Page: 1(7) Introduction The Stafsjö WB knife gate valve is a bi-directional seated valve with full bore. Its main applications are different liquids at water, waste water and biogas plants. The WB is designed of a one piece valve body in cast iron. The sealing profile of Nitrile or EPDM is in level with the bore of the body which counteract clogging of the valve. The gate in polished stainless steel guarantees low actuating operations and minimal wear. The unique Stafsjö box packing TwinPack in three layers gives a secure sealing and high operation reliability. The flange sealing is made of rubber and it is integrated in the body of the valve. Further flange gaskets are therefore unnecessary. Due to the flexible design, The WB can be equipped with different types of manual and automatic actuators and accessories, such as limit switches. The Stafsjö knife gate valve WB is designed, manufactured, inspected and tested according to the European directive Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 97/23/EC) category II module A1 and is therefore CE marked.
