The kit consists of the following elements: Drill 18.5mm, 1 pc. Set of connectors, 4 pcs. Band clips, 15 pcs. Screws, 2 pcs. Control module (the type depends on the version), 1 pc. Sensors, 4 8 pcs. Single wire harness, 1 pc Front sensors harness, 1 pc. * Rear sensors harness, 1 pc. LCD control screen (the type depends on the version), 1 pc. ** Buzzer, 1 pc. *** Fitting instructions, 1 pc. * - Applicable for the kit with 8 sensors ** - Not applicable for Kit 1 *** - For Kit 1 Fitting instructions: 1. It is necessary to keep all the minimum distances as shown in Fig. 1 of the original fitting instructions. 2. The control module does not require to be restarted once installed. 3. Disconnect the battery before connecting the module! Failing to comply with this principle creates a risk of damaging the control module!!! 4. The product may only be fitted by appropriately qualified persons. 5. The sensors must not be fitted directly before the metal beam used as a reinforcement of the front or rear bumper. Failing to obey this principle may result in faulty operation of the sensors. 6. Sensor power supply harness should be properly arranged and fixed so it does not get damaged during normal operating conditions. See Fig. 5, 6, 7 in the original fitting instructions. 7. Make sure the sensor harness is connected in compliance with the markings which can be seen both on harness terminals and on the module housing. Fig. 6 in the original fitting instructions. 8. The harness should be connected as shown in Fig. 7 in the original fitting instructions, according to the diagram: - Black colour supply common of the device - Red colour Power supply from the reverse lamp (positive end) Page 1 of 6
- Pink colour Power supply delivered after turning the vehicle ignition switch on (ACC +) 9. After making sure the power supply and external devices are connected properly, reconnect the battery. 10. In case of the kit that is suitable for tow hook equipped vehicles, it is necessary to carry out the process of sensor learning, but only when the sensors detect the hook as an obstacle. The process consists of throwing into and out of reverse gear 5 times, with the frequency of at least one change per 10s, provided that when the reverse gear is thrown into for the first time, the sensors detect the obstacle. Fig. 10 in the original fitting instructions. 11. When the sensors are correctly installed, the system should work as follows: - After turning the ignition switch on, front sensors are activated for 30s; - After throwing into reverse gear, rear and front sensors are activated; - After throwing out of reverse gear, front sensors are activated for 30s. 12. Correct indications of the device should be as follows: Front sensors: Distance from the obstacle greater than 0.70 m no sound, one yellow bar on the control screen, the arrow is directed upwards. Distance from the obstacle between 0.69m 0.60m separate sounds, more yellow bars appear on the control screen, the arrow is directed upwards. Distance from the obstacle between 0.59m 0.30m frequency of sound is increasing, more yellow bars and the first red bar appear on the control screen, the arrow is directed upwards. Distance from the obstacle smaller than 0.30m the sound becomes continuous, -P symbol appears on the control screen, all yellow and red bars are visible, the arrow is directed upwards. Page 2 of 6
Rear sensors: Distance from the obstacle between 1.60m and 1.50m no sound, one yellow bar on the control screen, the arrow is directed downwards. Distance from the obstacle between 1.49m and 0.90m separate sounds, more yellow bars appear on the control screen, the arrow is directed downwards. Distance from the obstacle between 0.89m and 0.60m frequency of sound is increasing, more yellow bars appear on the control screen, the arrow is directed downwards. Distance from the obstacle between 0.59m and 0.30m frequency of sound is increasing, more yellow bars and the first red bar appear on the control screen, the arrow is directed downwards. Distance from the obstacle smaller than 0.30m the sound becomes continuous, -P symbol appears on the control screen, all yellow and red bars are visible, the arrow is directed downwards. Page 3 of 6
The control screen shows a symbol of a car that displays signals from the sensors according to the following diagram. FRONT OF THE CAR BACK OF THE CAR Page 4 of 6
14. The device is equipped with a self-diagnosis system. Possible failures and visible symptoms have been shown on the drawings below. E1 symbol appears on the control screen heard 1 sensor is damaged. E2 symbol appears on the control screen heard 2 sensors are damaged. E3 symbol appears on the control screen heard 3 sensors are damaged. E4 symbol appears on the control screen heard 4 sensors are damaged. In case a failure occurs, it is necessary to check if the sensor is fitted correctly or if it suffered any mechanical damage. If the sensor requires to be replaced, a new one should be ordered. It is available under number 632005. Page 5 of 6
15. Depending on the original kit fitted, it is possible to extend the kit with a front control screen kit No. 1 or with a rear control screen fixed to the vehicle headliner (recommended for estate cars) all the remaining kits but No. 4. 16. People who care about the aesthetics of their vehicle may choose to buy separate sensors: - Dull black; - Gloss black; - Silver; - Paintable (the product is covered with a background varnish) REMEMBER: THE PARKING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM DOES NOT EXCUSE THE DRIVER FROM THE NEED TO PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION WHEN CARRYING OUT PARKING MANOEUVRES, IN PARTICULAR THE REVERSE PARKING!!!
