Do not use the article if you detect any kind of damage. CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Do not operate the LED work lamp in potentially explosive environments in which there are inflam mable vapours, gases or dusts. Protect the appliance from moisture and damp. Never immerse the device in water or other liquids! Connect the LED work lamp to a properly installed mains socket only. The voltages must comply with information given in the section Technical data. Ensure that the electrical socket is easily accessible so that you can pull the plug quickly out of the socket if necessary. Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the product yourself. The LEDs cannot and must not be replaced. CAUTION! The protective surround to the LEDs cannot be replaced. Dispose of the LED work lamp if you discover cracks or signs of fracture on the protective surround. Dispose of the product if the LED work lamp, mains adapter or charging station is damaged. Never connect the LED work lamp to a power supply socket if the LED work lamp, power lead or socket is damaged or the LED work lamp has been dropped. Ensure that the power lead cannot become damaged by sharp edges or hot objects. Unwind all the lead completely before use. Keep easily flammable materials away the product. Never hang objects above the LED work lamp or the mains adapter and never cover them. Pull the mains adapter / plug out of the mains socket when you are not using the LED work lamp or before you clean it. Do this as well if signs of a fault develop during use or charging, e.g. smoke, burning smell etc., or during a storm. When doing this, pull directly on the mains adapter / plug and not on the lead. Protect the product from extreme heat and cold. The product is only suited for use with the included mains adapter (model no. SD-B0501000D). Please note that the power adapter continues to draw a small amount of power even if the lamp is turned off as long as the power adapter is plugged into a power outlet. To switch the device off completely, unplug the power adapter from the socket. The illuminant is not replaceable. If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the entire light must be replaced. Before use Charging the LED work lamp Note: You can charge the LED work lamp from an ordinary domestic mains power outlet. Note: To use the LED work lamp without an adapter, you must first charge the integral rechargeable batteries. It takes approx. 6-8 hours. Note: Fully charge the LED work lamp before first use. Note: If the LED work lamp has not been charged for an extended period of time (approx. 2 months), you could find that the integral rechargeable batteries have entered a dormant state. Charge and discharge the LED work lamp a number of times in succession to reactivate the integral rechargeable batteries. Note: You can choose to charge the LED work lamp directly via the mains adapter or via the charging station. Before charging, switch the LED work lamp off (press ON / OFF switch 4 ). To charge the LED work lamp via mains adapter 10 directly, plug the male connector of the mains adapter into the female connector on the work light 7. To charge the LED work lamp via the charging station, plug the male connector of the mains adapter into the female connector on the charging station 9. Then place the LED work lamp into the charging station to charge the product (See Fig. B). Note: The product is fitted with an overcharge protection circuit. Despite this, you should disconnect the LED inspection lamp from the power supply after the charging process is complete. Note: During charging, the charge indicator LED lights up red. When charging is complete, the charge indicator LED lights up green. When the charge indicator LED is green, pull the mains adapter out of the socket. Disconnect the adapter from the LED work lamp to prevent the batteries from discharging. Use CAUTION RISK OF ACCIDENT! Always store and secure the LED work lamp in such a way that there is no risk of injury from or damage to the product, even during full braking. Note: The LED work light features magnets 6 on the back. Ensure the metallic surface is sufficiently magnetisable to carry the weight of the light, before you use the magnets 6. Using the LED work light without a power connection Fully charge the LED work lamp as described in the section Charging the LED work lamp. Press the ON / OFF switch 4 to turn the inspection light 2 on. Press the ON / OFF switch 4 again to turn the torch 1 on. Press the ON / OFF switch 4 the third time, the entire LED work light will be switched off. Corded use of the LED work lamp Use the included mains adapter for this purpose. Using the respective adapter, connect the inspection light to a suitable power supply. Then proceed as described under Using the LED inspection light without a power connection (starting with step 2). NOTE: The LED work lamp can only be charged whilst off! GB/IE/NI 9
Fixing the device The LED work light can be used in 2 ways without having to hold it in your hand: Hold the magnet 6 against a metallic magnetic surface. The LED work light remains in this position. Fold out the hook 5 to suspend the LED work light from a suitable suspension point. The hook can be turned through 360 degree. Mounting the charging station (See Fig. C) Note: You will need an electric drill. CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Please read the operating instructions for your drill. CAUTION! Ensure that you do not damage any electricity cables in the wall or ceiling. Mark the two mounting holes at a distance of approx. 35 mm apart. Now drill the holes on the wall (Ø approx. 6 mm; depth approx. 30 mm). Insert the dowels 13 into the drilled holes. If necessary use a hammer to make this easier. Screw up the screws 12 on the dowels. Now hang the charging station to the screws via the mounting holes 11. Maintenance and cleaning The product requires no maintenance. The LEDs cannot be replaced. Switch off and disconnect the product from the power supply before you clean it. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents.
