The beds are designed around hygiene and infection control, with rounded edges and open areas to facilitate cleaning procedures. All Activ8 models in the range feature a low mattress platform and split side rails to facilitate safe and easy ingress and egress from the bed. Standard functions include auto regression for pressure reduction in the femoral and leg sections, and cardiac chair position for improved patient comfort. Head and foot ends are easy to remove, giving fast and unencumbered access to patients for emergency treatment. Activ8 beds are designed around hygiene and infection control, with rounded edges and open areas to facilitate cleaning procedures. Can be activated by patient using handset. Offers improved patient orientation and safety. FIFTH WHEEL Mechanical centrally located foot pedal operates an optional 5th wheel for improved maneouvrability during transportation. STABLE 3 COLUMN ACTUATOR CONSTRUCTION Mattress platform rises and lowers on three electrically operated columns ensuring stability and load capacity. Resilient, nonabsorbent materials facilitate cleaning procedures. ONE TOUCH EGRESS BUTTON Mobility handle, integrated side rail handle and one touch egress button makes getting in and out of the bed safe and easy. Egress button assists patient to a sitting position then an upright position using adjustments of the mattress platform. X-RAY TRANSLUCENT MATTRESS PLATFORM Constructed around four section x-ray transparent mattress platforms to facilitate the easy use of C-arm and other x-ray procedures with, with channels for x-ray cassettes located under the backrest, fixed and femoral sections to facilitate use of x-ray equipment with patients in either seated or horizontal positions.
