KRACHT Flow Measurement Flow Measurement 3 Gear Type Flow Meter VC» You can only correctly produce that has been correctly measured in advance. «(A basic rule of measurement and control technology.) Development Flow Measurement - that means high-dynamic, precise volume and flow measurements, evaluated according to the application - from a simple display unit to an intelligent microcontroller solution. The basis for all this is the KRACHT volume counter. This flow measure product presents the successful result of our longexperienced engineers. The highly-efficient KRACHT electronics takes the signals given by the volume counter and ensures that processes are exactly monitored, regulated and controlled. For example, in process technology as micro-controller for metering and mixing systems, or as flexible measuring and recording electronics for differentiated applications in test bench technology. The sophisticated tooth system geometry in connection with application-specific bearings are made for the volume counter being an absolute All-rounder. The volume counter covers a wide medium range: to go from hydraulic oil to printing ink, from gear grease to water based lacquer.

4 Flow Measurement The current average age of the machines is approx. 2 years. Design The core of the design department is the perfect support and updating of all products. Rapid adaptation of standard meters to customer wishes with the related services is supported by integrated data-engineering dialogue. Based on direct collaboration (simultaneous engineering), development times for specific customer solutions have been significantly shortened. Constantly updating and using high-end 2D and 3D software (Unigraphics) has ensured that the increasing future demands are optimally solved. The designing results during the design process are inspected and optimised by using the finite element method (FEM) along with other calculation methods. Furthermore, our flow measurement units are put through 100% checks in our own test site. That ensures the high quality standard of our products and guarantees ideal functionality. Production The components used in our meters are manufactured in all frame sizes from cast along with stainless steel and aluminium. The dimensional accuracy of the components throughout the entire material spectrum lies in the μm range. The housings and covers are fabricated entirely in our highlymodern machining centres. The coolant temperature constancy, a cooling system for the ball screws and a linear system for all axes secures precise manufacture of all components. To reduce the clamping and setup times, all machines are equipped with up to 32 multiple palettes and have tool monitoring systems for automatic processing. The processing tools being used are ceramic, CBN or TIN coated, which is another tribute to the high KRACHT quality. We manufacture the gears on our ultra-modern gear hobbers, rolling/profile grinding machines and cylindrical outer and inner grinding machines. Pre-turned blanks are prepared and machined on CNC grinding machines with vertical workpiece axes. The outer cylindrical grinding is performed on a CNC angular plunge-cut or cylindrical outer grinding machines. This grinding technology is highly versatile while simultaneously impressive with its enormous productivity. We are able to grind nearly all workpiece contours with one single grindstone and that with one single fixing. After completing the cylindrical outer grinding, the gear components are finally polished on CNC flank sanders using the generation grinding method or profile grinding method. The measuring devices integrated in the machine setup facilitate measuring all relevant gear teeth sizes. That leads to a considerable reduction in the setup times when setting up new machining jobs.

Cross-Validation The flow meter device is measured against a DKD (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst = German Calibration Service) calibrated meter and confirmed analogously. 2. Characteristic Curve Establishment The meter is tested against a cylinder whose volume is defined. The precise characteristic curve is documented here as a model for a flow meter VC 1, series 1. Both check variations include the control of all important landmarks. 14 Flow Measurement Product Portfolio Electronics The plug-on display, the SD 1, is an onsite display that can be used universally for all volume counter series (VC, SVC, TM) with Hirschmann plugs. Flow rate or volume indicators can be optionally attached to the display. The AS 8 microcontroller processes incremental input signals from the flow measuring devices. The input signals are filtered in the unit, converted, and computed into the physical sizes of flow rate or volumes.
