Safety Recall - No SRPC1624 Title: Correct routing of wiring harness on fuel module Model: 213 E-Class Codeword: 1609P47C48 Dear Colleague On the above model E-Class, produced between October 2015 and August 2016, the rear bench seat frame may come into contact with the wiring harness for the fuel system control unit causing damage to the wiring. Depending on which particular wire is damaged, the fuel pump, tank pressure sensor or the tank fill level indicator may malfunction. Should the fuel pump wiring be damaged, fuel delivery to the engine may be prevented and the engine may then stall. Depending on the traffic situation this may present a risk to the occupants and other road users. Please change the routing of the wiring harness to the fuel system control unit and, if necessary, repair the wiring harness as described on the attached work instructions.
