All console piping, tubing, tube fittings and mounting brackets shall be of 304 SS. ii) iii) iv) Console shall have a 304 SS sunscreen roof. No heating elements shall come into direct contact with the lubricating oil. The atomizing device, generator head, shall have an air bypass regulator to control mist density. v) The generator (mist) head shall provide 125% of the required airflow without exceeding the maximum capacity of the head. The head shall also be capable of proper misting operating down to 50% of rated flow. vi) vii) viii) vix) vx) vxi) The design of the mist head shall be such that its capacity can be changed without complete removal of the mist head from the console. Mist head shall include an air/oil heater. Console shall have an auxiliary back-up unit with the following: Oil mist generating capacity shall be equal to and of the same design as the main unit capable of operating independently from the main generating system provide a 10 micron oil filter easily accessible for maintenance. The oil reservoir of the main mist-generating chamber shall allow the system to operate for a minimum of 72 hours without refill. Oil reservoir shall include the following: - Level sight glass with normal operating level indicated - Fill connection with filtering screen - Tank vent - Low point drain - Low level probe - Temperature indicator - Pressure relief valve - Removable cover plate - Low point drain and valve - Low level alarm switch - Pressure gauge - Mist injection valve 2.10 Inlet Air System 2.10.1 The inlet air system shall include the following: Filter/moisture separator Pressure regulator 2.11 Instrumentation

As a minimum the following variables shall be monitored: - Oil supply pressure - Supply air pressure - Regulated air pressure - Mist header pressure - Mist density - Air/oil temperature - Oil level in the mist-generating reservoir - Oil level in the bulk oil supply tank - Oil temperature in the bulk oil supply tank - Ambient temperature - The oil mist vendor shall provide a local control panel. Values for the above parameters shall be displayed on command on the panel. 2.12 Instruments and Safety Controls 2.12.1 Alarm switches for low discharge pressure, low oil reservoir level, and high filter differential pressure shall be provided. The switches shall be explosion-proof dual switches. The switches shall be closed (energized) during normal operation. The contractor shall provide for local or remote annunciation of oil system alarms. Contractor is also responsible for confirming that all system electrical components are suitable for the hazardous area classification. 2.12.2 An annunciator with manual reset sequence shall be furnished by the Purchaser and located in the local control panel. 2.12.3 Provide an auxiliary relay connected to a common trouble alarm located in the control center. This auxiliary relay shall be activated by all alarms. 2.13 Piping 2.13.1 All distribution piping and tubing shall be provided by EPC contractor. 2.13.2 Main headers shall be 2 inches (50 mm) galvanized steel pipe and shall not exceed 600 feet (180 meters) in length. The oil mist supply vendor shall insure that the time required for oil mist to reach the most distant point(s) on a header shall not exceed 5 minutes. 2.13.3 All headers shall be sloped continuously downward to the console at a minimum rate of 1/240. An auto drain leg shall be used when any portion of the header cannot be continuously sloped to the console due to obstructions. 2.13.4 There shall be no block valves in the header downstream of the switching valves that control the flow of mist from the mist generator. 2.13.5 Pockets shall be avoided. 2.13.6 Branch headers shall be 2 inch (50mm) stainless galvanized steel pipe. 2.13.7 Drop points shall be ¾ inch (19mm) stainless galvanized steel pipe and shall come off the top of the headers.
