Comprehensive Program of COBRA EUCARPIA ECO BP Meeting 24 th till 26 th of June 2015 at Technische Universität München (TUM) Weihenstephan Location: Weihenstephan, close to Munich airport in Germany Local organiser: Dr. Jörg Peter Baresel, Department of Plant Science, TUM baresel@wzw.tum.de On the 24 th till 26 th of June we are organising three different events related to plant breeding at the TUM Weihenstephan. On the 24 th till 25 th June 2015 there will be meetings of different WP groups of the European Project COBRA with the possibility of attending one of the two field tours. On the 25 th till the 26 th June 2015 we will inaugurate a new EUCARPIA Working Group on Plant Microbe Interaction. This working group should stimulate the exchange between new research in plant microbe interaction and potential applications in plant breeding. We hope for extensive exchange among the participants. On the 26 th June 2015 there will also a working group meeting of the European Consortium for Organic Plant breeding. Please register for all events that you are planning to participate to support the local organisation. Registration fee is only requested for EUCARPIA Workshop for covering the travel costs of invited speakers. Cost for accommodation, lunch, and dinner will be covered by the participants. Journey time is 18 minutes. From there to the Meeting place, it takes about 10 minutes by foot, or you can take Bus No. 639 from the Station to Freising Weihenstephan and then climb the hill. This bus departs every 10 minutes. By train Munich central station Freising station It takes approximately 40 minutes by S Bahn (suburban train) from Munich central station to Freising station using line S1 Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV) Schedule It takes approximately 25 minutes by local train from Munich central station to Freising station (directions Munich Regensburg, Munich Passau) Deutsche Bahn Schedule Here you can find a combined schedule for all connections between Munich and Freising. When leaving the station via the main entrance, you will find the city bus lines on the right hand side. Lines 638 and 639 are running to Weihenstephan Campus. By bus From Freising station you can reach the campus by city bus lines 638 and 639 (stop Weihenstephan) within approximately 7 minutes travel time. Line 638 direction Hittostraße/Fraunhofer Institut (schedule) runs 4 times per hour taking 8 minutes from Freising station to Weihenstephan Campus.
Line 639 (schedule) runs every 30 minutes taking 6 minutes from Freising station to Weihenstephan Campus and via the forest science buildings and Lange Point back to the station. By foot By foot it will take you approximately 20 minutes from Freising station to Weihenstephan Campus.
