Split Barrel Sampler Assemblies Continuous sample barrels are split into two 0 (7mm) sections joined by a center coupling for added strength. The complete assembly includes a head assembly, two 0 (7mm) barrel sections, a coupler, and a penetrating shoe. The shoe is hardened by a special heat treating process for longer life.
