After extensive testing in the wind tunnel, the result was the perfect balancing of the vehicle by fine adjustment of the aerodynamic wheel loads. Driving stability and agility have been further increased, and so, too, has driving pleasure. As we ve already said, there is no substitute for Porsche Tequipment. Cayman Aerokit Cayman Aerokit There is always room for improvement as far as track performance is concerned. The same applies even to the Cayman, which is why we designed the Cayman Aerokit. Optimised in the Porsche wind tunnel, its components improve aerodynamics and reduce lift coefficients on both axles. Newly styled front spoiler lips and the fixed rear spoiler deliver an even more stable drive and give your Cayman an even sportier appearance. Please note that the ground clearance is reduced. Front spoiler lips and rear spoiler may not be fitted separately for aerodynamic reasons. Decorative side lettering Decorative side lettering One of the first models with the decorative logo on the side was the legendary 911 Carrera RS 2.7 in 1972. Only the highest standards are acceptable. Everything is perfectly in tune. Just like the audio and communication technologies from Porsche Tequipment, which turn your Porsche into a mobile communications centre. All designed to keep you fully informed, to ensure you reach your destination and, of course, to enhance your driving pleasure. Universal audio interface This is integrated into the storage compartment in the centre console 45

Universal audio interface and provides three connections: one for an ipod, one for a USB stick and one as an AUX interface for connecting any compatible audio source of your choice. The ipod or USB stick can be controlled conveniently using the PCM, the multifunction steering wheel or the voice control system. Only in conjunction with PCM. 46

Vehicle tracking system Vehicle tracking system Enables remote location of a stolen vehicle in 27 countries of the European Union as well as Russia and South Africa. Location is not continual, but occurs only in the event of an alarm. A silent alarm is automatically triggered if the car is stolen or tampered with, or after notification from the vehicle owner. In addition to the extra security offered by this system, it may also, depending on the country, reduce your insurance premium. The system has been tested using multiple simulated thefts in 27 European countries and Russia and the service has been adapted to fully meet Porsche quality requirements. Your Porsche Centre will be happy to provide you with further information. Only for vehicles with optional factory-fitted preparation for vehicle tracking system. A separate contract with the service provider recommended by your Porsche Centre is required, which is subject to additional charges. 47

Cordless handset for telephone module Cordless handset for telephone module Handset display and a separate keypad for making telephone calls discreetly. Voice control system (not shown) Almost all of the functions of the latest PCM can be activated by voice control. The system recognises commands or figure sequences irrespective of the speaker. It gives audible feedback and guides you through the functions. Without needing to train the system, phone book entries can be retrieved, a radio station selected or the navigation destination entered directly by speaking whole words rather than dictating just one letter at a time. Only for vehicles with PCM. 48

Electronic logbook Electronic logbook 1 The optional electronic logbook enables automatic recording of mileage, route distance, time and date, starting point and destination as part of every journey. Once you have downloaded the logbooks from PCM via Bluetooth or the optional USB interface, you can evaluate the data on your home PC using the software supplied. Telephone module 1 Available as an option, the GSM telephone module offers convenience and excellent reception. By inserting a SIM card directly into the PCM s integral SIM card reader, calls can be made using either the hands-free facility or the optionally available cordless handset. For even more convenience, the Bluetooth capability of a mobile phone can be used to make calls through the SIM Access Profile (SAP) 2. Mobile phone preparation 1 To enable a Bluetooth connection for those mobile phones that only support the Handsfree Profile (HFP), an optional hands-free facility is available. With HFP, PCM acts merely as a hands-free system and can be used to control only the basic functions of the phone. The GSM connection is established through the aerial of the mobile phone. 49

Thanks to the new child seats from Porsche Tequipment, you can safely carry passengers who are under 12 years of age. And plenty of luggage, too. The Cayman boasts a luggage compartment capacity of 410 litres 150 litres at the front and 260 litres at the rear. Of course, you can also tailor your Cayman to suit your own transport requirements and make it even more practical, whatever the weather. 52

Every Porsche is designed not only to deliver supreme performance, but also to protect what s most important: its occupants. Nevertheless, you can make the journey even safer for your little ones by fitting child seats from Porsche Tequipment. Porsche child seats The Porsche child seats in a new design, meeting the latest safety standards. Specially tested and approved for Porsche cars, they provide protection and comfort to passengers up to 12 years of age. The fabrics are breathable and easy to clean with a removable and washable cover in black and grey with a contrasting red trim. The child seats can be fixed conveniently and safely on the passenger seat using a preparation kit or the three-point belt system. For increased safety, the Porsche Baby and Porsche Junior Seat ISOFIX have an independent five-point belt system. 53
