag module connector. 38. Remove the passenger air bag module fixing bolt. 39. Remove instrument panel assembly mounting screws and bolts. WARNING Cover the tool with a shop cloth to prevent windshield glass being damaged.

Page 10 of 11 Instrument panel assembly mounting screws (A) and bolts (B) 40. Release the floor panel harness clamps from the panel assembly. Release the floor panel harness clamps (A) from the instrument panel (1) 41. Release the glove box harness clamps from the instrument panel.
